Excellent Hotel, Great Value for Money”

Very, very pleased to have decided to stay at Amazing Hotel in Mandalay. Things I love about this hotel: 1) Excellent service from the staff - the reception is very knowledgeable about the area and is ready to provide information. Very helpful with arranging our transportation and were honest about the rates we should be paying. We were lucky to be paired with an awesome driver (Bon Than?). He was gem! 2) The room is huge! Very surprised how huge (and high-ceilinged) our room was considering we only booked a standard twin room. It comes with in-house tea/coffee making facility, and they give you a plate of fruits to welcome you. 3) The bathroom is quite modern, and is equipped with good quality toiletries and plush towels. It's also very spacious. 4) The bed was amazing! Certainly on par with hotels abroad. 5) Morning pack meals - as we were leaving very early to board our ferry the next day, we informed that hotel that we miss the chance to enjoy their breakfast so they packed a meal for us (2 eggs, 1 banana and a croissant). Thing we didn't like / or care too much: 1) The Spa - quite well done and proper but the quality of massage is not there yet. While it was inexpensive, it wasn't that enjoyable and I got bored halfway. Our only regret is that we only stayed 1 night in Mandalay. I will definitely come back and stay here again. Highly recommended!

Excellent to stay in Mandalay”

Early October, we were 5 hotel staff from Khao Lak - Thailand, stayed 3 nights in this hotel. We like and enjoyed staying there very much. all the staff, Porters through to the General manager were very friendly. Every morning she came to greetings us. On 10 October, one of our group was birthday and received a complimentary' birthday cake'... that was a big surprise from our trip. Staff are very helpful and they can arrange everything to assist you whatever you need and to fulfill your unforgettable holiday in Myanmar. We rent 7 seats private taxi with driver whom can speak English very well his name, Aung Naing Bo, we used him the whole our marvelous holiday in Mandalay and Bagan. Aung naing Both is qualify to be guide and driver. Exchange money, better to go to money changer than the bank and there is a Jewelry Shop which is almost 1km from this hotel, they offer good exchange rate. I strongly recommend you guys to stay this hotel when you go to Mandalay and use driver Mr. Aung Naing Bo. his name is also can be searched on Facebook. Cheers

Dinner with a puppet show”

The clean fresh décor of Hotel Amazing was very welcome after the dusty smelly streets of Mandalay. The staff were very helpful and courteous and did everything they could to make our stay a pleasant one, and we appreciated them arranging well driven taxis for us. Breakfast was served in a very pleasant dining room and dinner with the puppet show in the courtyard was very enjoyable. being able to witness the comings and goings of the artists involved in the puppet show added to the entertainment! The set menu was a much better value deal than choosing the a la carte menu.

Amazing Mandalay”

Based on my personal experience,If you want to relax after making a great journey in Mandalay, I think Hotel Amazing Mandalay is one of the best choices. Because, it not only is located in the main street nearly Mandalay Palace and shopping center but also has comfortable accommodation. Moreover, all staff are friendly and helpful.

Excellent stay at Hotel Amazing. Staff were very helpful, rooms were huge and clean. Shower heads were very large and reliable supply of hot water. The hotel itself is very tastefully decorated and with only 16 rooms it has a lot of character compared to larger hotels in Mandalay. The spa/massage service is also excellent! I would definitely recommend this hotel to others, and suggest you book early to avoid disappointment.

Good value in central Mandalay”

Just having opened 3 months ago, the Hotel Amazing Mandalay was in great condition, still like new. The staff spoke very good English and were very helpful in arranging tours. There are only 16 rooms at the hotel and even though it's on a major road, it's very quiet.

Can be your choice?”

+ Location is near to train station and Mandalay Palace (walking distance). Only have 16 rooms and the room is with high ceiling so it looks spacious. Old building but look nice with adequate maintenance. Friendly and helpful staff. - Internet is quite slow. Breakfast is too simple (may be during my time, there were not so many guests). Take time for shower water to get warm. Air con compressors are located on top of one small building and they are quite noisy if you are on the second floor. It did not disturb me as my room is in the ground floor. TV is too small within the frame provided on the wall for design (esthetic point of view). Suggestion: Request the staff to spray the room for mosquitoes (they may do it already before your arrival but you may want to have the second one). I can still see one or two mosquitoes during night time but they don't disturb my sleep.

A small hotel with extraorinary value”

It was a good stay in Hotel Amazing Mandalay. THe room was big and comfortable. Wifi was good too. Although it was on the road side, it was very quiet at night.

Super value for money and comfy rooms”

For the price you pay, the hotel offers super value for money with great rooms including breakfast. The hotel is well located close to attractions and restaurants although you will still need to walk. The staff does not speak very good English and they were not able to help with recommendations or bookings of any sort of activities. Mandalay is hard to figure out by yourself and the area is strange at night so this is something they should look into for their guests. Or come very prepared!

Home away from home”

This was my second time stayed in this hotel. I like its coloniel style building which is different from other hotels. The room is very comfortable and clean. The location is great as it is closed to Mandalay Palace. Breakfast has few choices but complete with everything...rice, egg, milk and bread. I will definitely come back when I visit Mandalay.

Pretty Good ”

This hotel is new, has a decent sense of style and is working to get things right. Rooms are well-equipped although a bit cheap, bathrooms are clean and the room service Myanmar-style food is quite good. Overall, it was a great value, and one of the better options in Mandalay when you consider price.

A comfortable hotel in the center but close to not”

I had a room at the ground floor. The room is a bit dark but quite comfortable. The bed especially is very good. The room is nicely furnished. The hotel is in a central location but no main attraction is close to it and if you want to walk this means kilometers. Maybe it is the same everywhere in Mandalay?

At the end the Amazing was amazing”

Firs 2days I spend in my room, which was super decorated, huge, clean with window to a nice garden. These nights was not easy, there was a wedding and party, than bring earplugs or ask for a quiet room. The bathroom is average molded, as in all asian hotels, but an European kind cleaning would help. The breakfast nothing extra, but it is a buffet, than you will find something. When we coming back from our tour and want to eat something, the manager open for us a kitchen and let make for us a beautiful lunch. This treatment was unexpected. At first day we ask for a tour, and the price was reasonable... But because of illness we can't absolve it. Than use them to booking tours. I see the progress in the hotel with daily news, board games, buffet breakfast, but you need to clean the backyard, plant flowers and bamboo to not see what is outside. When you renovate, do it in European way, not in patches. Than your abroad turist will coming. Change back the ad-umbrella to tradicional.

Good for short stays”

Great place as the location is at the center of Mandalay. Breakfast is better than other hotels. They were renovating the time we booked, so the facilities was a bit old. Just be wary of the bar, as you will hear the live music until 10pm.

Little lovely paradise amidst the historic pagodas”

The hotel is a beautiful oasis and there is great love for detail. Tee bike rental but I advice to take e-bikes to go around the pagodas because distances are quite far and sandy. Great insider information by staff. The restaurant is nice but nothing out of the extraordinary. Food in town is just as good if not better and cheaper. The pool and lounge areas underneath the orchids and palm trees are a great place to chill and hide away from the vicious sun. The rooms are super spacious, great teak wool furniture etc, but better lighting would enhance the artisanal work even more. The staff are super friendly. Very reasonable priced for what it offers.

Lovely hotel, very central, good food and service”

Brand new hotel, very comfortable, large bed with very comfy mattress, spacious modern bathroom and nice decor. Food was especially good, try the Myanmar chicken curry and also the deep fried chicken basket - best deep fried chicken I've had! Very helpful staff, arranged a good value and comfortable car to drive us around and also an airport taxi - didnt seem to take commissions and increase prices like some places. Odd thing - cable tv shuts off at midnight, right in the middle of our movie! Night time reception doesn't speak much English so no chance of trying to turn it back on!

Highly recommendable”

A thoroughly enjoyable stay. The choice at the breakfast buffet is a bit more limited than at other Amazing hotels but the quality excellent. The packed breakfast for early risers a bit disappointing.
