Excellent staff and value for money”
Having heard that accommodation in Myanmar would be more expensive than the rest of South East Asia, my girlfriend and I chose Hotel Bond based on the price and did not expect much for our money. How wrong we were! We arrived from the airport in the afternoon and were immediately greeted with a welcome drink and a wet towel. The staff spoke English well and we were given a free map of Yangon. Our room was not ready when we arrived but we were allowed to sit in another area. The hotel staff also informed us as soon as they received a call from the airline about our lost luggage. The hotel is located to the West of downtown Yangon, within easy walking distance of Chinatown and 19th street which is a popular place to sample Yangon street food. The Sule Pagoda is within walking distance for those who want to brave the heat. The one downside of the hotel is the lack of a lift or elevator to take you up to your room. However, we had a friendly porter carry our bags up for us and even beat us up there waiting for us to climb the six sets of stairs. The staff also helped us arrange taxis and our onward bus tickets. Finally, the breakfast spread was good, with the fried noodles satisfying my hunger. However, like most places in Myanmar, the food is mostly pre-cooked and left out to go cold. Overall, this hotel was amazing value for money thanks to the helpful and friendly staff. The room is a good size and clean and the shared bathroom was not a problem.

Great room at a great price!”
As a budget to mid-range solo traveler, I wasn't that excited about my options in Yangon, as most properties are way overpriced for the quality. At the time I booked Hotel Bond, it barely had any online reviews, so I didn't know what to expect. Having stayed for three nights in late January, I can positively report what a steal it is right now to stay there! The facilities are modern and comfortable. The wifi is the strongest I experienced by far in Myanmar and was always strong in my room. I booked a room with an ensuite bathroom, and the shower was hot with great pressure. The breakfast buffet was great (have the mohinga!). The location is fantastic as well, as it is just a 10-minute walk away from Chinatown and 19th street. As others have mentioned online, there is no elevator, so it might be tough for some travelers walking up the steep stairs (I was on the 6th floor). Overall, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat, so book it while you can at its current price.

Amazing stay”
Wonderful place to stay in yangon. This hotel was located in a central part of the city and was convenient to get around by taxi. Rooms are very clean and bright, and shared common space / toilet was modern and clean. I was most impressed by the staff in the hotel, who were very attentive to my needs from the moment i stepped in. They provided chilled orange juice and wet tissue immediately when i accidentally spilled some of it on my bag. The breakfast in this hotel was the best that I have had in myanmar. It included a wide selection of noodles soup, toast, eggs, sausages etc. It was truly a spread that i looked forward to every morning! For the price, this place was definitely AMAZING and i would strong recommend it to anyone coming to yangon!

Great little hotel in downtown Yangon, great breakfast, location and Internet connection! ”
Reading the other reviews, we were perhaps luckier in that we had a room with big windows on the 4th floor, so not too many flights of stairs to walk up, with the benefit of the natural light. The room was very comfortable, super comfy bed, slippers and a bathrobe on offer, which I used to and from the shared bathroom. The shared bathroom wasn't a pain at all, a little mouldy (but seems a lot of buildings in Yangon suffer from mould/damp) but kept super clean so it really didn't bother us. There is plenty of free bottled water so you never run out, and the kettle in the room is always a massive bonus! We loved the breakfast as well, super good buffet with a good variety - I was happy to be able to try their famous mot hinger soup noodles for breakfast!! Super helpful, friendly staff, they made sure we never left the hotel without an umbrella, especially as my partner didn't have one during this super rainy season!! For those that are interested, good TV channels (we were craving watching some movies and some news in English after a month travelling in Myanmar) and a fantastic Internet connection - we had a router in our room and it worked like a dream. First time in Myanmar I was able to have a full online call without issues!

Love it!!”
We stayed here for a few nights and enjoyed the luxury of this hotel. Staff is super friendly, breakfast buffet is delecious and with lots of choice, the rooms are clean and have everything you need. The bathroom is only shared with two other rooms so that was no problem. Also, free bottles of water which was super nice in the heat of Yangon. We just loved Bond!

Just too good!”
I booked this place for a night thinking we just needed a "cheap" place to bunk in for our final night in Yangon after Bagan. This place really proved us wrong! The room was super good (looked like a posh hotel room) and even the sharing bathroom was too good. What we loved was also the buffet breakfast that they served - so many varieties and tasted perfect. We regretted not booking this place for our other nights in Yangon. Will truly recommend this place to any traveler - solo, couple of even family.

Clean, efficient and friendly”
Exploring Yangon may be a shock for some people as due to very different hygiene standards than in western countries and certain Asian countries like Japan, Singapore, South Korea but also ones like Malaysia and The Philippines. For this reason it was essential for me to have a spotless hotel with an extremely good buffet breakfast (mainly Asian in style but sausage, egg and toast also available) to be my number one priority after the adventures of exploring streets markets, pagodas, parks, street food etc. Nice place to stay, good location, friendly staff and cable TV. Room service very good if required and the room is fully equpiped e.g. hair dryers, bathrobes, fresh towels each day, complementary water etc. The only drawback is the lack of lift and shared bathrooms. However the bathrooms are only shared between 2-3 rooms and have all the mod cons.

Wonderful stay”
this hotel stay was extremely positive. from the moment i stepped in, the staff were extremely attentive to my needs and were very helpful. All of them understand English and can provide accurate and informative recommendations on food and places to visit. When I needed a taxi, one of the staff did not hesitate to walk me out to the main road and hailed a cab for me. This was so helpful as many of the taxi drivers did not understand English. The breakfast was exceptional! There was a marvelous variety, set in a clean and beautiful environment. It included noodles in soup, fruits, sausages etc. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Great value for money and strongly recommend all to stay here if they are in Yangon!!!

Fantastic stay - we loved this place!!”
We loved this place!! My husband and I stayed in Myanmar for one month and stayed at many good hotels/guest houses but The Bond Hotel was by far the best. The highlight for us was that they had placed some roses and rose pedals on our bed in the shape of a heart, as we had mentioned we were on our honeymoon! We'd never come across that before, it was so sweet! Other than that, the staff were so extremely helpful and amazingly kind, the room was lovely - brand new with great sheets and towels. Because everything was so new and clean it really didn't bother us at all to share bathroom - we actually never bumped into the other people on our floor so it still felt like we had the bathroom to ourselves. The staff also made us a packed breakfast on our last day as we had to catch an early bus. All in all our best hotel experience.

Worth spending days”
Good quality of all facilities and very special buffet breakfast comparing to the price. A room with no window was a bit stinky but it's understandable that the building is kinda blocked. No elevator in 8 floors building but I can see that it's common in Yangon. Staffs were actively with excellent service-minded. (Frequently worried by women, hair dryer is provided)

Pretty good!”
We had heard that hotels in Yangon are overpriced for the quality, but this place exceeded our low expectations. The room was small, but nice. The bathroom was shared with one other room, but was of standard hotel quality. The finishings overall were surprisingly pleasant for the price.

Hotel Bond : Affordable hotel in Downtown Yangon”
Located between 10h & 11th St in Downtown Yangon, this Hotel offers pretty good value for money : simple amenities, friendly and helpful staff, easy access to mini-mart and modern cafes at the nearby Junction Center mall, stroll along the night-marts along Strand Road. Its buffet breakfast is also commendable - good spread of rice - noodles - sausages, fried egg, and its national dish of fish-soup noodles plus bread and jam and cut-fruits. All in good value for money !

Hotel Bond is a great value for your money. The breakfast buffet was awesome each morning, free filtered water, cleanest shower we have had in Asia! Everything worked well, great internet connection. The rooms are small, but the super comfortable bed made up for it by far!

Lovely find”
We arrived early at 8 am off a night bus for a flash visit to Yangon. Staff were very accommodating even allowed us to have our breakfast the morning we arrived instead of the next morning (we were flying at 6 am) the location was central and the staff very helpful

Good choice in Yangon”
Near Chinatown and a short taxi ride/bus or walk to central Yangon, in quiet street, nice rooms, only downside is shared bathroom, but very clean, and good breakfast selection, helpful staff.

No Elevator 😔”
Our room is located at 7th floor, so tiring to get up and down, they should have come up even with a little service elevator to help out guests, esp the room is for family, what if we have an elderly man otr woman in the group? 😔 but overall the stay was good, room is soooooo clean, tv with cable is ❤️ and the internet is way too fascinating! Till next time Yangon! 🥰
