Excellent Service”

We arrived earlier than the check in time and the Manger on Duty Mr. Alfonso checked for an available room and he let us check in prior to 3pm. We loved everything about this hotel, the location, friendly staffs, cleanliness, food and all! I wonder there are haters who gives negative reviews about the attitude of the staffs in this hotel. There was one who said that the door greeter and the receprionist did not greet them so he raged negative comments already. Next time why don't you try to be nice, if they did not greet you, then take the initiative to greet them and put a smile on other peoples face. Everything will work together for good for those who are KIND and PATIENT. Even the housekeeping, they tend to greet us everytime we see them. Maybe there is something wrong with your attitude too that is why. Haters really going to hate. 😂 Anyway, this hotel is one of the best Hotels in Orchard. Very convenient, near 2 bus stops. Near the 2 MRT Stationd. Excellent stay for us. Thank you Hotel Chancellor.

Perfect location and Neat hotel”

We stayed for 3 nights here. The location is very nice. Its 5mins walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station near Plaza Singapora. It has 7-11 shops available near by so u can get your break fast/snack anytime while on your way out or back to hotel. It has a neat swimming pool on roof top accessible by lift 1 only with an outstanding view of the vicinity. Recommend a panoramic photo from there. Hotel has two entrances, the other one opens towards the main Orchard Road, where you can find a number of malls like Orchard Point, Orchard Central, Ngee Ann city center, 313 Somerset, Apple Store. This road has multiple bus stops. Get yourself a 3-days Singapore Tourist Pass for unlimited trips to MRT & Public busses. Both have a/c so thats a relieve in 35C temp during the day. The hotel has a Tour Desk where as i suggest using Klook app to book at activities ranging from Universal Studio, Sentosa fun pass, Zoo, Night Safari, Gardens by the bay, bird sanctuary etc. This way you will not need to stand in ticket lines. Just book and show the online receipt to the gate keepers who will let you in :) do visit asian museum on Raffles stop, Fullerton road for Merlion. Good quality shopping is available at Bugis Junction (Bugis stop via MRT and exit towards Bugis Junction). Do not goto Little India, its very dirty and a mall there with the name of Al Mustafa Center (although cheap) but has terrible / poor quality products. You will be disappointed. Visit East Coast bay near Marina bays for a quite beach spot. Good for camping. On your way out to Airport, book a taxi via Grab Ap and it will cost you a max of $17 SGD till terminal 4 airport. Upon arrival, get a $15 SGD sim from Klook app It will give you 100GB worth 4G internet And free calls to last you easily 8-10 days even. Pick up point at Cheers store on level 2. Use mini bus to reach your hotel. It will cost you $SGD 9 per person with a travel time of 25-30mins. Booking stand is location at last level. They charge credit card and d

Great location”

Hotel Chancellor is a nice and well located hotel. Orchard Road and its shopping treats are right around the corner and the Dhoby Ghaut MRT stop is a short walk away. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was a bit small, but was sufficient for our sleeping needs (we were out most of the day). Breakfast was average- nothing remarkable but provided enough to get our day going. Lots of big tour groups were staying at the hotel during our time there. The only issues that caused were an incredibly crowded lobby at times and some waiting for an elevator. Our room was quiet and not affected by those groups. Overall, it was a good stay. I would stay there again.

Convenient location”

Second time staying at the Chancellor.. ideal location right in the heart of Orchard flanked by 2 MRT stations within walking distance. Hotel staff were professional n efficient. Was given a quiet room as requested - basic amenities, very clean. Apart from the erratic temperature of the hot shower, there is not much to complain about. Will definitely choose this hotel when i return to Singapore.

Good Price for Good Location”

Stayed at Hotel Chancellor@Orchard during F1 weekend. Surprisingly, affordable prices for the location. It is a short walk to Orchard Gateway, Somerset 313 etc and has a food area opened during the evening. highly recommended.

Good hotel on a budget”

I brought my wife and 2 kids to Singapore for a vacation so we were on a tight budget. Hotel Chancellor exceeded our expectations as the facilities were very good. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was as advertised and was comfortable. The hotel's location was very near malls and bus and MRT stations so it wasn't difficult for us to go around. I will definitely stay here again in my future trips to Singapore.

One of the best in Orchard (Budget)”

Hotel Chancellor: Great hotel. Very convenient as the hotel is close to Orchard road. There are restaurants and Money exchange providers close by. The room is very clean and cosy. However, we had to carry our own luggages to the room as there was only one staff on duty at the time we checked-in.

Room - big room, very clean, fresh scent, clean linens and sheets, comfy bed, a/c worked well, quiet Bathroom - clean, good shower head Hotel staff - very friendly, accommodating, polite, and helpful; prompt service, special shoutout to Aida at front desk. Automatic drinking water device in the room for hot and cold water, small fridge, a safe for valuables. Room is cleaned once or twice a day, toiletries and coffee/tea replenished daily. Convenience store in lobby. Location: very central. 7 min walk to Dhoby Ghaut MRT or 5 min walk to Sommerset MRT, where you can ride to anywhere (Chinatown 5 min ride; Marina Bay 15 min ride). Bus stop 2 min walk (in front of Concorde hotel). Hawkers across the road (yummy soup!). Near a small mall with money changers. One bus ride away from malls in Orchard like ION, Lucky Plaza, Paragon. Cons: NONE! yes, lobby sometimes slightly crowded cus lots of tour groups coming in, but that only means biz is going well cus they're doing a great job.

Reasonable Price, Good Value”

Near Orchard road , Somerset MRT. bus . It hard to find Hotel at this price near Orchard. Noise come from Night Club . Noise come from water heater machine (I just unplug it to Kill the noise) . Lighting system & Decor at Hall way, lobby bored me . Look like old Hotel. The best : Comfortable Room , very Good Location , Good Price

Worth your money!!!”

We stayed at their triple deluxe room and I must say that it's the most reasonably priced hotel in the Orchard area. It's near the bus stop and it's also near the shopping area. The hotel is very fragrant! I loved its smell. It's not just in the lobby but everywhere. The only downside I can say is that they don't give bottled drinking water but however, they have a water machine that provides hot and cold water. In conclusion, we enjoyed our stay and it was worth our money.

Great value for money with best location”

For a family with small children, I was very pleased with our choice to book Hotel Chancellor. It was also easy to check in and check out of the hotel. The staff was very accommodating especially we came in very late/early 245am. Would book this hotel again and recommend to family and friends

Little nice hotel”

Hotel is nice, not too luxury but serve the purpose. Hotel room is not too big but enough, and it's clean. Location wise, it's very near to food access and shopping area (Orchard), everything is within walking distance to find food and all daily need during travel. Also not very far from point of interests in Singapore.

Great location”

This is no MBS or Fullerton, but it is perfectly situated off Orchard Road between Somerset and Dhoby Ghaut MRT stations, and it is affordable. I’ve stayed her twice and will stay again on my next trip. It is a no-frills hotel, yet my room on the 8th floor had a great view of the city towards Marina Bay Sands. The rooftop pool is fantastic and very relaxing after a day out and about. I booked a room with breakfast on my first stay, but skipped it on my second visit. It’s dreadful. But you are metres away from wonderful eateries, so it is no loss. If you’re a family on a budget, the Hotel Chancellor@Orchard will meet your needs. But if you want all the bells and whistles and luxuries, Singapore offers many other choices.

Family holiday at Chancellor”

Staff were excellent at answering any questions and assistance with directions and taxis. Location was excellent. Short stroll to Somerset MRT station and on the shopping strip Orchard St. Great little eating places out the front on the street (must try the pineapple rice!) We had two rooms on the 10th floor. Rooms are adequate in size. Liked the way they reduce environmental impact with water system and shower supplies. Internet was ok. TV was limited (but you are not there to watch tv :) ) Pool was cool and refreshing (deck could use a redo) Breakfast was ok but compared to previous hotels was limited.

Good basic accommodation in the heart of Orchard Rd”

Good, basic, accommodation in a central location, just opposite the Somerset MRT station within walking distance to all the top shopping malls along Orchard Road. If you want a clean hotel with decent sized rooms at a good value price (compared to many other hotels around the vicinity), this is a good choice. Although it has only very basic facilities, both in the hotel and in the rooms, it has one unique facility that many hotels don't offer - free, unlimited supply of drinking water through a water filter machine in the rooms - a very good idea to minimise cost and an environmentally friendly feature, less use of plastic bottles.

Heart of it all”

I like hotels that sit snug on all transport veins. Chancellor has this in spades. MRT, Bus and Taxi... they all pass right at the doorstep. Awesome for business travellers who need to go places without a moment's delay. Tip: there's a great mall 10 minutes walk away with top notch ramen

Pleasantly surprised ”

Didn’t expect a great deal as Singapore can be expensive and at this price we were very happy. Room was a workable size for 3 and clean. Great location for Orchard road shopping.Only disappointment was breakfast.. not a lot of choice and overcrowded. Overall a nice 3 day stay.
