Pros: Superb location, I came out from Kyoto metro station towards Kyoto tower direction, straightaway saw it on the left hand side of Kyoto tower. Very clean and nicely decorated with quality amenities hotel room. I stayed in the single non smoking room but the room was provided with a queen size bed that can fit two adults (Of course I don’t mean oversized adults). It’s spacious enough to have a small single sofa, small round table and a stool inside the room. Definitely more spacious than most Kyoto hotel room. Nearby there’re numerous nice food stalls or restaurants. Transport wise is definitely a big plus as there are many buses going to tourist attractions. Kyoto metro station is right in front of the hotel. Hotel lobby is at level 2. Level 1 has a nice cafe provided good coffee. Didn’t have chance to eat the breakfast but should be good since the coffee smells good. I will definitely come back again if I come to Kyoto! Cons: no.

Absolutely value for money+comfort+location”
The hotel is conveniently located right next to Kyoto tower (2min walking distance, just beside) and is near a food hall that opens till 11pm (great for late travellers who wants to grab a quick dinner). There are a lot of shopping and dining options nearby for those who wants to explore. 7-11 is just round the corner at the back, Yodabashi is also just behind the hotel. Service at the reception was great and check-in was completed really fast. They even provided additional complimentary amentities at the reception area for ladies only. Room was cleaned really well, bed was extremely comfortable and aircon was great - in good working condition. The toilet was also really clean. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would love to stay here again! :)

Dear hokke club Kyoto and all the staff, thank you for the great hospitality. You are so kind and thoughtful. As a solo traveler, in small but clean and well equipped room is what I ask for. Everything in the room is in good condition and easy to use. The location is just unbeatable. It’s got all the transportation to all the attractions, eateries, supermarkets, shopping. It’s also a transportation hub if you wish to travel out of Kyoto to other cities. If I were to go to Kyoto again, I will stay here again.

Perfect location!”
It's literally just across Kyoto Station. It was raining when we arrived in Kyoto, but there's an underground walkway so we didn't get wet. Like many hotels in Japan, they also provided free rental of umbrellas. There are free beauty/relaxation goodies at the lobby for ladies to try. I recommend the lavender bath salts to ease away tiredness at the end of the day, it also helped me sleep. The room size was adequate for us and was cleaned everyday. The staff spoke good English and very pleasant to deal with. All in all, 5* !!

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and I enjoyed it very much! Checked-in quite late at 12.30am,because of travel time by flight and train, but the staff still attended to me with such wonderful service and attitude. Staffs will greet you once you got out of the elevator in the lobby. Very clean and cozy hotel. Walking distance to Kyoto station and the building is the same row as Kyoto Tower. I love my stays here and would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Kyoto.

Kyoto station neighbour ”
First, you walk less than 100 meters to arrive the station just right opposite the Kyoto main station. And you take most of the buses to arrive back here to arrive the stop right in front the entrance of hotel ! Secondly, luggage deposit service is available for free, all the ladies is allow to get complimentary item, which is choose one among the comestic items like aroma soap, jacuzzi aroma ball, masks and my wife took 2 masks, it perfected you stay. Thirdly, the hotel have everything you need include en-suite, washing services, vending machine, the cafe and restaurant just located downstairs. Next hotel will be the best option and I will definitely book this hotel for rest of my kyoto trips!

Hotel is right across the road from the JR station and bus station. You can catch the bus to visit a lot of places of interest. The room was small (we had just come from a spacious room in Osaka!) but it was clean and had hot water! We also made use of the luggage forwarding service (from Kyoto to Tokyo), the staff was very helpful with that.

This location is right beside the Kyoto tower and across from the train / bus station. The staff is friendly and the room is clean with pajamas and amenities to make you feel at home. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Coffee shop is located in the first floor. Excellent value!

Great location, clean and friendly staff”
This is my third time staying at Hokke Club. The location is so convenient and the restaurant on the 1st floor offers a good Japanese breakfast. It's also right above the Porta restaurant row and in front of Yodobashi camera shop and Global supermarket. Close to all the trains and buses. I will stay here again.

The location of the hotel was great, it was just beside Kyoto Tower, and in front of Kyoto station. It is very easy to find. Very clean and the staff were very kind. There are lots of restaurants and convenience stores around too!

Nice, friendly and helpful staff (gifts were offered to every female clients when checking -in) Rooms were clean, decent and comfortable. With reasonable price. Not to mention the Kyoto station just across the road. Excellent location. Brilliant experience for 2 nights.

The location of hotel is just opposite of Kyoto Station. It is very easy to find and reach this hotel (just crossing the street out from Kyoto Station). The lobby is at 2nd floor. The staffs are very polite and helpful. What I love the most is the lobby provide a reading corner with many books about Kyoto and some novels too. I get to eat the nice food that introduce from the books. Thank you for having this corner. I had a great stay for the 2 nights in room too.

The Overall Review”
The staff were very nice and accommodating. The room is small yet very clean and presentable. However, when i was sleeping my partner woke up and screamed. He saw an old man with brown military uniform standing beside me. I don't know if you believe in ghost but I do. Anyways, the money was really worth it.

Great location, very near to Kyoto Station and to different types of stores. Challenge is how to locate the hotel and navigating the train station. Hotel reception staff were amazing and with great customer service. Hats off! Room was very clean as well. Will definitely go back on the future.

A nice choice for Kyoto trip”
The hotel is close to the Kyoto station. It takes you around 3-5 minutes of walking. The staffs are friendly, the room is clean, and the price is very reasonable for a couple. I do recommend this hotel when you visit Kyoto.

Just across Kyoto train station, everything you need to around Kyoto and city nearby, i.e. Nagoya, Osaka or Kobe. Typical small room in Japan hotel, it is clean and well-maintained. Upon check-in, you can choose 2 items for free in the receptionist, sweet gesture :)

Right across the road from the Station and Bus dept. Perfect for getting to all the sightseeing destinations around Kyoto. The only thing l would do next time is book a bigger room the small double room was small,quite small. Nice little cafe downstairs for breakfast before heading out for the day. Very friendly staff greeted you every morning when leaving the Hotel. Would definitely stay there again and reasonably priced for city centre. Suzanne from Australia

I love the coffee smell of the entrance (mostly because of the coffee shop on the 1F). The staff is super nice and good at English. The room is bigger than I expected and they got a lot of gift for you to choose (hair band, face mask...) The location is also a strong point, just opposite of kyoto station and I can find it just by one glance. Really recommended this hotel for those visit kyoto
