CLEAN AND BIG TWIN BEDS”

We stayed for 2 days due to short trip at Johor Jaya, the room is small but just nice for 2 queen beds. Room condition is clean and aircond is working well, but wifi is damn weak. Bathroom is very tight but is alright to get shower. This place is suitable for business travelers.

Value for money”

The hotel was located at Johor jaya and easy access to town. Great value for a double bedroom, will definitely recommend to other friend.

Way Beyond Expectation ”

Everything is great. So far, this is definitely the best hotel in this area. The staffs are super nice, very polite and professional. The room is even better. I am staying in the Superior King Room. I usually don't book a bed that is so big since I am by myself but Agoda gave me a pretty good deal for it. When I first walked in to the room, I was surprised as how big the room is. Everything was clean and organized. The room does seem a little bit old, probably need a little more dusting but nothing major. The toilet was good, I especially loved the rain shower (the last hotel I was at had rain shower as well but the water pressure was bad). Everything else like the TV and the aircond is working well. The only complain I have is probably the lighting, I love the orange lighting, gives the room a warm feeling but they should have more bright lights installed (doing make up in this room especially at night is almost impossible). The wifi is pretty bad, but it is most probably because my room is so far at the end. But the free flow of water, hot drinks and tidbits definitely make up for it. I will probably extend more nights here. Everything is going great so far.

Best hotel in Johor Jaya ”

There’s a mini snacks area at the lobby which provides free biscuits and coffees for the guests to feel welcomed at the hotel, a great stay in you’re in Johor Jaya but it’s far from city centre. Bed was comfy :)

Money value”

The bed is really hard, I didn't get a good sleep cause it cause my back aching and the hotel management forgot to put the "alas kaki" in front of the toilet. Need to ask from receptionist for it. The room also smells like cigarettes even i asked for non-smoking room. Luckily the room is clean but bit small

The room and Friendly staff”

They are renovating in progress. The previously hotel is 1 star hotel, i guess the hotel wanna upgrade to 3 star. the corridor is narrow, and room design look unique(basin outside the bathroom). The room feel dusty, but the staff is friendly.

Worth the money!”

I paid SGD31 for a one night stay in the room with a king bed. Surprisingly, the room was carpeted. Toiletries provided. Complimentary coffee & tea. Hot water flask. In-room safe. Room was clean and comfortable. Air-con was cold. Water heater working well. Flat screen TV. Carpark in from of the hotel. But surrounding is really quiet at night. I don't see any shops around. Good for a sleepover.

Check in late and check out early in the morning, not much to comment but this hotel is clean and quiet.

Okay”

During check in, the reception asked politely if we can changed the room for 4 to two rooms for 2, because of overbooked on that day. We chose not to and we got a "new" room. The new room was actually new, however the so called room for 4 was more like one king bed with an extra king bed. Somemore the extra king bed was without bed frame and there was not much space to move around. But for the price we paid and the fact we were staying for 1 night only, we decided not to complain about it. A king bed on the floor made me wonder if I actually got the deluxe family room or just a modified room.

For the price, room is OK, clean & comfortable. Staffs are friendly. Easy to find a food, close to the main road & highway. Lot of parking space in front of hotel. Will book this hotel again.

Lift got no sensor”

Lift is very old and got no sensor, old people entered the lift slow and it didnt detect someone was halfway through the lift and it clamped my parent on the face very hard before bouncing back to open... my mom suffered bruise on her cheeks.... the corridor and carpets very old and a corner was filled with big mattresses on our way to the room... Room and toilet is very clean, okay to stay for a promo/ budget rate, overall is still not bad, got a nice chinese restaurant just at the blk beside this hotel , good that wifi is strong also

Poor service”

I will not go to this hotel because the service is very bad. 1. Took a long time to check in because the counter staff could not find my confirmation of the date change, despite providing me handing over a copy of the booking confirmation from Agodas. She had to key in the info & do not want to provide wifi password until she complete her work. Even when the supervisor came to the counter, she just could not care less to help out. 2. The room smell & the TV was not working. I opened the window which face another room 5 - 6 feet away. As the maintenance guy also could not turn on the TV, I went down to the Reception to request for a change of room but was told that the TV is working. On returning to the room, my partner complained that she was bitten by mosquitoes. 3. Upon check-out, I asked for the return of a bottle of Apple Cider which I had handed to a counter staff the day before to put in the hotel fridge with difficulty. The supervisor again could not care less.

Facilities were old, some are maintained some aren't. Typically dislike the room window concept, although were covered by an old blind, but there was still gaps on left right, with the glass wasn't privacy-tinted (I think), but was able to see through opposite room from our room's glass window! Management really needs to look into it! Excellent rain shower. Comfy bed&pillow. Good service by providing cuckoo water dispenser at room floor, also little good service of nescafe machine & biscuits/bread for guests at lobby. Overall clean room. Staff was friendly, but checkin/out process was quite slow.

Old hotel renamed”

This facility is previously called vista 88 boutique hotel and the new owner changed the name to hotel holmes. Basically it is an old hotel with a new name and it is not a new hotel that we read from the internet. It's a budget 1 star hotel. Wifi connection is poor.

Overall is good and its value for money, however even I stay at smoke free zone, but the room still have the aroma.

Good for short staying. The hotel is a bit old but still can consider clean. The price is acceptable. Have to pay own parking tickets as hotel does not provide parking facilities.

Comfortable ”

Reception girl Emma is courteous and frenly. Cleaned room.. Excellent air-con. Comfortable bed. But toilet is tooo small n narrow for big size people like us. 😅😅😅
