Perfect Yokohama stay before and/or after cruise.”

We were booked on a cruise from the Osanbashi cruise terminal in Yokohama and this hotel is only about 600 meters (10 minutes walk) away. Very convenient. The hotel is a "traveller" type hotel but is quite roomy, clean and inviting and the staff were fantastic and very helpful (in English no less). Value was excelent and we would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends. Anyone cruising out of Yokohama should check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Great experience”

In a nutshell, great place at a good price for families. The staff were very hospitable to our kids, and our kids got a kid friendly breakfast. One of my daughters said the egg omelet was a bit sweet for her. The breakfast was filling. The location was great between the Aka Renga and the Kannai station. We'll be back!

Nice location and neat clean room”

The location of the hotel is great, in the center of the city and close to the subway station. Receptionists speak fluent English, there's no need to worry about communication. Except for the size is too small (however it's very common in Japan) everything is wonderful.

Preparing for cruise”

The Hotel JAL City is in a great location. For anyone interested in exploring Yokohama before a cruise from this city, the port is very close. Yokohama Chinatown, the largest In Japan, is a few blocks away. And 'Motomachi' shopping area is not far beyond that. The JAL Hotel is probably 3-star rated, but I would not hesitate in returning to it. The staff very pleasant, but like much of Japan, English is limited. But the Japanese people Are delightful and receive a full 5-star review for politeness. Our room could have been a bit larger, but twin double beds very comfortable. A mini Refrigerator included and a room safe also.

Cozy hotel in a convenient location ”

Staff is friendly and helpful but not everyone speaks or understands English. Breakfast spread was good with wide choice of food items. The room is clean but very small with hardly any space for my luggage or for moving around. The location is great as it is near the subway station and within walking distance from Chinatown. The one day pass (JPY 600?) for unlimited rides on the bus to take you on your sightseeing trips is good value for money and is available at this hotel.

Room Smell”

The room smell like cigarette if you opened the air purifier. Not recommended to open the air purifier. Overall it's spacious and comfortable for a Japanese hotel.
