In the middle of Downtown”

I had a 4 weeks business stay in Yangon and Hotel K Yangon was a perfect stay. Quiet room on the 11th floor with beautiful view over downtown (back view). Clean room with good standard features. Absolute friendly, accommodating and quick professionel service. During the whole 4 weeks I had no problems and very good service. A good trained staff at the reception can solve every daily 'problem' and is helpful in any situation. This hotel is recommended to everyone who wants to be in the middle of downtown, near the central heritage buildings and the lively environment of Yangon with very good and comfortable rooms and service and with affordable prices.

Great location, clean hotel, kind staff”

Overall, our stay at Hotel K in Yangon was fantastic. The hotel is located in great location, just a 5 minute walk from Sule Pagoda in the downtown area - and it's easy to catch a taxi to other parts of the city right out front of the hotel. The rooms was extremely clean, cold AC, and I was also happy with the safe deposit box. The only thing I would recommend, is booking one of the balcony / window rooms. The non-window rooms are still very nice, but it's so much better to have a view to the outside world. Great stay, nice hotel in Yangon.

Great location, food and price!”

Hotel K is ideally located in central Yangon, the room is fabulous, the staff is excellent, the free breakfast is great and the price is very reasonable. I recommend without hesitation.

good modern and clean hotel”

The hotel is located in the south of Yangon, in a good central location to visit temples and have a few drinks. The room was brand new and well furnished with a confy bed, a nice tv with lots of channels but not many in English, and air con. The AC unit was directly facing the bed and resulted in a lot of switch on/off during the night. The bathroom was small but functional and clean, the shower is wet room style. All the amenities were there, shampoo etc, even combs and shower flip flops. Not a lot of choice for breakfast but food was good and filling. I cannot comment on evening dinner as we didn't eat there. I would choose this hotel again if I'm back in Rangoon.

Basic but good value”

I think the hotel had just recently opened because it felt like no one quite knew what there jobs were! We were checked in and shown to our room with no information at all about where and when breakfast was served. Neither were we given any guidance as to what sights might be worth visiting and how best to get there. It might be useful if they could offer guests a map which shows the hotels location with regard to popular tourist sights.The rooms were comfortable but the bathrooms were basic. The breakfast was good but we had to ask for a knife and fork! I think with a little practise the hotel could become a good value base for those visiting Yangon When asked, the staff were very helpful and eager to please. They arranged travel tickets for us. We would go back and hope it was a little more organised.

Great performance for a hotel in its first month”

Good: Perfect location in downtown Yangon. Staff were super friendly, informative and with great English. Great value for money. Hotel had just opened days before so there is some room for improvement: No internet despite advertising free wifi. Their explanation was understandable that they were waiting on the govt to connect them, but really they should update their post. Hope they can resolve this soon. No fire escape signage which is a bit of a safety worry for a 12 storey building with a confusing interior.

The Best Hotel I have stayed at”

My favorite hotel when I come to Yangon. The rooms are decent. Hot water with excellent water pressure. The beds are comfortable. The staff is awesome. The location couldn't;'t be better. BREAKFAST IS AMAZING! A buffet that is always ready and on time, with an adorable kitchen staff. All around amazing!!! I have stayed here several times.

Good location and very helpful staff”

I enjoyed the stay at Hotel K, the room was very large, clean and ultra comfortable. Hotel is in a perfect downtown location for restaurants and site seeing. Breakfast was very good and service generally excellent (apart from breakfast were all staff apart from one stood watching TV!). Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend to all.

especially good for business”

Located downtown, on commercial boulevard, hotel is large size. With big restaurant, large meeting area on 2nd floor, this is especially good choice for business stay. Limited food options nearby, but their restaurant is ok for lunch and dinner. For tourist, nothing really appealing to stay here. Three rooms types: cheaper with no windows, street-side with views, or in back of building. Prices vary from $60-80 with $10 more for two or if you bring a visitor. Breakfast Asian, barely varies, but palatable, though coffee in undrinkable and tea is Lipton yellow label. Bathroom no tub or shower, just open. Expensive rooms are good-sized, but low ceiling. Internet was good, tv a few channels, some foreign. Decor is chinese in common areas, rooms not over-stuffed, spare and nice and simple, comfortable bed.

Good but not perfect”

Price was fair for Yangon and location good but there were issues with the technique: strong technical noises in my room, erratic behaviour of the ubiquitous power box (not only in Hotel K). Not a real problem for a short stay.

Good value in over priced yangon”

This is a new establishment in Yangon and compared to older established hotels, it is good value for the money. As it is new, the sheets and towels are still white and not wearing thin. The bathroom is of the wet room style but they do provide flip flops and the floor dries quite quickly. The only down point is the breakfast, don't expect anything western but they will fry you a couple of eggs but hey when in south East Asia !! The staff are absolutely charming and nothing is too much trouble for them.

This clean, quiet hotel is in an excellent location for anything in downtown Yangon.

Great location, quiet room”

One thing we absolutely loved about Hotel K - location! We had a superior room with windows which was nice and spacious, with a nice comfortable bed, but the bathroom could do with a renovation and a good clean (there were a couple of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and the shower curtain was mouldy). The breakfast was ok overall, there was some variety for the Asian dishes (that we found quite oily in general), but the same European stuff every single day - as we stayed for 6 nights it got a bit boring. However, given the lack of decent budget accommodation in central Yangon, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

It is a recommended hotel for anyone to go Yangon. One small flaw, we were at 11th floor, the water pressure is a bit low.

Staff is very accommodating, the room is spacious, peaceful and very clean. Its walking on the business district and heritage spots of yangon

Good, downtown location”

Good location, downtown, in easy reach of all of the main attractions. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is fine, food otherwise is acceptable. Basic and no frills, but all you really want or need. I will stay there again, at the end of my trip, when I get back to Yangon and fly home.

Excellent staff, and location!”

The location is prime! So much to do and see around the hotel and the major sites like Shwedagon Pagoda is only 15min away by car. The staff was incredibly kind and I welcoming which you don't see always in an affordable accommodation like Hotel K. I highly recommend staying here!

Helpful”

Thanks Hotel K for going above and beyond to ensure my stay was a positive one. During my trip, I got a rough bout of food poisoning but the staff were kind enough to drive me to the local hospital, arrange medicine and ensure I was up and running again. I would suggest trying to book a room with a window as mine was enclosed and it tended to get a little stuffy. Otherwise, the location is ideal and most taxi drivers know exactly where Hotel K is! I'll definitely be coming back to this hotel for my future visits to Hotel K.
