Regular Osaka traveller”

New Hankyu is one of my regular stops. My choice of hotel often changes depending on company and what is available. Often I stay at New Hankyu. I got a smoking room due to availability. I was coughing and my eyes were teary when I entered the room. Unfortunately I was unable to switch to a non smoking room. When I left the room my clothes smelled like a chimney. Sleeping in the smoking room was very difficult for me. I dealt with it due to having to do a number of things in Umeda at the time. So I stayed in New Hankyu for the 2 nights. For the price it was not bad. Everything else in New Hankyu was awesome. There had been a miscommunication of parking. It was remedied after talking to another staff member. My overall stay at New Hankyu was good. Next time, I won't stay in a smoking room.

Exceptional”

Hotel New Hankyu Osaka is conveniently located in Umeda area. It has a direct airport limousine bus that serves from Kansai Airport . We booked a connecting room for my two older children and parents . Rooms and toilets are very clean , though there isn’t enough space for us to put our luggages, we do fine with it. The best thing of this hotel is the location . JR train, Hankyu train and subways are within walking distance . Also not to forget that the hotel service staffs are very professionally trained . My family and I had a very pleasant stay in this hotel . Thank you !

My stay in Hotel New Hankyu”

The hotel is across the umeda airport limousine station so very convenient for airport drop-off and pick-up. It is adjacent to subway station for midosuji, hankyu and JR lines making means of transportation convenient. It is surrounded by shopping malls and restaurants. Staff at front desk are very courteous, can understand and speak English and helpful. Rooms are very clean and bigger than usual compared with other hotels in Osaka. They have repacking / weighing room in the lobby which is very useful and convenient after last minute shopping. The only downside in this hotel room is that you can hear the sound of trains leaving the umeda station. Sound is tolerable and not irritating though.

Excellent location”

Hotel New Hankyu Osaka very close to Umeda station and Osaka station. Just need to walking distance with subway underground. Surrounding by a lots of shopping mall (Lucia and yodobashi umeda shopping mall). I find very convenience to find food, shopping with my group of family. The most important is the airport limousine bus just exactly at the back door of the hotel, I don't have to walk cross over the street. It is very important for me such a big family members with a lots of luggage, bus will straight to airport, it is connecting between hotel and airport route. I also find out not many airport limousine bus have early morning service, but this one operate start from 3am until 11pm! It just good for those have early morning flight. The room i have is family connecting room (4 bed and 2 bed for 2 room). The room space quite small compare with usual hotel room but I still find comfortable. (9 luggage we had in our room) Overall i am happy, I definitely will come here again.

best location ever”

location location location! walking from hankyu umeda st, surrounded by railway station, beside hotel there's a drugstore 24hrs, there's a convinient store about 50m from hotel, the staff was very helpfull they really know the hotel surroundings, there's a limosine bus st to the airport in the south enterance of the hotel, there's atm and money changer inside hotel, everything was easy, big shopping centre right accross the hotel! the room was small as i expected, but i put 1 big bagpack, and 1 medium bag inside my room, and its ok for me, i still can move. amenities was good everything i need was already there including bathrobe which i usually wear for sleeping, so no need to bring pijamas! i'm having a great time in Osaka

Lovely hotel, great location in Osaka centrum”

family-friendly yes, but i was as a solo traveler. hotel new hankyu is in the centrum of osaka, close to the communications hub, and seweral supermarkets. no quoted material from other sources, no material published elsewhere, including other travel review sites. this is qute different then in tokyo or in other places. i stronly recommend this hotel to travelers and their decision to stay at this property, very easy accer to kansai airport in price should be included also breakfest.

Highly Recommended”

This is a hotel with excellent transportation which is just next to JR, Subway and Hankyu Railway. Breakfast is good with various varieties and tastes good! Yet, room is small and hardly for me to open luggage. But, it is still okay. Toilet is clean with good shower. It equips with shampoo, body soap, toothbrush, comb, one-off towel and hair-dryer. Although the decoration is a bit out-dated, it is a very good hotel which I highly recommended for travellers who can take any transport to any where within Osaka and outside Osaka. If you need to go from hotel to Tyoto, you can just take JR and it just needs about half an hour or a little bit more. It is also easy to take JR to USJ from hotel. Price of the room is reasonable. There is bus between airport (1550 YEN) and hotel and it just needs to take about an hour! Very convinent!!!

The most convenient hotel”

Pros - Very good location , it's located between Osaka and Umeda station. If you go down to underground you can access to one of these station. Ideal place if you are going to Kobe and Kyoto. As we had low expectation of the quality of the room. It surprised us that the room with just shower no bathtub is newly renovated. It's new and clean with everything needed. If you get the room with bathtubs is not yet renovated. There is Limousine bus connecting to Kansai and Osaka Airport for 1550 yen one way, highly recommended to take the bus not the train as it is comfortable and organized which takes 55 mins door to door. There are lots of restaurants and department stores around, the price of the food can be cheap and delicious. They were the cheapest among that area. Cons - No air conditioning. Luckily it was in winter, we asked them to open the window for us and it was fine with us. They only help you to make reservation for their own restaurants.

Pleasant stay with great location”

My husband and I stayed in New Hankyu hotel Osaka for 6 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel provided complimentary items for ladies only based on number of nights stay so I get to select from cleaning oil to eyes mask or herbs pad, what a pleasant surprise. The room wasn't big as expected but it's spacious enough to put our 2 big luggage and a cabin bag. I really like the toiletries provided especially Shiseido facial foam which I wanted to purchase from the hotel unfortunately not available for sale. The breakfast spread has wide varieties from Japanese to Western cuisine which we enjoyed during our stay but the chef doesn't change the dishes so by the 4th day we were a bit bored with the breakfast selection since it's the same everyday. Hotel location was strategic since the airport limo bus from Kansai airport stops right in front of our hotel and Midosuji subway also right outside of the hotel plus Osaka Station in just 5 mins walk away, very convenient indeed. Overall we're satisfied with our stay and will definitely come back again when we visit Osaka in future.

Value for money hotel with good location ”

The New Hankyu is very conveniently located near the Osaka JR station, which is about 10 min walk away. From the Kansai airport, you can take an airport limousine bus and alight right at the entrance of the hotel. Check in time is from 3pm and the friendly staff will help to keep your luggage at the cloak room if you arrived too early. There are many restaurants and shopping area near the hotel so it is not difficult to things to do while waiting for the room to be ready. The single room is not big but is clean and has all the essential amenities. There are two complimentary bottled waters and also English Channel on the television which is good for a business traveller.

Wonderful Summer Vacation”

I stayed at this hotel for 6 days with my teenager children.. First of all, the location was absolutely superb. The airport bus stopped at the hotel's doorstep, which was very convenient. For sight-seeing, the Umeda station can be directly reached via hotel's lower ground coridor. We tried dinner buffet but the food was just ok, lots of variety but the quality so so. There were multiple restaurants on premise but there are much more variaty in restaurants right the next building with much more competitive price, so no shortage in options. The general interior and decoration are dated however well-kept. I upgraded the room to executive level of which had much more attractive decoration and floorplan. The upgrade cost was very reasonable. I would recommend it. We enjoyed Osaka very much and the choice of hotel contributed to it very much.

Excellent location as what had reviewed by all the customers. Easy access to public transports, walking distance to subway (Umeda) and Osaka station for JR. Airport shuttle bus service to terminal 1 and 2 (every 15 mins) available just outside of the hotel at 1550 yen for adults. Many eateries, and shopping malls surrounding this hotel. Room is slightly small but I am fine with it. Hotel staff can speak English, very helpful and attentive.

We were very happy with our decision to stay in Hotel New Hankyu Osaka. It is very accessible from the airport (first stop in the Airport Limousine service), close the a number of stations (Osaka Station, subway, etc) and right in front of two malls. The room is pretty small but since we were out most of the time, we didn't mind. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those who are staying in Osaka.

Super Great Location”

The location is really good. It's close to the Osaka and Umeda station and the shopping area. I would highly suggest this place if your last stop is at Osaka, as the airport shuttle bus is just at the front door of the hotel. The space of the room is the standard hotel room in Japan, not too small and not too big, can open a 28inches luggage at least. Just a little reminder for families with newborn : the standard room cannot fit a baby cot. And I don't know if they could provide or not.

I have stayed for 8D7N in this hotel. The location was excellent, there was underground connection to the MRT station and JR station. The Hankyu Department Store was just next to the hotel, with supermarket at B2/F, dessert section at B1/F, and plenty of restaurants at 12 and 13/F. I have booked the Executive Double Room which was 27sqm. The room was very spacious and it is really difficult to find such a big room at this reasonable price in Osaka. I'd just say the room and hotel were a little bit old, but it's fine to me. One improvement that I think the hotel should consider is the quality of cleansing service. Sometimes the consumables in the room were not properly refilled.

If you are coming from Osaka Station, the station is connected to a number of buildings including this hotel. Stay on the concourse and look out for signs towards the Hankyu complex. The hotel is also directly beside an Umeda Station exit.

New Hankyu Umeda”

As a frequent traveler to Osaka, I had been meaning to check out the New Hankyu for a long time and I'm very glad I did. Though it was a short stay, it was very good value for money. I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the room and bathroom despite it being a single room. I definitely plan on booking a longer stay on my next trip.

I toured my three friends in Japan and I immediately offered the hotel for us to stay at. The quad room is reasonably priced. The location can't be beat, with Umeda and Osaka stations nearby and lots of shops surrounding the hotel. The airport bus stops just outside the hotel door. Breakfast is ok for the rate. Great that you have two options of where to avail of the daily breakfast.

Well-located hotel in OSAKA”

The hotel is very strategically located for anyone who want to explore the Osaka city. It is right on top of the UMEDA stations, where you can take a number of subways to explore various part of Osaka. It is also adjacent to JK Osaka station, and this enable easy access to nearby cities of Kyoto, Kobe, Nagoya and Kansai Airport. There is a airport limousine station for connection to Osaka ITM and the Kansai airport. In term of services, it is above average. Overall, it is value for money to stay in this hotel, especially if you could the offer deals that are published in travel sites such as the Agoda.com.

Great location, tiny room”

We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children of 8 & 10 years old). We came directly from Itami Airport to the hotel by train, so in this case the location is GREAT (although it took us some time to figure out where the hotel was) because it's right between Umeda station and Osaka station. Very convenient when we went to Kyoto the next day, Universal studio the day after, and Shin-Osaka station (for shinkansen to Tokyo) on our last day. The only glitch is the room size, we could only open our luggage in the hallway (that blocked our way out) or on the bed to open it up. Breakfast was great with Western and Japanese option, but we noticed that Japanese overall seems to prefer soft boiled/half cooked eggs, so be aware if you're allergic to one (like my son). The hotel also offers next-day luggage delivery service to other hotel destination (which was Disney's Maihama Hotel Tokyo) so it really helped us carry less luggage when we travel to Karuizawa for 2 days before Tokyo Disney.
