Unexpectedly awesome”
From the Agoda listing, I expected something akin to a cabin rental in the US. I was very much (pleasantly) mistaken. This location is a quite posh, yet very comfortable outdoor retreat. Since they have a golf course of some reput, their peak season appears to be the warmer months. When we stayed here (February), we were one of the only guests present. The 7 course meal (they give you the option of French or Japanese styles) was a steal. The staff were exceptionally courteous. Also, only a 20 minute drive from CTS airport. I'm making a point of visiting again the next time I am in Hokkaido.

Although we stayed only one day, it was one of a kind experience. The scenery was truly wonderful, and can't compare this to any place I've been to. Facility was great. The staff was very helpful. Staying at Hotel Nidom makes me feel like I'm on a true vacation, away from work. If anyone plans to visit Hotel Nidom, trust me, no one will be disappointed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Sapporo area. Will visit again, and play golf next time.

Excellent hotel with over 100% service”
All the staffs provide over 100% service with big smile. Love the peaceful environment and the lake view it's perfect. Hotel has provided van service from lobby to cottage, which just give a call. Breakfast its fantastic, giving 2 options, japanese and western style. Goods for family gathering, the hotel has a cozy church for wedding. Even the cottage abit dated, but it's still well maintained, overall its awesome and I will back to the hotel again.

Amazing log house in the wood”
The cottage is amazing. Everything is made from pine wood and all is very well maintained and clean. The cottages are right in the midst of nature and our son loves it very much as it’s like living in the wood. Unfortunately when we stayed the onsen was closed.

Lifesaver during a snowstorm flight cancellation”
I discovered Hotel Nidom by accident. My flight out of Sapporo got cancelled due to a snowstorm in Tokyo. It was the only hotel close to the airport (8 km) which had a vacancy left. Unfortunately, they only have cottages and I had to pay a hefty charge but this is because of circumstances. If I was traveling with a group and we were on a holiday with time in our hands, Hotel Nidom would have been perfect. The cottage has all the amenities needed of a ski lodge.

A peaceful and clean hotel hut stay”
It is very suitable for a family with kids to stay. The wooden hut is very nice. Smell good, with a stair inside the hut. It makes much fun to my kid. Good brand shampoo n bath gel are provided. Except food quality, it tastes ok but not fresh enough, charge a bit over priced in terms of the food quality. But it provides a live violin band performance during dinning time. Overall, i highly recommend this hotel to my friends.

Cottage in the nature near New Chitose Airport”
We chose this place out of the reason that it is near the airport as we had to catch an early morning flight and also needed to return the rented car. Based on this it is perfect, only 20 minutes driving from the airport. But apart from that this cottage is actually for who want to be embedded in the nature (trees/ lake / forest) or otherwise attending a wedding or golf event. And you get your own spacious cottage, the biggest plus It is far from possibly tourist spots. The cottage is nice and very clean. The staff are super-friendly and helpful. You feel the nature and calmness here. The lake view is stunning. However, we booked a "lake-view" cottage and given the one that seems to be farthest from the lake. There were only 3 groups of guests -- we wondered why they didn't give us the cottage with better view. We gave up the cottage and asked to be moved to the standard one and lost the pre-paid price difference.

Great hotel for transit at Chitose airport. In summer would have been great with lots of outdoor activities (golf, tennis) and supplemented with an Onsen.

A very nice 'get away' place”
This hotel certainly has its pros and cons. PROS: Located close to Chitose airport and yet in a very secluded wooded area. Very clean, quiet and an ideal get away place for couples and families. The cabins are sufficiently large to handle a family of four and even five. The Japanese restaurant in the hotel compound is pricey but well worth the high cost. CONS: The hotel is expensive but offers little amenities. They even charge extra for the use of the hot spring/bath facility located in the basement of the main building. Unfortunately there is nothing special about the hot springs facility, i.e. compared to what you would normally expect in high end Japanese hotels; there are only two restaurant in the compound - Western and Japanese - and both are quite expensive; there is no room service which could add a lot to the hotel experience since the cabins have very nice and spacious balconies looking out into the woods and/or a lake; the indoor swimming pool was not in operation at the time of our visit and we were only made aware of this when we arrived at the hotel. This was a big let down since one of the main reasons we booked this hotel was to get some early morning exercise followed by quiet relaxation during the day; the hotel only offers shuttle service to and from the airport and therefore getting around is very expensive since you have to use the local taxi service which is very expensive in Japan and the hotel is located in a secluded area.

Beautiful lakeside log cabin. So relax and enjoyable the facilities of the cabin. Feel like to stay at home with a kitchen, living room with tv. Outdoor with table with chairs looked over the lake very impressive!

The "chalet" type accommodation was amazing, making you feel totally secluded and in the middle of a wood. However we were very upset with the head waiter. He made us feel very uncomfortable having 2 young boisterous boys. It's like he didn't want the kids to make any noise and not move from their seats. This was of course impossible so he kept giving us dirty looks over to our table. Generally though this place is not for families with young kids. It seems to be geared towards adult couples away for the weekend. The food was surprisingly average. We were expecting much better taste and flavour from this hotel. In the end the food was just overpriced and bland. I cannot recommend this hotel.

If you love natural and looking relaxing time to soak in all the greenery, this is the place you have to go, two floors cottage is clean with all you need, especially a fire place makes the stay more sweet and cozy. A good hotel for relaxing”
As good as expected. The wooden spiral staircase inside the house gave me a surprise. It was a little bit strange for me that the bedrooms are situated at the lower level while the kitchen is on the upper level. Overall conclusion, it is a very good place to live at especially in a group of 4-6 people!
