Super clean, friend,y, mod cons apartment in central location”
We stayed ten days and used every facility in the apartment — laundry, dryer, kitchen, even fed a couple of dinners to visiting family staying elsewhere. It is cLose to everything- history, gardens, cafes, grocery stores, and for runners like me, a short distance from a canal trail (entrance on ebisugawa ) and the imperial palace’s spacious grounds. Also super close to subway. The only(minor) thing was the muted but late night rumbling sounds from the rest of the building — kept going till 1am, sometimes later, and started again about 7am. I used ear plugs so I slept most of the night after I realized this was going to be a frequent occurrence. We were in a first floor unit. I also think the photos make it look bigger than it was, but we were comfortable so I am not grumbling! I’d stay here again!

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in in Japan. Staff was very amenable, exceptionally clean, great location - about a 5 to 10mins walk to the station, and right across the market. Small room with limited storage space for clothing and other items but I really loved the tatami floors. It was a hassle having to always take off your shoes right after you get in the door.. And if you forget something on the table as you were heading out, guess what.. Take off your shoes again before you can go and get it. Nevertheless, it felt really good to experience having a tatami mat floor.

Most Perfect hotel we have ever stayed in Kyoto.”
Our 2nd time in Kyoto. Glad to have found this hotel. "Living Lobby", a perfect place for a cup of coffee and creative work. Near to 2 different train stations, three 7-11 outlets with postcard printing machine, 4 different bus stops and countless bars, cafes and restaurants. Walking distance to 祇園 Gion and next to 先斗町 Ponto-chō. Baggage storage meanwhile waiting for the check-in and also check-out. The amazing team of staffs are friendly and very helpful. Our little boy has been feeling under the weather on the 4th day, the staff recommended a clinic nearby. Also during check-out, a taxi has been reserved a day earlier by the reception staff and was informed it would cost around ¥1500 to Kyoto Station. Taxi arrived on-time. Really hassle free, saved us a lot of time too and the cost exactly as been told earlier. For visitors, do consider to grab a taxi from/to Kyoto Station. We would surely return again.

Really nice hotel in a great location”
Loved the friendly staff and ultra clean and comfortable room. Free coffee in the lobby and tea-making facilities in the room are just some of the nice touches. We felt so welcome. It’s also very convenient to the Gion district (a short walk across the river), the food market and shopping, as well as Sanjo station for getting to places farther afield.

Unique decoration and low cost with great location ”
I was walking the Tokaido from Tokyo to Kyoto over 18 days, the end of which is the Sanjo Ohashi Bridge. My friends came down to celebrate the finish, and we had a great time exploring the local area. This hotel was perfectly placed for me to drop my back pack off and then head out and explore the area. The staff were very accommodating, always trying to help with questions, communicating my group’s special needs to the next shift, and making sure we had a memorable stay. The room design is also nice, something a little more traditional and unique than your usual business hotel. This is the second time I’ve stayed here, and any travel I make to Kyoto I’m sure to stay again.

Extremely friendly and accommodating”
Stayed at Resol with slightly complicated reservations, and the staff were more than happy to make sure changes went off without a hitch. Met with a group of friends who also made reservations at Resol, and the staff was happy to put us all on the same floor. This is was great because the room keycards limit your access to only your floor (you can't freely wander the hotel aside from the 1st floor). The rooms were clean and had a distinct Japnese / Kyoto-esque theme to them. The view really depends on the room (my first room looked out onto the wall of the neighboring Cross Hotel, and my next room barely opened a crack). But the atmosphere of the room was more than enough for me, view aside. Resol is near Sanjo Ohashi and in the Kawaramachi neighborhood. It's seconds away from food, convenience stores, karaoke, and shopping. The closest train station is about a 5 minute walk. In a prime location for a base of operations in Kyoto, and with one of the friendliest and most helpful staff teams I've ever met, I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Kyoto.

Small but beautiful hotel!”
We stayed only 2 nights in this hotel, the room was small but very lovely and romantic. Well designed. The bathroom was western style, normal but clean and came with a free toiletry pouch as a souvenir! Location was great, right on off a prime shopping street and very near nishiki market. Had a wonderful stay! Would recommend!

Oh my Kyoto”
This hotel is really really cool. It was exceptionally clean and complete amenities. It has the real Japanese vibe. We love everything from the design and comfort it gave us. It has everything we need and very accessible to everything. I wish we could have stayed longer but we are definitely going back. We will be staying at this place and highly recommend it to others.

Perfect little oasis in the heart of Kyoto”
Possibly the best hotel I've stayed at in Japan! Perfect for a couple, plenty of space (in terms of Japanese hotel rooms), very modern and stylish. Comfortable bed, fluffy pillows, and they have a blackout door to cover the window! Love the little Kyoto-esque touches, like a matcha set instead of coffee in the room and the zen entrance. Perfect location, easy to get to everywhere (especially Gion!). We've found that hotel rooms can be a bit warm in Japan, thankfully the window opens so we can sleep well. Highly recommend!

Exceptional”
Highly recommend this hotel! One of the best things on my trip. I stay for 5 nights, and it just very comfortable. The room is not big, but it is good enough for a single traveler, and it has everything! The staffs are very nice and helpful. The location is very good.

Probably one of the cleanest hotel I've stayed. Room was not too big but it's well prepared and designed. There's a traditional matcha set provided. The bed was comfortable and location is good to walk around. Would love to stay here again.

Best place to stay in Kyoto”
The location of the hotel is simply perfect, the rooms are very cosy and stylish and the staff is so friendly. If I ever come back to Kyoto, I definitely would choose this hotel again. We highly enjoyed our stay and I warmly recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to be in the city centre and having restaurants and markets in walking distance. And don't worry about eventual noise: our room was absolutely quite.

Great location, clean and comfortable hotel”
This hotel is great - the location is perfect, easy to access public transport including the subway and wonderful bus services, and walking distance from many key attractions and shopping centres, as well as a great variety of dining spots on Pontocho Alley and along the Kamogawa river. The room was clean and stylish, they provide everything you could possibly need and the bed is really comfy- great for weary long haul travellers! The free coffee facilities in the hotel lounge are a nice touch, and the breakfast worth paying the extra for if you're keen to try the traditional Japanese breakfast.

Never disappoint”
This is my second stay in a great hotel located in a great spot in Kyoto. Did not disappoint. Great service as always! The common room downstairs served as my meeting place for business, even though we had to keep our voices down. Very convenient for both my business trip and a little tourist activity afterwards...
