Nice View and Big Room with a Reasonable Rate ”
Far away from the town, so you might want to use a rental car to stay here. Shuttle service is also available to Miyazu station. Nice big bath with a outdoor roten-buro. Big omiyage shop and restaurants (we didn’t eat in those places) and for each night, traditional flesh yukata are available. Staff was nice and polite.

Was confused with the hotel name”
We were confused by the hotel name when we reached the property because we saw the big words Daiwa Hotel rather than Hotel & Resorts Kyoto-Miyazu. Nice friendly staff and a nice souvenir shop. Breakfast is good but tables a little dirty. Nice view from the breakfast restaurant.

Wonderful if you have a car, a bit far otherwise”
It was about what we expected. Nice, large rooms, friendly staff, good food & drinks (although a bit pricey, nice view, but far from where we wanted to visit. It was holiday season though, so the price during high season was really good, and we were willing to travel to see the sights, so it was a good experience. There is a free shuttle at a few times, so that was nice.

A huge hotel with huge rooms and huge hearted staff who went beyond the call of duty to help my sister who is gluten intolerant. It is in a lovely area. We only stayed one night but would like to have stayed longer.

Great views”
We had a great stay, location is far out so you ideally need a car for it. Views were fantastic and fabulous onsen. But a big tour bus resort. We enjoyed our stay here.

Friendly staff”
The staff at the front desk were very helpful and friendly. The public bath area was spacious and clean. One recommendation is to have a well lit sign at the driveway up the hill. We drive to the hotel at night time and almost missed the small road up the hill to the hotel.

Only if you drive.....”
Lucky we drove, since the range of food varieties were not so suitable for us, we drove back down to the village to the supermarket and got our dinner. Nice hotel but if not for Amanohashidate, I prob will not visit again.

Nice view from the hotel ”
I chose this hotel because of the location. The room smelled a bit of tobacco . Maybe they can’ t get rid of it 100%. We did not eat breakfast for fear of noisy guests. This hotel is popular for big groups.

A wonderfully presented Japanese dinner”
Our Japanese host couple and my husband and I had dinner at the hotel's Japanese restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by how wonderfully and artfully presented the dinner was. The serving staff were quite solicitous and were not difficult to call. The food was "oishi desu!" Also, good value for money. We were mistakenly sent to a smoking floor but were graciously moved to the non-smoking floor without fuss.

The bigger room, when compared to typical hotels in Japan. Very clean and has a good location. If you travel around this area, I recommend this hotel.

もう、使う事は無いと思います”
三階の部屋で、天橋立は、全く見えませんでした。畳は、古くて色あせてタバコの焦げ跡があったり、汚い感じでした。布団も自分でセットしましたが、せんべい布団1枚で腰が痛くなりました。朝食バイキングは、普通な感じ。風呂は、露天風呂が気持ち良かったです。全体的に写真とは全然違って、ガッカリでした。

施設はよかった”
施設は清潔で ごはんもおいしくよかったです。 夜 スタップの方が「蛇みませんでしたー? おらんかー」と半笑いで衝撃的なことを言いながら、緊迫感もなく、衝撃的でした。 山の方にあるホテルなので、よくあること、紛れ込む蛇も危険性は少ないのかもしれませんが、説明も行動も全てが雑で不安でした。

台風直前旅行”
超大型台風が明日来るとわかってましたが、予定通り旅行決行しました。お部屋は海が見えて、ベッド、畳コーナーがあり、ゆっくり出来ました。夕食は、お酒を楽しみたくて、みやづ亭さんへ。お値段も手頃で、スタッフの皆さん気持ちのいい方ばかりでした。お風呂も広くて、ゆっくり温まれました。実は、翌日、終日特急が運休になり、予定早めて、各駅停車で帰ることに。それはそれで、心に残る旅となりました。
