You have to call the hotel when you get to the station to arrange for the pick up shuttle service. Would advise to call from the tourist information center payphone or ask the staff to give the hotel a call since it could get pretty noisy if you use the payphone by the station ticket gates. It would be better if the hotel could have the option to be reached through the Agoda app via message. Shuttle arrived within 5 minutes and you're off to the hotel! The staff at the hotel are helpful. They helped me out with my itinerary and also shared directions on which bus to take etc. The hotel rooms were small, so it could fit around 2 people max. Best features of the hotel - the onsen and the food! They have a public onsen and a private one (exclusive for hotel guests). I tried the private onsen and it never gets too crowded; sometimes I even have it all to myself. Plus, it offers a view of Fuji! Partial, but still beautiful. Great view of the lake too! Water temperature was just right at around 41°C. Very relaxing. Really appreciated the sleepwear they provide as well in the hotel rooms. Buffet breakfast was good and there was a nice selection - from different kinds of bread, viands, soup, noodles, etc. We also opted to try the hotel's buffet dinner (at 1900 yen) and it was really a bang for your buck! The quality of the food and the variety of dishes were good. Would like to try the crab dinner next time (can only be availed if you purchase it through your reservation when you book your room) because they'd serve unlimited snow crabs! Be ready though - there are a lot of tourists staying at the hotel, especially Chinese tour groups, so it gets really noisy in the lobby and dining area, and even in the hallways since the walls are pretty thin. Best to arrive early for the breakfast and dinner buffets and be prepared to elbow it out with the rest of the guests. The staff replenish the dishes pretty quickly though so food wasn't short. Beautiful view of Mt Fuji”
We had a wonderful experience at Hotel RouteInn Kawaguchiko. Our room on the 5th floor had a beautiful view of Mt Fuji. The room was immaculate, the breakfast both mornings was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We chose to walk to the hotel from the bus station which took about 20 or 30 minutes, walking along the Lake Kawaguchiko shoreline. One day we rented bikes and rode around the lake, stopping at the lavender farm for another lovely view. We also enjoyed the onsen; the view from the onsen is over the lake and towards Mt Fuji and very nice. A good experience with a good price!

Yummy Crab Dinner”
- free shuttle bus from JR station after 3pm, but cannot enjoy it if you want to put the luggage in the hotel before check-in. You may take a red line bus if so. - dinner buffet with unlimited crab is incredible! They serve a large plate of crab to your table and refill on request in 3hrs. That's really valued for money. Crab is good, but other dishes are just average. Room is basic but clean.

Pros: We were so smelly and fatigue after descent from Mt.Fuji. it was closer to midnight. The reception seems to understand our or it's just a typical Japanese hospitality.. we got our bed in just a minute we check in by the attention from the reception that we could use the onsen. Thanks a lot for that. having the best onsen after Climb up and down to Mt. Fuji. Check out process was smooth. I accidentally made double booking and the reception happily waive the cancellation charges. Breakfast included and it was good. Free flow coffee is a bonus for us. Cons: Nil

Special thanks to the front desk staff Mr. Asakura. I lost my hat on the bus to Miyama, when I ask the hotel to help. Mr. Asakura called the bus station and found it for me. Since I don't speak Japanese, He even wrote a translation note of the English and Japanese for me to go to the lost and found staff at the bus station. The is the best service I have ever received. This is a great hotel and I would recommend to anyone to visit Kyodo.

Pros: free buffet breakfast with Japanese and Western food choices, optional to choose for individual small onsen or public onsen with Mt Fuji view on 6th floor. Friendly staff as my friend left his sport shoes shopping bag when we checked in, and the next morning we saw it at the reception counter with a small memo tagged to look for the owner. Hotel location is strategic with Lake Kawaguchiko view and near to red line sightseeing bus stop no. 11 Azagawa onsen town and no. 12 Kukuna hotel and also provided free shuttle van service for pick up from Kawaguchiko Station. The hotel is next to bus stop (if you buy sightseeing bus ticket). The staff are very helpful and nice. They tried their best to answer my questions and gave me useful information. :D The facilities are great. I felt cold in the morning but after having hot spring (you can see Mount Fuji), I felt so much better and did not catch a cold. I paid for breakfast and dinner. Not many choices but enough for me. Overall, it is valued for money and I will recommend my friends to stay in this hotel. :)

nice staff very helpful for all the question you have and the location is amazing gorgeous specially the roof top onsen with the lake and Mountain View! the set dinner with really delicious crab, but it took almost one hour to cut and finish it. but it was really nice to stay here, I will probably come back with my mother to enjoy the view togeter

We had such a great stay in this hotel. We enjoy the individual onsen bath. Breakfast is delicious and you have a wonderful view with Mt. Fuji in the restaurant. You can stroll early in the morning in Lake Kawaguchiko and take pictures of Mt. Fuji. Our Perfect choice of hotel in Kawaguchiko!!!

Room is reasonably sized for individual or twin travellers. The location is quickly accessible via taxi or the Red Route Tourist bus that frequent every 15 minutes. The Onsen facility is also good at Level 6. The morning breakfast spread is fair but good coverage

Delightful hotel”
This Route Inn is a great budget alternative to expensive resort hotels or ryokan in the area! My backward-facing room lacked a Mt. Fuji view, but had a nice view into the woods instead. Everything is neat and clean, staff is excellent. One quibble is that in the onsen, the water is quite hot and there is no window to open, giving it a bit of a stuffy feel; but the view is worth it!
