Great hotel”
The hotel is clearly visible from the Nagano station and only took 3 mins to go there from the station. There is a lift on the bridge which really helps if you're carrying a big luggage with you from Nagano station to the hotel. Room is very spacious and clean. There is 7-eleven just one beside the hotel. Location is great, Room is big, access is easy, It's a 5 stars from me.

Excellent hotel. Staff efficient and friendly. Very spacious room for the price. Downstairs restaurant serves very good breakfast, suitable for Japanese and western visitors. Evening set meal, with fish or steak options, exceptional value. Most enjoyable stay, will return when next visiting Nagano.

Very convenient location and a very nice, hotel. Breakfast was amazing! Great variety. Super close to the station so we could get a nice early start the next morning, and just across the station from plenty of restaurants and nightlife. Convenient access to a combini nearby. The staff was very kind, and the room was clean and rather spacious compared to other hotels we've stayed at in Japan. Our only complaint is that, as it was winter, the heat was turned up high, higher than was comfortable for us. There is no thermostat in the room,, just a big window to open to adjust the temperature. Regardless, highly recommend this hotel!

Great Location”
The location was right in front of the JR Nagano Station, exit on the left. You can see a building with japanese character, a bit confusing at first but its right beside family mart and SHINKO building. The staffs were really helpful and nice.. storing luggage is allowed in the receiption area

Good location, easy to find, close to Nagano station”
The hotel building doesn't have an English name so you have to look for "ホテルサンルート長野東口" on the top of the hotel building. The car park is behind the hotel with JPY1000 fee per day. Please give the car park card to the hotel staff to settle the payment each day. It's daily charge not hourly charge, so it's better for you to go out with your car the whole day, not in and out. Room is slightly bigger than usual. Hotel staff can communicate in English.

Close to train station”
The hotel is near to the train station but there wasn't any shop near to the hotel. The shopping area and foods are mostly located on the opposite side of the train station. But the breakfast serving is good as there are choice of Western and Japanese style.

Better option elsewhere”
Check out time is at 10:00am and you need to pay extra for check out at 11:00am. Still using old school key to get in the room. Location is good though.

Be careful of charges”
The hotel location is strategic, right in front of the station. We booked two triple rooms but we were charged per person. We still need to pay additional charges for each person even though we had booked triple rooms for only one single night. We asked the staffs to give us rooms in the same floor but staffs did not allow. Not really satisfied with our stay there.

This hotel is right opposite the Nagano station, however the shops/restaurants were on the other side of The station. Facilities inside the hotel were old.
