Average Japanese Business Hotel”

The hotel had fantastic reviews but it was just a simple business hotel. The staff was, however, extremely accommodating and many "freebees" (toothbrushes, packets of tea, etc.) were available. My main complaint was that, though I requested a non-smoking room, the room I stayed in was saturated with the stench of stale smoke. The only true non-smoking rooms at this hotel are on the 10th floor. Also, the hotel is on the "wrong side of the tracks", in a non-descript urban sprawl edge of town, just off a busy thoroughfare. The hotel does provide a map that allows you to walk to the train station through the back streets of a quiet residential section close to the tracks. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the station and then you have to cross to the other side (the south side) to get to the interesting part of town. The hotel was fine for a one-night stay, as long as you can tolerate the stale smoke smell of the rooms.

Having booked very short notice to do some sightseeing during a peak travel time, I was exceedingly pleased with how nice a hotel I got despite limited availability. The staff was very nice. The simple bread centric breakfast was really good. There were lots of materials in English about the hotel and he surrounding area, including a great map! There were lots of free amenities by request, like bike borrowing / cell phone chargers / humidifiers. Also you could rent a laptop or iPad for only 1000 yen a day! The double room even had a massage chair! One of the most unexpectedly nice hotels I've stayed in in Japan.

宿泊の2日前に予定日の間違えに気付き、慌てて再予約。予約サイトも変わったので、喫煙か禁煙かを見落としして喫煙ルームを予約していたが、チェックインの時に部屋をチェンジしてもらい、とても助かりました。お部屋もこざっぱりしていて、仕事でPCを持ち込んでいましたが、ゆとりのあるデスクの大きさだったので、快適に作業ができました。枕も2種類置いてあり、選択肢があるって素晴らしいと思いました。また、現場に出かけていたので、靴磨きがあってとても助かりました。それとシャンプーですが、ホテルによっては髪がゴワゴワになるものもあるので、とりあえず持参しましたが、ここのシャンプーはそんな事はなく、安心して使えました。少々難点なのは、ユニットバスが狭くて、トイレに座って体を動かしたら肘が洗面にあたるとか、ドアを閉めると閉塞感が半端ないとか、浴槽が狭過ぎて足を伸ばし切れないとか、曲げて浸かると膝がお湯から出るけれど、そこは仕方がないので、お風呂にゆっくり浸かりたいなら、スーパー銭湯等に行く事をおすすめします。そこを差引いてもとても良いホテルだと思います。

テレビを見て、なぜ字幕をオンしなかった。字幕は聴覚障害者の為に権利です。 あのホテルに行かない！

部屋に入った時に煙草臭かった。 しっかりと脱臭しください。 その他は良かったけどエアコンの周辺から何か音が響いていた。

シャワーヘッドが固定されない。”

泊まった部屋のシャワーヘッドとスタンドが合っておらず、シャワーヘッドが固定されずゆるゆる。そのせいでヘッドの向きを変えても手を離すと壁の方を向いて、使いづらかった。

立地が良く駅、コンビニや飲食店も近いので便利だった。

予約時の要求(禁煙ルーム）が満たされてなかった。朝食は多少オプションを増加してほしい。”

5日連泊のうち2日目の朝食約2時間経過後腹痛が出た。直接取った生ものは朝食にでたマカロニサラダだけなので、マヨネーズが原因だったかもしれない。以後サラダはとらないようにした。
