This was my second visit to this property. Hands down its one the best Orchard road locations. Straddling the two MRT's of Somerset and and Orchard, adjoining the shopping centers of Ngee Ann City aka Takashimaya, ION Orchard, Wisma Atria, 313 Somerset and Centerpoint , you can shop to your hearts content and return to the hotel in 5 minutes. The staff here was exceptionally helpful. first with a early check in and my little quibbles for small additional services . The buffet breakfast had an extremely wide variety including Continental, Indian, Japaneses and Chinese fare. Something for every palate. They do have good deals if you book early. Otherwise pony up the rate you won't be disappointed in this 5 star experience.

Since it's a one way street you can get out each time in the stop you like. * The room - small as most rooms in Singapore hotels but designed very smart and functional! we felt like in a space-ship with cool view on the city skyline. * facilities - 10th floor is Amazing! the gym is very good and new! The restaurant is amazing with very good prices. We got a 50% discount for breakfast for choosing to eat only fruits and veges in the morning :) kitchen is open till 22:30 and we used to get nice evening vegan fruit and veges salad that was adjusted for us! We, a young family with children, stayed at the Hotel Grand Central for 3 nights. The location is excellent, the facility around the area is very good, there's a laundromat (Ozone Wash & Dry) just outside the front of the hotel, some eateries which opened till very late (1:00AM?) and some very good western/mixed cultural foods all around. 313 @ Somerset, Plaza Singapur...We, a young family with children, stayed at the Hotel Grand Central for 3 nights. If you decide to take the breakfast during your whole stay, I think there is a discount possible Breakfast is from 06.00 till 10.00, but be prepare to queu for 5 or 10 minutes... One of the great things is the location of this hotel: 100 m from Orchard, THE shopping paradise and very near to the subway (MRT)."

Their staff was friendly when we checked in and my 3 kids just went wild when they saw the size of the room!!! The junior suite has two large washroom, a sitting area with 2 couches, and a big bedroom+ giant closet. Since the 5 of us just jammed up in Shang-rila Sentosa for 4 nights before, this room gave the kids great space to run around and play hide and seek!! There are reviews I read about unfriendly hotel staff and I really do not understand how they rate "unfriendly". When I went to the check in counter to complain about my key mal-functioned at the door entering the hotel room area, the staff not only made sure we could get pass the door, he accompanied me to my room too to make sure I had no problem with my own room door. The staff at morning buffet were also smiling all the time. It is also located in a busy area and just minutes walk to Orchard Road. The famous Clark Quay is about 10 min away by taxi and we paid around SGD 20 to get there. The only two things I don't like about the hotel is 1. the cakes are not as tasty as it looks (well, I think I make better cheese cake) and 2. the bed is soooo strong and hard that I actually pulled up the sheets to make sure there IS a mattress underneath. Other then that, it is a great hotel!

It has 7-11 shops available near by so u can get your break fast/snack anytime while on your way out or back to hotel. This road has multiple bus stops. Get yourself a 3-days Singapore Tourist Pass for unlimited trips to MRT & Public busses. Both have a/c so thats a relieve in 35C temp during the day. The hotel has a Tour Desk where as i suggest using Klook app to book at activities ranging from Universal Studio, Sentosa fun pass, Zoo, Night Safari, Gardens by the bay, bird sanctuary etc. This way you will not need to stand in ticket lines. Just book and show the online receipt to the gate keepers who will let you in :) do visit asian museum on Raffles stop, Fullerton road for Merlion. Good quality shopping is available at Bugis Junction (Bugis stop via MRT and exit towards Bugis Junction). Do not goto Little India, its very dirty and a mall there with the name of Al Mustafa Center (although cheap) but has terrible / poor quality products. You will be disappointed. Visit East Coast bay near Marina bays for a quite beach spot. Good for camping. On your way out to Airport, book a taxi via Grab Ap and it will cost you a max of $17 SGD till terminal 4 airport. Upon arrival, get a $15 SGD sim from Klook app It will give you 100GB worth 4G internet And free calls to last you easily 8-10 days even. Pick up point at Cheers store on level 2. The room is big, very comfortable, very clean and a fully equipped kitchen Easy access to Orchard Road as it is connected to Paragon with the link bridge. As an academic I am in Singapore for 2-3 days perhaps 4-5 times annually. Singapore is generally expensive, but there are three places I would think to stay as what I would call acceptable Singapore budget hotels. The RELC is probably my favorite, based upon location near the upper end of Orchard Road. The only thing I would really criticize there is the breakfast. ...As an academic I am in Singapore for 2-3 days perhaps 4-5 times annually. Singapore is generally expensive, but there are three places I would think to stay as what I would call acceptable Singapore budget hotels. The RELC is probably my favorite, based upon location near the upper end of Orchard Road. The only thing I would really criticize there is the breakfast. Skip it in favor of Starbucks or McDonalds 300 meters away on Orchard Road. The facilities are limited to what I would call Asian three star standard, but you can go next door to the Shangrila if you need a nice upscale meeting place, etc. (burgers at the top-floor Shangrila Blu Bar are tastiest in Singapore in my opinion, if expensive). My second most favorite is the Ft Canning Lodge, a YWCA affiliate closer to the Clarke Quay and Parliament neighborhood. The breakfast is acceptable there, but the laundromat facilities are not as good as RELC. My third most favorite, a step down and which I typically only book if RELC or the Ft Canning Lodge are unavailable, are a couple of backpackers' hostels on Hong Kong Street, which have a few private rooms with shared bathroom facilities. If cost is a concern the hostel rooms are cheaper, but the trade off is that the bathroom facilities are shared (and the laundromat facilities are also below RELC or the Ft Canning Lodge). Hong Kong Street is well placed close to Boat Quay and the Parliament areas. I think there are two of the different chain hostels on Hong Kong Street, running under different names, but both have a few private rooms.

Other than that, it’s a cosy place, friendly staff, clean environment.

My stay in Supreme hotel was better than expected. Found the room on the old side but it was clean and the beds were spacious and comfortable. Toilet was also clean. Main thing is that it was very near orchard road and to all the new malls like 313 somerset and orchard central. Very Very near to the Somerset MRT as well. About 10mins slow walk to the MRT station. My only complaints were that the rooms had poor sound protection and any people walking in the hall outside will be heard in the room. Also was the poor lighting in the rooms that made the room very dark as the rooms only had 2 lights. one lamp bedside and one main light which was very small. This hotel is perfect for those not too fussy with aesthetics and looking for an affordable place within orchard.

Though they have various items for the breakfast but not much for Indian Travellers, i would suggest them to add a few indian breakfast items as well. Overall, Clean rooms, very very friendly & helpful staff. Refreshing fragrance in the hotel. Rooms are small but enough place for two persons to live in one room. Overall had a great experience, would like to stay here again whenever i travel to Singapore next.

The hotel us quite far from famous tourist attractions but there is a bus stop just across the hotel in front of Raffles Girls School. Also, you can take taxi just in front of the hotel entrance, or take a Grab ride. Rooms were quite small but really clean. If you are a tourist and you spend most of your time outside, you wouldn't really mind the room size. I had a great time staying there. If I go back to Singapore, I would choose to stay here again.

They tried their best with the request and I was granted an early check in! Knowing that I was going to be driving in and out to execute the surprise, she provided me with spare parking coupons so I would not have to keep going back to reception to ask for it. Also, our room was decorated with a pair of love swan towels and a complimentary cake in courtesy of HFC for our anniversary. After the introduction, the staff even reminded me of the complimentary evening drinks that came together with my booking and where it was taking place. On the day of checkout, I tried my luck to see if I could get a late checkout so we could spend more time there. Again, my request was granted. Overall I must say I'm really satisfied with the sincerity and hospitality of all the hotel staff there. They are a fine example of excellent customer service and I will definitely come back for another stay. I also love the colonial touch of the building amidst all that greenery and I specially love the scent at the hotel lobby. If possible, I hope to know the concoction of that scent. Thank you HFC for making my anniversary such a perfect and memorable one. I will be back again!

There rooms were very comfortable to sleep in that we almost always overslept during the mornings. lol.

The location is the main part of my review. The locations is a bit far from the central orchard (takasimaya, paragon, etc) require about 3-5 minute walk via underpass to there. A bit far from me because the last time i stay in mandarin orchard (this hotel is centrally located). I think the room is a bit small compare to other hotel that i've been stayed in singapore. Other than that the service and staff are hilton standard, whiches a good one. One of the restaurant at the hotel are claimed one of the 50th best restaurant in the world by the brochure in the hotel. Oh by the way it doesn't have free wi-fi whiches disappointing and one time i take a shower the water heater is not working like it supposed to do (only slightly warm compare from the other time i used the shower)

And I craved for ice cream and called the personal butler to find out what flavor ice creams they had, however, they couldn't tell me and I was only told 'seasonal flavors'. Nevertheless, this wouldn't stop me from going back to St.Regis again. We were very satisfied with our stay overall. Oh, not to forget, they upgraded us to a better room and arranged for late check-out without us asking for it even. Great value-added service! Two thumbs-up! Highly recommended.

This package came with an upgrade to the Deluxe room. We were very comfortable relaxing in the room which came with a study table and large screen TV, good supply of tea bags. A big bonus was the free internet service with came with the package. Bed was great for sleeping - nice big pillows. Its a good idea to give Housekeeping a call to make up the room when you go for breakfast. They attended to that efficiently. One thing that stood out for us at the Regent was the friendliness of the staff. A far cry from a 6 Star hotel down the road which is often cold and impersonal. So the smiles and pleasant service at The Regent truly made us very welcome. - The efficiency of the breakfast staff in clearing the plates on our table was very good. Staff Lin Chang stood out in this area - very sharp and quick. The breakfast spread served the best French Toast we have ever tasted (but it rotates with waffles & pancake on diff days - the french toast was served on Sat). Unfortunately our request for the French Toast the next day could not be met. Also the baked bacon (tad salty but tender) and honey ham was very nicely done. They served japanese rice & miso soup - but it was rather strange and didnt make sense for many of the condiments and pickles to be placed at another station near the fruits. Most of us wouldnt know there were other condiments for the rice. The Regent has managed to create a warm and welcoming ambience for us - most refreshing compared to many other hotels here. Most definitely recommend this hotel.

It is strategically located between Somerset and Dhoby Ghaut MRT stations, both approximately 10 minutes walk from Lloyd's Inn, which houses well-known shopping places like 313 Somerset and Plaza Singapura and also, many restaurants and cafes for both locals and tourists, ranging from normal coffeeshop to high end delicacies. My girlfriend and I were given a complimentary upgrade to The Patio room, and were taken aback by their generosity. The room was much larger than expected and even had an outdoor bathroom (don't worry, it's covered from outside view). The bed was neither too soft nor too hard, and provided us with a good night sleep. We were initially concerned about insects mentioned in some reviews, but didn't faced any during our stay. As for breakfast, we were given complimentary tickets and chose Killiney Kopitiam (Kaya/French Toast with Soft-Boiled Egg and Coffee/Tea) over Freshly Baked (American Breakfast with $7 top-up). All in all, we love how detailed the room was designed and it really made us, as Singaporeans, feel that we are overseas! A shoutout to all their staffs for making our 3rd year anniversary a memorable and unforgettable one. Will definitely visit again!

How many 3 star hotels offer bedroom slippers, hair dryer, a fridge, a safe, and bathroom fittings reminiscent of a 4 or 5 star hotel? My only complaint was the noise from the water outlet in the bathroom. It's about a 400 metres walk on level ground from the train station and the bus stop is just outside the hotel. My brother and his wife whom I booked the hotel for, enjoyed their stay in Fort Canning Lodge. Being first-timers in Singapore, I ensured that their hotel is close to mrt so that it will be convenient for them to commute. Mineral water, coffee, tea, toiletries, towel were replaced everyday. Better booking including breakfast, because it is cheaper than having breakfast on the sport at the hotel restaurant. But if you dont want breakfast at the hotel, there are many restaurant, food stall, as well as SevenEleven near the hotel. Directly next to the right of the hotel is Starbucks, Black Angus Steak, A Pizza/Pasta restaurant, also 7-11, hotdog and kebab booth. There is a facility for washing and drying clothers using paid machine on 6th Floor. Dont have time to try it, but it seems helpful for long time traveler. Overall, it is a value for money hotel, located @Orchard Road and price is still reasonable.

We decided to return to the Y@OneOrchard, an under-rated hotel stuck between the magnificent National Museum and SOTA (School of the Arts). Some fifteen minutes away on SMRT 6 or SMRT 106 which can be caught directly outside is the wonderful Botanic Gardens and the Singapore Orchid Garden. Dhoby Ghaut MRT (N-S Line) is barely 200 meters away. Our room was on Level 8 looking down on Orchard Road. It is immaculately cleanly with ensuite. On Level 9 is a relaxing area with a large swimming pool. The Y Cafe is on Level 4. Lovely buffet breakfast with satisfying variety. After almost a month of spicey stir-fried food, if was lovely to settle back and enjoy fresh salad, nice coffee and simple Western meals like the lovely fish and chips for dinner at the Y Cafe. The YMCA is a charity that does good deeds. The YMCA@OneOrchard is a peaceful retreat. Daily rate is half of many 4-starred hotels in Singapore. Highly recommended.
