Bencoolen MRT station is across the road from the hotel and Bras Basah MRT station is around the corner. I would stay here again.

Overall this is a good and safe area, and it is about 2 km from Marina Bay so it is all very close. This hotel is good if you’re looking for an affordable option for a decent 4 star hotel in a great location and willing to compromise for the luxury and famous hotel strip experince.

The Carlos Catholic Society is located right next to the St. Peter and St. Paul church where you can buy catholic books, crucifixes, T-shirts, rosaries etc. So, overall, it was a very enjoyable stay for us at Victoria Hotel.

Facilities : Room is very modern. they provide us a phone that allowed us to make a call or browsing. and the best thing is they rent it for free and we can use it outside the hotel. they provide a still and sparkling water near the receptionist which is very good deal cos a bottle of water can cost you 1 dollar there. Overall, i am very satisfied on my first visit on nuve hotel. i will go back for sure. and i very recommend this place for a solo or couple traveler, who want to save money but not feeling ease to living on hostel. this is 3 star hotel that feels like a 4 star hotel. Conclusion : Highly Recommended !

It is definitely convenient to go shopping as the Bras Basah MRT station is a minit walk away from the hotel.

It's ok for a kid, but quite small for an adult. The gym is also small. But I didn't come to Singapore to swim or to workout so they don't matter much. This hotel is very close to Bugis Junction/Bugis Village/Bugis Street. Just 5 minutes walking straight. Very convenient. It's also quite close to Mustafa Center (around 10 minutes walk). Bugis Junction is close to Bras Basah Complex (huge bookstore) - another 5 minutes walk from Bugis. But it's quite far from Orchard road. It took us 40 minutes to walk to Orchard road. (But the walking speed was slow since our feet were hurt). For normal speed, it maybe just takes about 20-30 minutes. If you know a local people, ask them to give you the shortcut way to visit Fountain of wealth, merlion park and other sightseeing. It took us just around 2 hours to go and visit them all (with the help of a local).

The location is excellent as MRT-Little India is only 5mins walking distance. Halal Food and the Sultan Mosque is also walking distance. Sim Lim Tower and OG shopping Complex is just 5mins walk. 7 eleven shop is located within the hotel building. 24hours massage centre is 5mins walking distance and offer good price. The hotel does not offer airport transfer but you can easily ask the receptionist to call the taxi for you which would attend you in a nick of time. Early check in is allowed with extra charges. We will definitely stay at this hotel again.

It is good and cheap, even though the quality might not be as good as Michelin 1 star booth or Tian Tian chicken rice but it's 3min away so who cares. Overall will stay here next time until I can find a better place with the same price, and I doubt it could happen in this lifetime.

I think you can't better hotel in Singapore at this price. Staff are efficient and helpful, no complaint, but on my departure date there was some sort of video shooting in lobby, I was not informed so when I walked out of elevator the crew were staring right at me like I walked into a wrong place (it's c/o time what did I suppose to do ...) finally they allowed me out of the elevator to finish my c/o, but I had to drag myself and luggage out to wait for my taxi on the street because the lobby was still occupied ... By the way, want to thank the reception in their sister hotel at Sultan Street, she helped me to find the right hotel while taxi dropped me at the wrong place when I arrived.
