The last time I visited this hotel was more than 5 years ago. And when I recently pay a visit to the hotel again, I don't think there has been much of a change. Self check-in kiosk was actually a brilliant idea considering how busy this hotel could be with groups of tourists from travel agents, as well as other individual or family travelers. However, if you book via Agoda, you will still need to approach one of the staffs to have your booking registered manually to the machine. After that, you can proceed with check-in and adding a couple extras (RM 5 each) to your booking, such as room with view, connecting room, early check-in, etc. The room was a bit old, but comfortable enough even though it didn’t have plenty of space. The items provided were: 2 glasses, a pitcher, 2 towels, a shower cap, and 2 liquid soap dispensers. The soap can be used as shampoo, shower gel, and hand soap. There was no toothbrush or toothpaste. There were water dispensers in every corner of the corridors so you can get water, hot or tepid, using the pitcher provided. If you need coffee or tea, or extra package of toiletries, you can go to the vending machine near the lobby, right across Watsons. Each package costs RM 5. The staffs, while most of them are friendly, not all of them are helpful. I needed to print the Aerobus ticket which was booked online and sent to me via email. I didn’t know it would need to be printed-out until the staff at the ticket counter (in Mushroom Farm) said so. The lady said they have no printer or internet connection to check online booking so things were done manually there. And those who booked the ticket online would need to submit the ticket print-out directly to the bus driver. I went back to the hotel, approached one of the staff in the information desk and asked if I can print the ticket. We took a Sixer's Room which has three queen side beds and though there is only one toilet and one separate shower and two wash basins, it works out well for the six of us! Perhaps it is just a little longer wait for the shower but that is trade off with lots of family time togetherness with much laughter and sharing, really fun! The location of the hotel is great a...We took a Sixer's Room which has three queen side beds and though there is only one toilet and one separate shower and two wash basins, it works out well for the six of us! Perhaps it is just a little longer wait for the shower but that is trade off with lots of family time togetherness with much laughter and sharing, really fun! The location of the hotel is great as it is just a short walk to the SkyAvenue Genting which has lots of dining, retail and entertainment outlets. It is also the place where you catch the cable car to the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets where there are 150 internationally renowned brands there.

The Check-In was smooth (Thanks to Patrick from frontdesk, who was patient enough to give all information). The Room was Clean and Spacious, and ofcourse had an Amazing view. Lots of restaurants (Chinese, Japanese, Indian/Arabic, and others) were just one floor above the Main lobby of the Hotel. Casino can also be accessed directly from the Hotel Lobby. In my opinion, of all the Hotels at the Highland, the Maxims was best placed (in terms of location) and also value for money. Would only stay at this property whenever I go to Genting. P:S The Hotel was Kind enough to arrange a floral decoration in the room for my wife’s Birthday. Special Thanks to the Team for their amazing gesture.

We had a very excellent experience in Genting Grand Hotel, this is the most expensive and most luxury in Genting Highlands, the hotel itself don't have much shopping or dining options, but don't worry, you can reach First World Plaza in 5 minutes by walk, and walk inside the building (connected building). The room is fully equipped, the amazing thing is the hotel prov...We had a very excellent experience in Genting Grand Hotel, this is the most expensive and most luxury in Genting Highlands, the hotel itself don't have much shopping or dining options, but don't worry, you can reach First World Plaza in 5 minutes by walk, and walk inside the building (connected building). The room is fully equipped, the amazing thing is the hotel provides you a Nespresso machine with 3 capsules every day. The breakfast is awesome with many choices. We will choose Genting Grand Hotel again in the next visit to Genting Highlands.
