The location is gold, on the centre of singapore shopping area, just in between somerset mrt & orchard mrt (btw somerset is nearer than orchard).. The room is very new for an "aged" hotel, the design is classic & elegant, resembling the 5 stars it has.. The facility is amazing : free unli...This hotel never failed me.. The facility is amazing : free unlimited high speed wifi in all rooms & all hotel areas, great linen & sheets, great shower room & bathroom, nice fitness centre (although its quite far from our room, its on main building highest floor in one of the mulfi function room i think).. And the have the best hainan chicken rice in singapore (yes it is) in their chatterbox restaurant.. And the hotel is located on top of 4 storey mall , inside are restaurants, cafes, salons, boutiques, stores, etc.. The one i think need to improve is the breakfast & restaurants & cafe staff, since it a bit need improvement in how to talk to customers, and how to behave like 5-stars staff, not a 3 or 4 stars one.. But overall, once again we always have pleasure when we stayed here, and definitely will comeback again next time we visit singapore

(the best staff we ever had in a hotel) They helped us with planning, adjusted for us the menu to our vegan twists, even cheak and printed for us information about an event in the city! *The location - Perfect location very close to ION mall and MRT station....We are so happy that we chose to spend 5 night a brand new Yotel. *The staff- Very polite caring and helpful. (the best staff we ever had in a hotel) They helped us with planning, adjusted for us the menu to our vegan twists, even cheak and printed for us information about an event in the city! *The location - Perfect location very close to ION mall and MRT station. we mostly used buses. it is nicer to see the city this way (bus stop is even closer and located in front of Thailand embassy) we also liked the hotel located on the beginning of Orchard street. it is very easy to take a bus to see all the street. Since it's a one way street you can get out each time in the stop you like. * The room - small as most rooms in Singapore hotels but designed very smart and functional! we felt like in a space-ship with cool view on the city skyline. * facilities - 10th floor is Amazing! the gym is very good and new! The restaurant is amazing with very good prices. We got a 50% discount for breakfast for choosing to eat only fruits and veges in the morning :) kitchen is open till 22:30 and we used to get nice evening vegan fruit and veges salad that was adjusted for us! we visited singapore for our honeymoon trip. and i believe that one of the best decisions, which we made for our honeymoond trip was to stay in crystal club room of grand park orchard hotel. the grand park orchard hotel is located in a very convenient location, so you can go anywhere of singapore in 1 hour via bus or metro. it faces takeshimaya and paragon, so ...we visited singapore for our honeymoon trip. and i believe that one of the best decisions, which we made for our honeymoond trip was to stay in crystal club room of grand park orchard hotel. the grand park orchard hotel is located in a very convenient location, so you can go anywhere of singapore in 1 hour via bus or metro. it faces takeshimaya and paragon, so you can enjoy your shopping anytime when you need. i promise your wife will love it. also, takeshimaya has underground way to orchard station. so you do not need to worry about the famous hot and humid weather of singapore. the crystal club has wonderful tea, very best staffs, delicious food, and good services - but the cocktail night was so so. the staffs are very well-trained, educated, and friendly. the food - breakfast -was delicious. the staffs knows what i need and they are very helpful. finaly, the crystal club room has a laudary service of 2 cloths for free everyday, which was very good!!!!! it has gym and free water at gym; however, it is pretty small and does not have workout cloths. the hotel room was beautiful; but i felt that room was relatively small comparing to other 5 star hotels in singapore. but, it is not as small as other singapore hotels. if i have other chance to visit singapore with my wife, i will surely stay that hotel, grand park orchard hotel.

I was travelling with my 60+ mother, so we stopped a bit when walking back. We booked via Agoda and I didn't have any problem checking in. I just showed the confirmation and the reception had no problem looking for my booking. Only concern was that I had to wait a few hours for a non-smoking room with two single beds. I arrived at the hotel about 11am and they told me that the room would be ready by about 130pm. No problem, I just left my bag at the concierge and went strolling along Orchard. Well, stroll around Orchard I did and I made it back by 5pm. Stayed for 3days/2nights. Hotel is typical 3-4 star, with a big room and good enough beddings/pillows. The room was cleaned up nicely during our 2nd day. My only minor disappointment was that the cable tv had very few channels. We usually came back to the hotel from shopping at around 10pm anyway so I really didnt need to watch TV that much. I didn't have any complaints to the staff, as I found nothing to complain about. York hotel is a great place to stay if you want to be within Orchard at an affordable price.

It was hard looking for a hotel that was perfect for a family with kids and an infant and one which should be accessible, affordable and clean. Judging from most of the cheap hotels online it was a gamble to take this hotel since it didn't have much of feedba...We got 3 non-smoking rooms for a 6D-5N family holiday not knowing what was in store since this was a new hotel. It was hard looking for a hotel that was perfect for a family with kids and an infant and one which should be accessible, affordable and clean. Judging from most of the cheap hotels online it was a gamble to take this hotel since it didn't have much of feedback and most of the 3 star hotels around the area were given really horrible feedback. When we got to the hotel the lobby was clean and spacious and most importantly the staff were all smiles and friendly. But wait til we see the room since we specifically asked for non-smoking rooms. Guess what, it was bigger than expected and the tub was clean. Whew! The carpet and linen were clean, the bathrooms were spic and span and we even got hot water. Everything was in working condition and we even had a fridge and a safety deposit box. I'd say this is the best 3 star hotel I've seen so far and I'd go back there anytime.

Their staff was friendly when we checked in and my 3 kids just went wild when they saw the size of the room!!! The junior suite has two large washroom, a sitting area with 2 couches, and a big bedroom+ giant closet. Since the 5 of us just jammed up in Shang-rila Sentosa for 4 nights before, this room gave the kids great space to run around and play hide and seek!! There are reviews I read about unfriendly hotel staff and I really do not understand how they rate "unfriendly". When I went to the check in counter to complain about my key mal-functioned at the door entering the hotel room area, the staff not only made sure we could get pass the door, he accompanied me to my room too to make sure I had no problem with my own room door. The staff at morning buffet were also smiling all the time. It is also located in a busy area and just minutes walk to Orchard Road. The famous Clark Quay is about 10 min away by taxi and we paid around SGD 20 to get there. The only two things I don't like about the hotel is 1. the cakes are not as tasty as it looks (well, I think I make better cheese cake) and 2. the bed is soooo strong and hard that I actually pulled up the sheets to make sure there IS a mattress underneath. Other then that, it is a great hotel!

The hotel has a Tour Desk where as i suggest using Klook app to book at activities ranging from Universal Studio, Sentosa fun pass, Zoo, Night Safari, Gardens by the bay, bird sanctuary etc. This way you will not need to stand in ticket lines. Just book and show the online receipt to the gate keepers who will let you in :) do visit asian museum on Raffles stop, Fullerton road for Merlion. Good quality shopping is available at Bugis Junction (Bugis stop via MRT and exit towards Bugis Junction). Do not goto Little India, its very dirty and a mall there with the name of Al Mustafa Center (although cheap) but has terrible / poor quality products. You will be disappointed. Visit East Coast bay near Marina bays for a quite beach spot. Good for camping. On your way out to Airport, book a taxi via Grab Ap and it will cost you a max of $17 SGD till terminal 4 airport. Upon arrival, get a $15 SGD sim from Klook app It will give you 100GB worth 4G internet And free calls to last you easily 8-10 days even. Pick up point at Cheers store on level 2. It was the best hotel in Orchard, even better than the other 5 star hotel around Orchard that I had ever stayed before. On the times that we were not joining the local tours, we've been walking from our hotel down to Orchard Road. We basically entered most of the buildings and had been in and out of all the boutiques and high end shops. Gosh!!!! My leg hurts but it was a good excercise. During weekends we could see lot of Filipinos around Orchard Road. We tried taking the MRT experience going to Clark Quay to eat a crabby lunch at Jumbo Restaurant and then after a big meal we walked to Chinatown. The hotel's location was great. We just have to walk towards the road to start our trail going down to Orchard Road. On our last day we tried having lunch at the 2nd level Chinese Rest. They have a good selection of food there. Yum-cha's good too. Downstairs at the Cafe they have a very nice buffet lunch and dinner. I just looked on the food selections and they were nice too. We didn't try it, next time we will. Our overall experience with Orchard Hotel was an A plus. We will recommend to our family and friends to stay there when they visit Singapore. We like Singapore. As an academic I am in Singapore for 2-3 days perhaps 4-5 times annually. Singapore is generally expensive, but there are three places I would think to stay as what I would call acceptable Singapore budget hotels. The RELC is probably my favorite, based upon location near the upper end of Orchard Road. The only thing I would really criticize there is the breakfast. ...As an academic I am in Singapore for 2-3 days perhaps 4-5 times annually. Singapore is generally expensive, but there are three places I would think to stay as what I would call acceptable Singapore budget hotels. The RELC is probably my favorite, based upon location near the upper end of Orchard Road. The only thing I would really criticize there is the breakfast. Skip it in favor of Starbucks or McDonalds 300 meters away on Orchard Road. The facilities are limited to what I would call Asian three star standard, but you can go next door to the Shangrila if you need a nice upscale meeting place, etc. (burgers at the top-floor Shangrila Blu Bar are tastiest in Singapore in my opinion, if expensive). My second most favorite is the Ft Canning Lodge, a YWCA affiliate closer to the Clarke Quay and Parliament neighborhood. The breakfast is acceptable there, but the laundromat facilities are not as good as RELC. My third most favorite, a step down and which I typically only book if RELC or the Ft Canning Lodge are unavailable, are a couple of backpackers' hostels on Hong Kong Street, which have a few private rooms with shared bathroom facilities. If cost is a concern the hostel rooms are cheaper, but the trade off is that the bathroom facilities are shared (and the laundromat facilities are also below RELC or the Ft Canning Lodge). Hong Kong Street is well placed close to Boat Quay and the Parliament areas. I think there are two of the different chain hostels on Hong Kong Street, running under different names, but both have a few private rooms.

Other than that, it’s a cosy place, friendly staff, clean environment.

When we entered the room, it was clean & neat. Towels & Blankets & Bedsheets are Not Rags as other reviews claimed to be. Aircon & Mini fridge is working great. Hot Cold Shower is good too. AND THEY DO PROVIDE 2 SHOWER CAPS & 2 SETS OF TOOTHBRUSH WITH TOOTHPASTE. I dont understand why people claim there isnt any. But I have just a tiny wish that the main room light could be alittle brighter. Location is almost the best you can get for $100 a night in Orchard Road. Breakfast is Toast, Juice & Coffee. If you have travelled far & wide you should know it is as good as it can get. Some hotels such as H81 or similar don't even serve you any breakfast with almost the same price at some other areas. At least it does save you a meal per day & get you on your way. I feel they are rather like a hostel & i am happy with my stay. Would give it a full 3 stars for a 3 star hotel.

The hotel us quite far from famous tourist attractions but there is a bus stop just across the hotel in front of Raffles Girls School. Also, you can take taxi just in front of the hotel entrance, or take a Grab ride. Rooms were quite small but really clean. If you are a tourist and you spend most of your time outside, you wouldn't really mind the room size. I had a great time staying there. If I go back to Singapore, I would choose to stay here again.

They tried their best with the request and I was granted an early check in! Knowing that I was going to be driving in and out to execute the surprise, she provided me with spare parking coupons so I would not have to keep going back to reception to ask for it. Also, our room was decorated with a pair of love swan towels and a complimentary cake in courtesy of HFC for our anniversary. After the introduction, the staff even reminded me of the complimentary evening drinks that came together with my booking and where it was taking place. On the day of checkout, I tried my luck to see if I could get a late checkout so we could spend more time there. Again, my request was granted. Overall I must say I'm really satisfied with the sincerity and hospitality of all the hotel staff there. They are a fine example of excellent customer service and I will definitely come back for another stay. I also love the colonial touch of the building amidst all that greenery and I specially love the scent at the hotel lobby. If possible, I hope to know the concoction of that scent. when we arrived at shangri-la we weren't really expecting anything too over the top as we had not heard much about the hotel or hotel chain before. the check-in service was fast and very smooth. we went to find the room but had a little trouble, so we asked one of the staff if he could help. he took us to our door and made sure everything was ok and if we needed anythi...when we arrived at shangri-la we weren't really expecting anything too over the top as we had not heard much about the hotel or hotel chain before. the check-in service was fast and very smooth. we went to find the room but had a little trouble, so we asked one of the staff if he could help. he took us to our door and made sure everything was ok and if we needed anything. it was only after calling the reception to ask about the horizon club benifits and the location of the club lounge, that we found out our room was upgraded to valley wing deluxe. from the point we were made feel so special by the staff in the valley wing. the complimentary breakfast, the hor dourves and beverages are amazing. valley wing at shangri-la serve the best singapore sling, much better than any others i have tried. the rooms are very comfortable nice big bed, electronic everything, high-tech entertainment system, mood lighting and very clean. shangri-la has definatly taken the crown for best hotel in singapore in my books and that is out of alot of heavy hitting luxury hotels.

The location is the main part of my review. The locations is a bit far from the central orchard (takasimaya, paragon, etc) require about 3-5 minute walk via underpass to there. A bit far from me because the last time i stay in mandarin orchard (this hotel is centrally located). I think the room is a bit small compare to other hotel that i've been stayed in singapore. Other than that the service and staff are hilton standard, whiches a good one. One of the restaurant at the hotel are claimed one of the 50th best restaurant in the world by the brochure in the hotel. Oh by the way it doesn't have free wi-fi whiches disappointing and one time i take a shower the water heater is not working like it supposed to do (only slightly warm compare from the other time i used the shower)

The brunch at Le Brezza was very good...Overall it was an awesome experience. The room was spacious, nicely furnished and decorated, bathroom was big and cosy, bed was extremely comfortable. The brunch at Le Brezza was very good too, they have really nice and fresh seafood, best oysters we ever had. On the downside, we found the spread for the evening cocktail very limited. And I craved for ice cream and called the personal butler to find out what flavor ice creams they had, however, they couldn't tell me and I was only told 'seasonal flavors'. Nevertheless, this wouldn't stop me from going back to St.Regis again. We were very satisfied with our stay overall. Oh, not to forget, they upgraded us to a better room and arranged for late check-out without us asking for it even. Great value-added service! Two thumbs-up! Highly recommended.

This package came with an upgrade to the Deluxe room. We were very comfortable relaxing in the room which came with a study table and large screen TV, good supply of tea bags. A big bonus was the free internet service with came with the package. Bed was great for sleeping - nice big pillows. Its a good idea to give Housekeeping a call to make up the room when you go for breakfast. They attended to that efficiently. One thing that stood out for us at the Regent was the friendliness of the staff. A far cry from a 6 Star hotel down the road which is often cold and impersonal. So the smiles and pleasant service at The Regent truly made us very welcome. - The efficiency of the breakfast staff in clearing the plates on our table was very good. Staff Lin Chang stood out in this area - very sharp and quick. The breakfast spread served the best French Toast we have ever tasted (but it rotates with waffles & pancake on diff days - the french toast was served on Sat). Unfortunately our request for the French Toast the next day could not be met. Also the baked bacon (tad salty but tender) and honey ham was very nicely done. They served japanese rice & miso soup - but it was rather strange and didnt make sense for many of the condiments and pickles to be placed at another station near the fruits. Most of us wouldnt know there were other condiments for the rice. The Regent has managed to create a warm and welcoming ambience for us - most refreshing compared to many other hotels here. Most definitely recommend this hotel.

Lloyd's Inn is definitely a perfect getaway for couples looking to spend some time with their loved ones in a quiet and peaceful environment. The hotel is predominantly coloured in black and white, giving us the classic and chic feel and at the same time, coupled with patches of greenery which makes us feel close to nature. It also had a small dipping pool that complement the overall aesthetic of the hotel. It is strategically located between Somerset and Dhoby Ghaut MRT stations, both approximately 10 minutes walk from Lloyd's Inn, which houses well-known shopping places like 313 Somerset and Plaza Singapura and also, many restaurants and cafes for both locals and tourists, ranging from normal coffeeshop to high end delicacies. My girlfriend and I were given a complimentary upgrade to The Patio room, and were taken aback by their generosity. The room was much larger than expected and even had an outdoor bathroom (don't worry, it's covered from outside view). The bed was neither too soft nor too hard, and provided us with a good night sleep. We were initially concerned about insects mentioned in some reviews, but didn't faced any during our stay. As for breakfast, we were given complimentary tickets and chose Killiney Kopitiam (Kaya/French Toast with Soft-Boiled Egg and Coffee/Tea) over Freshly Baked (American Breakfast with $7 top-up). All in all, we love how detailed the room was designed and it really made us, as Singaporeans, feel that we are overseas! A shoutout to all their staffs for making our 3rd year anniversary a memorable and unforgettable one. Will definitely visit again!

How many 3 star hotels offer bedroom slippers, hair dryer, a fridge, a safe, and bathroom fittings reminiscent of a 4 or 5 star hotel? My only complaint was the noise from the water outlet in the bathroom. It's about a 400 metres walk on level ground from the train station and the bus stop is just outside the hotel. The Fort Canning Lodge is a relatively cheap (for Singapore) three star hotel, which is one of the two budget hotels I may stay at transiting Singapore 7-8 time annually as academic. Have been staying there off and on since the late 1990s. Basically a family hotel rather than a business hotel. Great value for Singapore purposes.

It was a nice hotel but pity the swimming pool was closed and i wasn't informed until i arrived in the room., though i guess since i already booked online, i couldn't do anything about it! Anyway, the food in the chinese restaurant was good. Italian not so great. Coffeehouse okay.
