The receptionists are youngsters that are very helpful and friendly. The Indian lady that handled my check in was very clear and thorough explaining little details of the hotels. I was able to get an early check-in about 1030 in the morning, while the usual check-in time is at 2 PM. With your room, you will get a mobile device which you could use to make international call and mobile internet for free, and you can carry it around with you. Too bad I've already bought sim card from the airport, I just knew it when the reception lady explained it to me. I ended up didn't using it, but this is a big plus point. The room I was staying was tiny, only 12m squared, but it is very efficiently planned and designed, so I did not feel cramped. There was no wardrobe, which safe some space, instead there was only a rack with hangers, this I think is a smart move, because I never used hotel's wardrobe anyway. Talking about cleanliness, it was spotless clean, I knew this because I did not have any allergic reaction. My only dislike was the AC, it blows straight on to the head, and there was no control of the swing direction from the remote. But, the room itself is already pretty cool without the AC at night in the hot Singaporean weather, so I ended up not using the AC. You have ice and water dispenser in the hallway, so you can refill your water bottle. The door was not sound proofed enough, so you can hear persons talking or running in the hallway, but it was not a big deal for me. Location wise, it is not dead center in the heart of Bugis. Hotel Mi is really near with Bencoolen MRT, and just take few minutes to walk to Bugis Street. The staff were very polite and kind, they gave full information of anything we ask. The room was very clean though a little bit small, but I think it's the standard room size in Singapore. We had a nice stay here. We transferred to this hotel since we didn't like the experience on another hotel in little india. They allowed as us to check in early and the receptionists are very kind and accomodating. Just across the street is a food court which offers a lot of food choices. There is also a 7eleven nearby. I stayed here for 3 nights booking 2 rooms. I was with my little niece, my siblings and my parents. Location wise is just great, there's a lot of night markets and food courts around the area. If you need anything, 7E is just really next to the hotel. ATM is not that far, just beside the hotel building. The room is very basic but very clean. When I booked the hotel I saw there’s a swimming pool facility but didn’t realize it was an infinity pool so nice even though the backdrop is not as good as MBS, it’s still a stunning view of the city. The location is superb and WiFi connection is very good! One of the best connection in the world. The only thing I don’t quite like is the shower and toilet room design are too small. It’s silly to separate them making it harder to go in and out of shower. Lastly the cleaner is quite stingy in issuing the toiletries especially only give one shower gel bottle every day even though I was staying alone in a 2 persons room I booked for 5 nights. The cleaners did not issue standard toiletries. I also have to ask for moisture lotion as well. There are 2 standard water bottles everyday which is very pleasant and nice of the hotel.

It opened on 1st Nov 2017 so pretty new and some renovation is still on going at time ...I have been to many hotels in Singapore and this is the best so far. Orchard, Esplanade, Marina Bay, Garden by the bay just nearby. There are Food Republic and Din Tai Fung next to hotel and do try the restaurant (The Glass Onion) opposite the hotel if you do not want to travel far, the food is quite nice. The only con could be the sound proof however only when you are unlucky to stay next to some people who are not considerate and shouting till 2am which is in my case and the hotel is fully booked thus I am not able to change my room. Will be back if I am going to Singapore again.

This a nice little hotel within about five to ten minute walk (depending on your speed) from the Nicoll Highway MRT station. When I read the reviews about the hotel before I decided on it, the most common complaint was the lift. However I did not face any extra long delays though a few times I had to wait a little. I have two other minor issues. The first one is the very small wardrobe. More than its size, the annoyance was the hanging rod was placed across the depth of it making it very difficult to hang and take clothes. 2nd issue is that there is no one to help you at the ground when you arrive. You are on your own to go up to level 2 where the reception is, and if you are alone and with big luggage you will feel it. They do however provide luggage carts at the arrival point with a notice say something like we cant lend you a hand now but we can provide this trolley to help you with the luggage. I saw this actually later in my stay. Overall I am very satisfied with the hotel.

The bed is little hard than usual. There was no hand-wash dispenser at basin. So had to use body wash from shower to wash hands. TV is too small (but against the price, it's ok) and shows about 6-7 channels out of which only 2 were international.

Plenty of hawkers like the one in Albert Centre scattered around the area as well. There's a good chinese and indian resto that is only 100+ steps away from the hotel too. Our hotel experience was ok. The lobby smells so good. Like cherry blossoms scent. The staff were nice and cordial especially the Filipino guy staff. Checking in was a breeze. In less than 15mins we were granted an early checked in. Room's well ventilated and clean. Aircon's too cold so set it manually.

Late check-out i got was only til 12.30pm, never once had 1 or 2pm check-out - Could be due to high occupancy. No room service but lotsa eateries around, so no complains. My wife and I had no clue what a great location this was when we booked the hotel. To our fascination, we discovered that the entire block where the hotel -- apparently a new one -- was surrounded mostly by colonial shop houses occupied by dozens of restaurants. There's Indonesian, Korean, even Filipino food. But it was the Singaporean fare that we were after, and despite having only stayed for two nights, we had our fill of Singaporean chicken, duck and meat dishes, plus the classic milk tea. (There were steamboat dishes, but we skipped them, since the shops were always full.) A couple of blocks away is the bustling Bugis District, which offers more food some and some serious dry market shopping (but we skipped the shopping part, as well). Other famous Singapore destinations such as Little India and Orchard Road were easily accessible, but this is also because of the City State's ultra-efficient transport system. In all our stay at the hotel was a memorable one, since there were just minor hitches (such as the staff could have expressed more enthusiasm in entertaining questions), or that having the sign "Marrison Hotel" on the Beach Road side of the building would help much in helping travelers on foot locate the building (the sign is on the Tan Qee Lan side).

The room was very clean and came stocked with shampoo, soap, toothbrush and free bottled water. The gym and pool area were nice (gym is a universal weight machine, bike and a treadmill) and they even had complimentary cold towels for use during your workout. Room was nice and quiet and bed was very soft (compared to many beds in SE Asia that are fairly hard). Breakfast was much more than I anticipated with eggs (cooked to order), cereal/milk, sausage, ham, toast/jam, juice, and fruit. My only complaints are that in-room wifi is not included in the price ($12 for 24 hours or $6 for 4 hours), and that they made me walk to go find an internet cafe to print-out the Agoda travel voucher (I booked the room during layover in Taiwan). Other than that though, I would highly reccomend the Bencoolen

Staff: Well they are exceptional. very kind and broad smile on their face. never bother us and always provide everything that we need . Facilities : Room is very modern. they provide us a phone that allowed us to make a call or browsing. and the best thing is they rent it for free and we can use it outside the hotel. they provide a still and sparkling water near the receptionist which is very good deal cos a bottle of water can cost you 1 dollar there. Overall, i am very satisfied on my first visit on nuve hotel. i will go back for sure. and i very recommend this place for a solo or couple traveler, who want to save money but not feeling ease to living on hostel. this is 3 star hotel that feels like a 4 star hotel. My first visit to Singapore and so did not know this hotel or any other, was very happy to stay here and would stay here again, most of my normal travel is in the middle east and in 4 and 5 star hotels, this hotel does not have the extra trappings (or charges) of a 5 star, but apart from that it could be a 5 star. I also appreciated Mr Hata Amin the GM sitting down with me and asking me about my stay and if there were any things that might be improved, I couldn't think of anything. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were very good and the choice of local or western food is a good idea, this was a nine night stay, though I did also eat out of the hotel some evenings Finally the hotel is very reasonably priced for Singapore, so, taking it all together this is my choice of hotel if I get to visit the place again, thank you to all at the Hotel Clover and I hope I get to visit you again.

The hotel must ALWAYS remember is small little refreshment will impact a great image of the hotel and happy of the guest whom travel 10 over hrs of flight to here ( singapore )which you can get 3 bottle NTUC mineral only cost 95 cents. We stayed in a shophouse room with club lounge access. The Pros: - The hotel itself has got a great historic/colonial feel to it. The service & food in the lounge is great so well worth upgrading if you can - Our room was comfortable & well appointed - The overall service in this hotel was great & consistent. If we had a request, the staff tried their best to accommodate - Check in was quick and friendly. (We checked in at the club lounge) - Location was good, with lots of markets, shops, etc near by. The Cons: - There's only one small negative comment which is to do with the shophouse rooms. Although the room itself was good & I understand the reasoning (these were originally the shophouses back in the day) it just didn't feel as luxurious being on the 3rd floor of the hotel with no real views out our window. Personally I would prefer to be up on a high floor. Also, to get to the shophouse rooms there is 2 ways - the long way which involves a significant walk around the hotel, or the short way up a flight of un-airconditioned stairs. Either way is not ideal especially since the main hallway to the shophouse rooms is technically outside (under cover but no aircon) which is not comfortable with the Singapore humidity which can be quite unbearable at times. Other than that, we felt this hotel was great & as mentioned, we'd definitely come back.

Bargain to be had at with dishes at 5-10 S$. The hotel is also around the corner from a few boutique local shops and shophouses ( situated behind the hotel). We drove down orchard road where lots of 5* hotels were and glad we weren't staying there! Nothing but designer shops and no food options ( I guess you eat in the hotels). We stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast was decent, a simple choice of a Malay type breakfast (rice/eggs/noodles/protein), or basic fruit and cereal. I enjoyed the roast chicken and rice! It's a great hotel if you're looking for a place to stay to explore the city and don't need over the top hotel luxury.

We just toured around a bit on the MRT and checked in later not having to tote our bags with us. We were offered a an upgrade to a nicer larger room one floor higher with (2) double beds. I debated in my head about taking it with no extra cost, but declined. We got a queen size bed, I don't know, but for a couple, you really want a queen or larger to sleep on. The downfall is the room size, it is a bit small. You can move around freely, but can get congested with a lot of bags on the floor. We used the folded bag stand to organize and make it comfortable. Shower, toilet, etc... nice, a little tough to dial in the water temp on the shower knob, I mean, its scorchin boiling hot or ice cube cold. Just took some experirmenting on get the handle in the right spot, the warm spot or cold if your back from a sweaty day in sing. The pool is right outside your window. There is a fitness area in the corner of the pool. Its in like a glass gazebo. They had quite a good aerobic, run, weight set-up. You could do your workout pretty easily using just maybe 3 pieces of the 7 or so pieces equipment inside. The pool has full chaise lounge chairs. Super relaxing, long pool, nice to do some laps or just cool off. There is a kids play area, so if your a family this is very good to break the boredom for the kids to doing something different than walk around with mom and dad on a hot sing day. I feel the 4 star price you pay, is really a 5 star hotel in comparison.

We booked the hotel for our 4-day trip in Singapore. It was very easy to find. We took the train from the airport and did not encounter any concerns finding the hotel. The signage outside the building was exactly as it was shown in Agoda. When we arrived, we found it easy to find out what to do since directions were indicated on the first floor of the building. Guests ...We booked the hotel for our 4-day trip in Singapore. It was very easy to find. We took the train from the airport and did not encounter any concerns finding the hotel. The signage outside the building was exactly as it was shown in Agoda. When we arrived, we found it easy to find out what to do since directions were indicated on the first floor of the building. Guests can rely on the green signage outside plus there's a sticker that says "85" on the glass door. We took the lift to the 2nd floor and when we showed the booking print-out from Agoda, we were checked-in rather quickly. Our room was on the 6th floor, so we were instructed to pass through the 2nd floor all-the-time on the way up since an access card from the staff is needed to go up. Location is superb being very close to Suntec City and Bugis. There's also a ton of food places within a 3 to 5 minute walk from the hotel. Staff was always ready to help. Bed was just the right size for two people, though we wished they provided two single blankets instead of one big sheet. We also didn't ask to change it, so we made do with what was provided. We can sometimes hear sounds (either voices of people speaking from other rooms or sounds coming from the pipes, maybe for their toilets & water system). TV standby blue light was impossible to turn off, so we had to find a way to cover it. The cleaning lady was superb, she was so nice and even reminded us that she hasn't given us our complimentary bottled water. It's a good place, considering the price, for a place to sleep and take a bath.

There is a tree in front of hotel (our room), so we could hearing bird twitter in the morning, always. 12. Azan (Athan) is clearly heard from Masjid Sultan, so we never left behind jamaah shalat. CONS: 1. TV Cable just a few channel, about 6 or 7 channel, no children channel 2. No Water Closed sprayer ------------- We will stay again in this hotel if went to Singapore.

Never-ever thought that we have booked a very nice hotel and great staff. Hotel location just nice, friendly and helpful staff is the best, cleanliness of the hotel perfect. I asked my friend how's she going to rate the hotel for overall, without thinking, she replied me 10/10! Great hotel ever. And will return back to the hotel again. Last but not least, thank you very much to the hotel staff and also manager. We definitely will go back to stay with you again and introduce to everyone. TQ~

I wasn't expecting too much when I booked a room for me and my mom as I was only after the location of the hotel since I read from the other reviews that it's practically just a stroll away from most of the places we were planning to visit. When we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised since the room is bigger compared to the usual 3 star hotels around the Bugis area. When we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised since the room is bigger compared to the usual 3 star hotels around the Bugis area. Although customer service of the staff is average which is normal in Singapore, I did enjoy the convenience plus I also love the view from our room. Despite the fact that we were just at the 3rd floor, we didn't hear any noise coming from the road. It was also great that we had so many options when it comes to food and places to go to. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Our Standard Double Room was quite small but good space and clean as well as comfortable enough for 2 adults. The staffs were ever so helpful and friendly regardless of the time they were approached at. The best point is the location whereby it is situated almost like next to the MRT station Little India, the place is visible as you exited the station via Mackenzie Road exit, with very short distance walking to reach the entrance of the hotel. As a Muslim traveler, I was very pleased to find two Halal certified restaurants just beside the hotel, serving local delicacies as well as kopitiam style food. There is also 7 eleven, within very short distance walking as well. All in all, me and my friend had a really good stay at Zen Rooms Mackenzie, stress and hassle free, definitely recommend this hotel for others and would stay here again if I'm ever back in Singapore.

I think you can't better hotel in Singapore at this price. Elegant and practical design for their relative spacious room (I like the shower room especially), quite at night, some cheap spa nearby, a nice indian restaurant open till late, etc. Of course it's not in the best area but considering the size of Singapore, it's still a better to spend a little more on taxi...I think you can't better hotel in Singapore at this price. Staff are efficient and helpful, no complaint, but on my departure date there was some sort of video shooting in lobby, I was not informed so when I walked out of elevator the crew were staring right at me like I walked into a wrong place (it's c/o time what did I suppose to do ...) finally they allowed me out of the elevator to finish my c/o, but I had to drag myself and luggage out to wait for my taxi on the street because the lobby was still occupied ... By the way, want to thank the reception in their sister hotel at Sultan Street, she helped me to find the right hotel while taxi dropped me at the wrong place when I arrived.

Location is excellent, as it is only 5 minutes walk to Little India or Rochor MRT stations. There are many places to eat and drink, a very cost effective area is a small Soi running parallel ...My wife &I stayed here for 5 days, booked through Agoda. Check in no problem. There are many places to eat and drink, a very cost effective area is a small Soi running parallel to Rochor Rd & Middle Rd, on the way to Bugis St markets. Great food court down stairs.
