This hotel never failed me.. I went here over & over when i visitting singapore.. The location is gold, on the centre of singapore shopping area, just in between somerset mrt & orchard mrt (btw somerset is nearer than orchard).. The room is very new for an "aged" hotel, the design is classic & elegant, resembling the 5 stars it has.. The facility is amazing : free unlimited high speed wifi in all rooms & all hotel areas, great linen & sheets, great shower room & bathroom, nice fitness centre (although its quite far from our room, its on main building highest floor in one of the mulfi function room i think).. And the have the best hainan chicken rice in singapore (yes it is) in their chatterbox restaurant.. And the hotel is located on top of 4 storey mall , inside are restaurants, cafes, salons, boutiques, stores, etc.. The one i think need to improve is the breakfast & restaurants & cafe staff, since it a bit need improvement in how to talk to customers, and how to behave like 5-stars staff, not a 3 or 4 stars one.. But overall, once again we always have pleasure when we stayed here, and definitely will comeback again next time we visit singapore

Pros. My parents and I stayed in Premium Queen with Bunk for 2 nights during 30 Dec to 1 Jan. After completed booking, I sent Yotel an email to request for high floor with nice illumination view. They arranged me the room on FL.26 with ION orchard view which had very nice illumination on the building and also the giant Pandora christmas tree. More than that, they also attached curtain on the glass wall at shower area since I told them that I had concern about its transparency. This was truly beyond my expectation! The hotel location is perfect. Only few steps from Royal Thai Embassy bus stop. (We preferred traveling by bus rather than MRT as we can see nice view of the city.) For MRT, in front of Shaw House, there are entrances/exits to underpass linking to MRT and many department stores around Orchard. Very convenient to travel around Singapore. All amenities provided in the room were pretty nice. Also, my father liked the bunk bed. It is strong enough for adult not just the kids. We all had nice sleep during 2-day staycation. Cons. As I stayed during peak season of New Year holiday, i thought the number of staffs were not enough to service the guests at Lobby. The most thing i felt bad was toilet in our room. The first night went very well. But on the second night, the water didn't drain into the pipe. So, the floor was flooded! BTW, asides from little cons, we had a great stay at Yotel. Will recommend to my friends. :)

Booked crystal club room and got free upgrade to crystal club premium, slightly bigger in terms of room size. Excellent service during check-in, was attended by club floor manager. As part of club benefits, we had excellent high tea at club lounge and the team surprised me with a chocolate cake! Dinner at hotel's restaurant was at pretty reasonable price, international buffet spread with many stations where food will be cook as per order and according to servings. Key highlight: need to try out the clay pot station! With 6 variety to choose from, I couldn't resist and ordered all 6! If you thought of trying local dishes but afraid to take on big portion, try out the clay pot station for 1pax serving! We also had some drinks at bar cannery, and I have to emphasize that this is really a hidden jem in orchard road! Lovely music and relaxing ambiance. By far the only outdoor bar that allows free-smoking! Despite all the good things about grand park orchard, I still believe that there's always room for improvement. 1) woken up early in the morning at 8am because 2 cleaner we're shouting across room and discussing about TV series. 2) lack of TV channels, which was quite surprising. Do not have channels like HBO? And had some issues with satellite connecting, images was alil lagging. Overall, Grand Park Orchard is definitely the best hotel I've stayed in Singapore and would love to be back again!

From the moment we walked in we felt very welcome. There was a very nice young malaysian gentleman who made us feel very welcome. My husband was coming for heart surgery & we had to only request for a large room & he gave us the biggest deluxe room on the floor! thanks to him, my husband's post surgery recovery was excellent. We had stayed in another hotel down the same road a week before & were very disappointed as it was a tiny room. York 508 was super. The Bellman (tall chinese guy) was also very gracious. we ordered room sevice several time & the portions were so big, that the last few times we just ordered one portion & shared! the food too, was very good & well presented. I will recommend this hotel to anyone without hesitation.

This hotel is in the best location if you want to be near Orchard Road. It was right in the middle of orchard road but slightly further back so its away from the noisy busy streets of orchard road. Right in front of the hotel is a great little side street which is open all day and all night serving fresh seafood, satay skewers, hainan chicken rice and a lot of other yummy things for a cheap price. The hotel was very clean, and our room was perfect. we were on the top floor so the room was very quiet. the hotel lobby staff were amazing also. We had the best stay there and would definately stay again.

We got 3 non-smoking rooms for a 6D-5N family holiday not knowing what was in store since this was a new hotel. It was hard looking for a hotel that was perfect for a family with kids and an infant and one which should be accessible, affordable and clean. Judging from most of the cheap hotels online it was a gamble to take this hotel since it didn't have much of feedback and most of the 3 star hotels around the area were given really horrible feedback. When we got to the hotel the lobby was clean and spacious and most importantly the staff were all smiles and friendly. But wait til we see the room since we specifically asked for non-smoking rooms. Guess what, it was bigger than expected and the tub was clean. Whew! The carpet and linen were clean, the bathrooms were spic and span and we even got hot water. Everything was in working condition and we even had a fridge and a safety deposit box. I'd say this is the best 3 star hotel I've seen so far and I'd go back there anytime.

Staycation for a couple of days for wife's birthday. Got free room upgrade becoz of this. And they also surprise us complimentary mini bar and cake. Pros: - Staff very attentive and professional. - Small complimentary services/surprises really goes a long way in customer's perceptions. Hats off. - Location of hotel and its complimentary parking. - Cleanliness of rooms. - Halal certified restaurant (see below) Cons - Nothing major but if i could nit pick, the price could be a bit steep if its book without any agoda promo. But u pay what u get, in this case 5 star service given by Royal Scott. - I have high expectations for carousel breakfast buffet especially after trying out their lunch, tea and dinner buffet a few years ago. Plenty of bfast spread but taste wise, their breakfast buffet is above average.

The Goodwood Park Hotel had its share of history, owned by some wealthy Singaporeans, than used as the war-tribunal for the Japanese after the second world war. And now a hotel which combines that “old” in new luxury. I't s difficult to find ok hotels in Singapore in the lower price ends, even the expensive ones do not always live up to their price-tag, but the Goodwood certainly does. A friendly staff (without being stiff), a big hotel with 2 swimming pools (one just at the lobby and a more intimate down in the hotel), some quite expensive restaurants (who aren't really worth the price - paid over 400 euro's for dinner with 4 and expected more from that) you can find much better restaurants in town. Rooms are spacious, nicely furnished and have all the accommodation one wishes. Cleaning staff is more than helpful, breakfast is recommended (with tasty omelets at your wishes, Asian and common breakfast, ....). They have bars and shops and off course the high tea, if you want to take part, make a reservation, every single afternoon I passed by it was packed. It looked tasty but since I wasn't free at tea time I never enjoyed the party. Also nicely located, just off Orchard (not even 5 min. walk) so if you want to be in or out the crowds it's a matter of minutes in short: this hotel has something to live up to, and does that perfect – one minor thing the hotel is old and at some places it shows, scratches at the walls, carpets looking as old as they are, … but the do their best, the power of the humidity and hot temperatures is really intense over here, they eat buildings a live - just look at the Ion Mall, build only a few years ago and already showing signs of decay

We stayed for 3 nights here. The location is very nice. Its 5mins walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station near Plaza Singapora. It has 7-11 shops available near by so u can get your break fast/snack anytime while on your way out or back to hotel. It has a neat swimming pool on roof top accessible by lift 1 only with an outstanding view of the vicinity. Recommend a panoramic photo from there. Hotel has two entrances, the other one opens towards the main Orchard Road, where you can find a number of malls like Orchard Point, Orchard Central, Ngee Ann city center, 313 Somerset, Apple Store. This road has multiple bus stops. Get yourself a 3-days Singapore Tourist Pass for unlimited trips to MRT & Public busses. Both have a/c so thats a relieve in 35C temp during the day. The hotel has a Tour Desk where as i suggest using Klook app to book at activities ranging from Universal Studio, Sentosa fun pass, Zoo, Night Safari, Gardens by the bay, bird sanctuary etc. This way you will not need to stand in ticket lines. Just book and show the online receipt to the gate keepers who will let you in :) do visit asian museum on Raffles stop, Fullerton road for Merlion. Good quality shopping is available at Bugis Junction (Bugis stop via MRT and exit towards Bugis Junction). Do not goto Little India, its very dirty and a mall there with the name of Al Mustafa Center (although cheap) but has terrible / poor quality products. You will be disappointed. Visit East Coast bay near Marina bays for a quite beach spot. Good for camping. On your way out to Airport, book a taxi via Grab Ap and it will cost you a max of $17 SGD till terminal 4 airport. Upon arrival, get a $15 SGD sim from Klook app It will give you 100GB worth 4G internet And free calls to last you easily 8-10 days even. Pick up point at Cheers store on level 2. Use mini bus to reach your hotel. It will cost you $SGD 9 per person with a travel time of 25-30mins. Booking stand is location at last level. They charge credit card and d

The service was great, the staff is more than keen yo help you. The hotel as well is beautiful. We stayed at the executive studio and even that we found it exclusively luxurious. The location is the best part. The hotel has linked bridge yo the paragon mall, than just a few metres from the mall you can access the orchard mrt station. The hotel provide you with a handphone which is so handy and you can bring it anywhere, just making sure to return back before checking out.

Our 4 nights stay with Orchard Hotel was great. We stayed at 2x Superior rooms as our boys stayed on the other room. The rooms were very clean and the beds were really cozy and comfortable to sleep in. The cleaner as we requested cleaned our rooms almost everyday. When we arrived the friendly Filipina staff, Mel checked us in and we requested that our 2 rooms be right next to each other. We got the requested rooms thanks to Mel. The following day I inquired with the Hotel's tour desk and we booked for our Sentosa, Night Safari and the Cheng Ho Dinner Cruise. On the times that we were not joining the local tours, we've been walking from our hotel down to Orchard Road. We basically entered most of the buildings and had been in and out of all the boutiques and high end shops. Gosh!!!! My leg hurts but it was a good excercise. During weekends we could see lot of Filipinos around Orchard Road. We tried taking the MRT experience going to Clark Quay to eat a crabby lunch at Jumbo Restaurant and then after a big meal we walked to Chinatown. The hotel's location was great. We just have to walk towards the road to start our trail going down to Orchard Road. On our last day we tried having lunch at the 2nd level Chinese Rest. They have a good selection of food there. Yum-cha's good too. Downstairs at the Cafe they have a very nice buffet lunch and dinner. I just looked on the food selections and they were nice too. We didn't try it, next time we will. Our overall experience with Orchard Hotel was an A plus. We will recommend to our family and friends to stay there when they visit Singapore. We like Singapore. As an academic I am in Singapore for 2-3 days perhaps 4-5 times annually. Singapore is generally expensive, but there are three places I would think to stay as what I would call acceptable Singapore budget hotels. The RELC is probably my favorite, based upon location near the upper end of Orchard Road. The only thing I would really criticize there is the breakfast. Skip it in favor of Starbucks or McDonalds 300 meters away on Orchard Road. The facilities are limited to what I would call Asian three star standard, but you can go next door to the Shangrila if you need a nice upscale meeting place, etc. (burgers at the top-floor Shangrila Blu Bar are tastiest in Singapore in my opinion, if expensive). My second most favorite is the Ft Canning Lodge, a YWCA affiliate closer to the Clarke Quay and Parliament neighborhood. The breakfast is acceptable there, but the laundromat facilities are not as good as RELC. My third most favorite, a step down and which I typically only book if RELC or the Ft Canning Lodge are unavailable, are a couple of backpackers' hostels on Hong Kong Street, which have a few private rooms with shared bathroom facilities. If cost is a concern the hostel rooms are cheaper, but the trade off is that the bathroom facilities are shared (and the laundromat facilities are also below RELC or the Ft Canning Lodge). Hong Kong Street is well placed close to Boat Quay and the Parliament areas. I think there are two of the different chain hostels on Hong Kong Street, running under different names, but both have a few private rooms.

Everything of this hotel is really excellent, I have to mention the guy Jack at the front desk’ he is a very nice guy with a polite, charming smile all the time and high work efficiency as well. Many thanks to him. Another thing I have to elaborate is that we have to catch up an early flight’ what surprised me is that the hotel prepared take out breakfast for us immediately when we were to check out’ How nice! I gotta say this is definitely a nice hotel and I have to live at this hotel whenever I come back to Singapore again!

From the beginning to the end of our trip the stay as outstanding. Jimmy who checked us in was so friendly and kind to help us with advice and taxi bookings - was so accommodating to a large group of us and was more than we could ask for. The hotel was always clean, facilities were great - day spa on site which was a welcomed bonus. I’ve eaten at their high tea previously and I highly recommend it. It’s like none other that I’ve seen before. The apartment is conveniently located minutes walk from Orchard Road which I walked to and from almost everyday. Would definitely come back here.

My kid n I late check-in at evening. Room was ready. 2 older male staffs were at the counter. For those people who said the staffs are rude pls touch your heart & ask yourself. I mean things goes both ways. If you are friendly & courteous you get the same treatment back. Dont be yaya papaya & expect that you are some big shot checking in. The hotel uses the older c/in method with paper files & stuffs. So be patient & wait. It may seems slow. Dosent kill you to wait a few mere minutes right?! There are 2 lifts. Older versions tiny lifts that is really cute if you ask me. My kid was in awe seeing such a lift in his lifetime. When we entered the room, it was clean & neat. Towels & Blankets & Bedsheets are Not Rags as other reviews claimed to be. Aircon & Mini fridge is working great. Hot Cold Shower is good too. AND THEY DO PROVIDE 2 SHOWER CAPS & 2 SETS OF TOOTHBRUSH WITH TOOTHPASTE. I dont understand why people claim there isnt any. But I have just a tiny wish that the main room light could be alittle brighter. Location is almost the best you can get for $100 a night in Orchard Road. Breakfast is Toast, Juice & Coffee. If you have travelled far & wide you should know it is as good as it can get. Some hotels such as H81 or similar don't even serve you any breakfast with almost the same price at some other areas. At least it does save you a meal per day & get you on your way. I feel they are rather like a hostel & i am happy with my stay. Would give it a full 3 stars for a 3 star hotel.

On top of our list is the hotel staff - friendly, warm, efficient and proactive. They are the hotel’s best assets! Well-trained, polite and educated, incl the breakfast crew. Definitely, A1 rating. Second is the hotel room . While it may not be spacious, it had very comfortable beds/pillows, excellent airconditioning and was always cleaned early by housekeeping. Third, breakfast was filling though average. Finally, location is excellent- walking distance to shopping malls & restos,, accessible by bus, and near Church for Sunday Mass. But still in a quiet alley for us not to be disturbed . Will definitely return with fam & friends. Love the hotel! Love the staff! stayed in Holiday Express Inn when I was in Europe but didnt enjoy as much as I did in Singapore! Thank you to the staff!

The property commands an excellent location, close to Scotts Rd and Orchard Road. Although on Stevens Rd, it is relatively quiet and serene. The room is very clean and smells fresh. The bed feels new and not saggy. We love the Papparich restaurant which is located next door, which offers great Malaysian hawker foods. We have no complaint about the Mercure on Stevens, especially the room rate this time around was relative fair for a 4 star property.

This is an excellent hotel,probably the best we have stayed in,that offers the best of everything. The rooms are first class,with high speed wifi,large TV with 37 channels to chose from,a superb sound system to plug your iPhone into,this also charges,which is very convenient.There is a large free standing bath,which my wife enjoyed,and a large overhead shower. Breakfast was excellent,with quality juices and coffee.The little things that make a big difference.The outlook is very pleasant,looking out onto the parkland gardens. If you want to spend some time around the pool you are in for treat as both pools have the cleanest crystal clear water I have ever seen. The gym is simply the best I have ever used anywhere.The equipment is first class and all in very good working order.Again you look out onto the parkland gardens. We had a meal in their Italian restaurant,which was very pleasant and reasonably priced. Finally,we found the staff very helpful and enthusiastic. We will definitely stay here again.

i only stayed for a night with my friends (there was 3 of us), but my overall experience was definitely 5/5. we arrived early in singapore and got an early check-in which totally helped because we weren't planning to stay in the city center to wait for 2pm. when we got into our hotel room, everything was neat, there was extra towels and overall, a really great room for the cheap price we paid for it. we even found an extra pillow which was a great bonus. location, location, location! that is definitely the best part about this hotel. it was so close to orchard and even the somerset mrt station. we didn't get breakfast with our room, so waking up in the morning to get some food was way easy. we're already planning for another trip to singapore and have already decided to stay at this hotel again. i would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good stay in singapore!

when we arrived at shangri-la we weren't really expecting anything too over the top as we had not heard much about the hotel or hotel chain before. the check-in service was fast and very smooth. we went to find the room but had a little trouble, so we asked one of the staff if he could help. he took us to our door and made sure everything was ok and if we needed anything. it was only after calling the reception to ask about the horizon club benifits and the location of the club lounge, that we found out our room was upgraded to valley wing deluxe. from the point we were made feel so special by the staff in the valley wing. the complimentary breakfast, the hor dourves and beverages are amazing. valley wing at shangri-la serve the best singapore sling, much better than any others i have tried. the rooms are very comfortable nice big bed, electronic everything, high-tech entertainment system, mood lighting and very clean. shangri-la has definatly taken the crown for best hotel in singapore in my books and that is out of alot of heavy hitting luxury hotels.

our stay as a turist in singapore in the hilton hotel exceeded my expectations , the reason was that from the point we arrived i could feel that we where given attention. meaning that nevermind where we were teh staff made sure that we had everything we wanted. i personally live in hotel around the world about 100-150 days a year and no where have i got service where i felt that the staff really wanted me to feel comfortable. for example in the us your hear that they say it because the boss has said they need to say "hello", in singapore hilton even in the elevator a staff member kindly asked how our days was and did listen to my sons comment of the day and then wished a pleasent day. the hotel is in my normal travelling considered a high level standard but this really achieved more than that. maybe teh only thing that could if there is avalaibility to do that is to create a activity room for both kids and young ppl, maybe close to the gym or where ever there is room. for smaller kids i think there is not concrete activity, though the hotel is mostly a business and celebration facility (weddings and birthdays) . i want to say a big thank you to the staff , also the kitchen for a great breakfast ,

Overall it was an awesome experience. The room was spacious, nicely furnished and decorated, bathroom was big and cosy, bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is located really close to Orchard Road, a good 20-minutes leisurely stroll or about 2-3 bus stops away. It was not cheap, but it is worth every single cent we paid for. The brunch at Le Brezza was very good too, they have really nice and fresh seafood, best oysters we ever had. On the downside, we found the spread for the evening cocktail very limited. And I craved for ice cream and called the personal butler to find out what flavor ice creams they had, however, they couldn't tell me and I was only told 'seasonal flavors'. Nevertheless, this wouldn't stop me from going back to St.Regis again. We were very satisfied with our stay overall. Oh, not to forget, they upgraded us to a better room and arranged for late check-out without us asking for it even. Great value-added service! Two thumbs-up! Highly recommended.

Very pleasant stay, actually much better than expected. The nice old Regent brand has mostly disappeared but not yet in Singapore as The Four Seasons is just round the corner and having a different owner would object a name change of the Regent into Four Seasons... Anyway. First things first. The location is just wonderful. Next to Orchard road yet tucked away in a nice quieter road. The hotel is one of those huge hotels so typical to Singapore in the 80s where everything revolves around a huge inner courtyard. The touches in the public areas are quite nice and the service level is high. I'd give the property 5 stars were it not for the slightly outdated rooms and bathrooms (shower in the bathtub etc., quite old-fashioned). Apart from that all else was top notch and no complaints. Try to find a good deal for the Regent on one of the many booking sites. It's a huge hotel and there are regularly deals to be had. I wish the wonderful Regent brand was to be revived.

Lloyd's Inn is definitely a perfect getaway for couples looking to spend some time with their loved ones in a quiet and peaceful environment. The hotel is predominantly coloured in black and white, giving us the classic and chic feel and at the same time, coupled with patches of greenery which makes us feel close to nature. It also had a small dipping pool that complement the overall aesthetic of the hotel. It is strategically located between Somerset and Dhoby Ghaut MRT stations, both approximately 10 minutes walk from Lloyd's Inn, which houses well-known shopping places like 313 Somerset and Plaza Singapura and also, many restaurants and cafes for both locals and tourists, ranging from normal coffeeshop to high end delicacies. My girlfriend and I were given a complimentary upgrade to The Patio room, and were taken aback by their generosity. The room was much larger than expected and even had an outdoor bathroom (don't worry, it's covered from outside view). The bed was neither too soft nor too hard, and provided us with a good night sleep. We were initially concerned about insects mentioned in some reviews, but didn't faced any during our stay. As for breakfast, we were given complimentary tickets and chose Killiney Kopitiam (Kaya/French Toast with Soft-Boiled Egg and Coffee/Tea) over Freshly Baked (American Breakfast with $7 top-up). All in all, we love how detailed the room was designed and it really made us, as Singaporeans, feel that we are overseas! A shoutout to all their staffs for making our 3rd year anniversary a memorable and unforgettable one. Will definitely visit again!

The stay was really good and we were very relaxed. We felt very comfortable as the kitchen has so many complimentary food provided and the beds were very comfortable too. We were very impressed by the good quality of toiletries and snacks that were provided. Overall, we love staying here and we will definitely recommend to others and come back again too! Thanks all the staff especially "Joo" (Malaysian female staff, sorry if spelt wrongly) who was really outstanding, friendly and helpful with our needs during our stay there.

How many 3 star hotels offer bedroom slippers, hair dryer, a fridge, a safe, and bathroom fittings reminiscent of a 4 or 5 star hotel? My only complaint was the noise from the water outlet in the bathroom. It's about a 400 metres walk on level ground from the train station and the bus stop is just outside the hotel. They have a shuttle to Orchard Road, the Botanic Gardens and also to the train station if one has a lot of luggage. The staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful; especially Mona!

We booked this hotel after having 3 days in Johor Bahru because Singapore has become too expensive for nice hotels. So we made our 4 day stop over in Singapore, one in Malaysia. We didn't want to leave Malaysia the morning of our 9am flight out of Changi airport however so we decided to overnight our last night in Singapore. I found this hotel and because everything else was so sky high I though this place was going to be a cheap and uncheerful. I was happily surprised when we got there. A bellman carted bags all the way to the room, the lobby was pleasant and the place felt dignified. It is across from the ritzier Fort Canning Hotel. Great thing: the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station is a 7 minute walk away. The room itself was small, but we knew that going in. Yet, it was clean and the bathroom was spotless with lots of hot water and great water pressure. The lobby staff happily gave us a cot near midnight for our 3 year old and didn't charge us. What really sold us was the pool. The pool is probably third olympic size in length and and again in width. It's a really good pool! The day I was there they were giving swimming lessons to a group of Japanese children so they must keep it in good shape as they probably charge a monthly fee to locals to use it. One thing that annoyed us... Upon arrival we had to join the YWCA with a 'temporary membership' of SGD$3.21. It's peanuts really, but it's the first thing they ask for, complete with 6 page printed off copy of every open heading on the 'BOOKING' page. Whilst booking, the whole thing is buried in the fine print when you book; not after. It will not be on your printed receipt you show at check in. Not the end of the world, but irritating. Maybe Agoda could ask the hotel to make this a little more obvious or put it in the price of the room. We still would have booked. Taxi to the airport the next morning was SGD$26 at low peak time.

Best location (near Ion Orchard, Hard Rock, Orchard MRT, Borders bookstore, and many restaurants). We booked for Standard Room and being upgraded during check-in without any charges. The room is big, with its own walking closet, LCD screen (even though view from the window was not so good, but it's OK). There's shuttle bus to Universal Studio (but not via versa). Clean. Mineral water, coffee, tea, toiletries, towel were replaced everyday. Better booking including breakfast, because it is cheaper than having breakfast on the sport at the hotel restaurant. But if you dont want breakfast at the hotel, there are many restaurant, food stall, as well as SevenEleven near the hotel. Directly next to the right of the hotel is Starbucks, Black Angus Steak, A Pizza/Pasta restaurant, also 7-11, hotdog and kebab booth. There is a facility for washing and drying clothers using paid machine on 6th Floor. Dont have time to try it, but it seems helpful for long time traveler. Overall, it is a value for money hotel, located @Orchard Road and price is still reasonable.
