Having stayed and top hotels around the world Nancy is one of the most gracious and attentive receptionist I have had the privilege to meet. From our first contact I knew the quality of service we could expect. We stayed in two deluxe rooms in the Orchard Tower. They were meticulously clean and nicely appointed. The bathrooms have a unique feature which is a translucent print that brings light from the bedroom in during the day and is illuminated in the evening when the bathroom lights on on. The large flat screen television has a range of options for entertainment, dining and information after you move past the personalized welcome greeting. A nice touch is that it is volume limited which assures that adjacent rooms are not blasted with television sounds. A welcome consideration I wish other hotels would adopt. One of my personal criteria for a great hotel is the quality of the shower and bath and both are superb here. I love a strong shower and this was one of the best anywhere I have stayed. I chose the Mandarin Orchard primarily for its central location in the middle of Orchard Road across from Takashimaya, Ngee Ann City, Paragon and close to Somerset 313 and Somerset MRT with some of the best shopping in the world. This is a shoppers paradise but not for the faint of cash or credit! The location is enhanced by the 4 levels of shops, restaurants and boutique grocer to peruse and choose gourmet snacks and beverages. As with other top hotels dining is superb with many selections and pricey. We ate at Chatterbox for breakfast and Triple Three for the evening buffet which I most highly recommend as one of the best anywhere. Our experience was virtually flawless from check-in to check-out. Kudos for consistent excellence!

Since it's a one way street you can get out each time in the stop you like. * The room - small as most rooms in Singapore hotels but designed very smart and functional! we felt like in a space-ship with cool view on the city skyline. * facilities - 10th floor is Amazing! the gym is very good and new! The restaurant is amazing with very good prices. We got a 50% discount for breakfast for choosing to eat only fruits and veges in the morning :) kitchen is open till 22:30 and we used to get nice evening vegan fruit and veges salad that was adjusted for us! At first I'm unsure to stay at this hotel because there's no extra bed options at agoda or their own website. You have to contact them directly after making a booking to booked the extra bed and pay them separately from you room booking. They provided a "handy phone" that you can bring everywhere in Singapore during you stay, to make local and international phone calls, browse the internet,etc The check in and out:is a breeze, just make sure you have all your occupants passports, and around 300 SGD or you CC for deposit. The room: enough room to move around for 3 adults. The beds and pillows are comfy. They provide kettle, refrigerator, flat tv, a docking station for an old ipod/iphone (should be updated to the new lightning though), 3 electrical sockets, bathrobes, and an ironing board with smoothing iron. The luggage rack is small and doesn't look sturdy enough to put our luggage on it,just open our luggage on the floor. The bathroom: is spacious. They provide bathtub and shower next to each other. There's a mounted vanity mirror and hairdryer. The amenities is standard but replaced everyday. The negatives are the see-through glass from the bathroom to the bedroom, even after we put on the blinds, we still got lights from around it, so the room is not as dark as we want it. The sound of the water drainage is a bit scary and the sink drainage is slow. The breakfast:is decent. No fancy or a huge varieties of food. The taste is ok. The varieties is almost the same everyday. Could be boring for long term staying. The housekeeping:is doing a great job at cleaning the room. Thanks a lot to the cleaning crews at the 9th floor from August 13 to 18 2015 who did a splendid job and ease our staying there. The best thing about this hotel is the location which is at the center of Orchard Road, just across Ngee Ann City, The Paragon, Mandarin Gallery. The only downside that we experience is the location of the lobby is at the 4th floor.

It's a great location for those who wants to shop at Singapore's best shopping location: Paragon, Tangs, Takashimaya, Ngee Ann City and other great stores. This hotel is in the best location if you want to be near Orchard Road. It was right in the middle of orchard road but slightly further back so its away from the noisy busy streets of orchard road. Judging from most of the cheap hotels online it was a gamble to take this hotel since it didn't have much of feedback and most of the 3 star hotels around the area were given really horrible feedback. When we got to the hotel the lobby was clean and spacious and most importantly the staff were all smiles and friendly. But wait til we see the room since we specifically asked for non-smoking rooms. Guess what, it was bigger than expected and the tub was clean. Whew! The carpet and linen were clean, the bathrooms were spic and span and we even got hot water. Everything was in working condition and we even had a fridge and a safety deposit box. I'd say this is the best 3 star hotel I've seen so far and I'd go back there anytime.

i choose this hotel mainly because its location – nearby orchid road and close to mrt station. just 5 minutes by walk you can arrive at ion and ngee ann city. for the ones who like to go shopping, i doubt there’s better option with lower price. just across the street you can find a food court in far east plaza, where you can find various choice of food which provides y...i choose this hotel mainly because its location – nearby orchid road and close to mrt station. just 5 minutes by walk you can arrive at ion and ngee ann city. for the ones who like to go shopping, i doubt there’s better option with lower price. just across the street you can find a food court in far east plaza, where you can find various choice of food which provides you an economical choice if you do not want to spend too much in a fancy restaurant every night. moreover, i find its service is one of best among all the hotels i had even been in 20 countries. i am not just talking about free mini bar – although it helps as well – the most impressive thing is how touching the staff could be, especially the ones rom concierge. i definitely would choose royal plaza on scotts again if the budget allows; after all, their service is something you can hardly find in any other hotel in the world. i sincerely hope that agoda can try to make its own service close to the level of royal plaza on scotts, and maybe agoda should send someone over there to benchmark it. in terms of hardware, it is not the best hotel in town; for example, i would prefer the hotels with better swimming pool and gym. nonetheless, i truthfully thank all the hotel staff for giving me a unique experience in staying here.

This road has multiple bus stops. Get yourself a 3-days Singapore Tourist Pass for unlimited trips to MRT & Public busses. Both have a/c so thats a relieve in 35C temp during the day. The hotel has a Tour Desk where as i suggest using Klook app to book at activities ranging from Universal Studio, Sentosa fun pass, Zoo, Night Safari, Gardens by the bay, bird sanctuary etc. This way you will not need to stand in ticket lines. Just book and show the online receipt to the gate keepers who will let you in :) do visit asian museum on Raffles stop, Fullerton road for Merlion. Good quality shopping is available at Bugis Junction (Bugis stop via MRT and exit towards Bugis Junction). Do not goto Little India, its very dirty and a mall there with the name of Al Mustafa Center (although cheap) but has terrible / poor quality products. You will be disappointed. Visit East Coast bay near Marina bays for a quite beach spot. Good for camping. On your way out to Airport, book a taxi via Grab Ap and it will cost you a max of $17 SGD till terminal 4 airport. Upon arrival, get a $15 SGD sim from Klook app It will give you 100GB worth 4G internet And free calls to last you easily 8-10 days even. Pick up point at Cheers store on level 2. Use mini bus to reach your hotel. It will cost you $SGD 9 per person with a travel time of 25-30mins. Booking stand is location at last level. They charge credit card and d

Singapore is generally expensive, but there are three places I would think to stay as what I would call acceptable Singapore budget hotels. Skip it in favor of Starbucks or McDonalds 300 meters away on Orchard Road. The facilities are limited to what I would call Asian three star standard, but you can go next door to the Shangrila if you need a nice upscale meeting place, etc. (burgers at the top-floor Shangrila Blu Bar are tastiest in Singapore in my opinion, if expensive). My second most favorite is the Ft Canning Lodge, a YWCA affiliate closer to the Clarke Quay and Parliament neighborhood. The breakfast is acceptable there, but the laundromat facilities are not as good as RELC. My third most favorite, a step down and which I typically only book if RELC or the Ft Canning Lodge are unavailable, are a couple of backpackers' hostels on Hong Kong Street, which have a few private rooms with shared bathroom facilities. If cost is a concern the hostel rooms are cheaper, but the trade off is that the bathroom facilities are shared (and the laundromat facilities are also below RELC or the Ft Canning Lodge). Hong Kong Street is well placed close to Boat Quay and the Parliament areas. I think there are two of the different chain hostels on Hong Kong Street, running under different names, but both have a few private rooms.

Check in was swift. Our room was in a lower floor but the city view was fine. We like the room because it was not small. Its clean and mattress was comfy. Will come back in the future.

This boutique hotel with colonial charm, is very different and low key compared to the big city hotels in bustling Singapore, as it is situated in a lovely park in an historical building. The room is tastefully decorated, with the original balcony incorporated into the room to take advantage of the views. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. We were there last weekend and, though my wife's birthday was a few days earlier, the hotel gave her a birthday card and a piece of delicious chocolate mousse cake - nice touch! It’s a convenient location, as a short walk takes you to the Doby Ghaut MRT station and if you don't mind the heat and humidity, you can walk to places like Orchard Road and Clark Quay. The evening drinks event for guests is another nice touch. Two nice swimming pools, but unfortunately the Italian restaurant has relocated. One small quibble is that a hotel of this calibre should provide bathrobes for their guests.

my husband & i booked shang ri hotel to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary and informed them of the event. we only booked the tower wing deluxe with no breakfast for 3 days and 2 nights. when we arrived there, we were told that we were upgraded to horizon club inclusive of free breakfast for our whole stay as the hotel’s anniversary gift for us. wow! that was tot...my husband & i booked shang ri hotel to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary and informed them of the event. we only booked the tower wing deluxe with no breakfast for 3 days and 2 nights. when we arrived there, we were told that we were upgraded to horizon club inclusive of free breakfast for our whole stay as the hotel’s anniversary gift for us. wow! that was totally amazing!!! we were really happy and we really enjoyed our stay there plus we are surrounded with friendly and smiling staffs. we also love the time we stayed in the pool for the whole day to relax and swim as staff were serving us juice, ice cream, smoothies. it was totally relaxing being served with freebies. we also tried playing golf and its free. my hubby & i really enjoyed our room as well as it is so big and we were given the best view overseeing the pool and the city. then on the night of our wedding celebration, hotel gave us a small wedding anniversary cake as complimentary gift. really amazed how they treat their guests with delight! we highly recommend this hotel to all our friends and to all of you reading this post.

The location is the main part of my review. The locations is a bit far from the central orchard (takasimaya, paragon, etc) require about 3-5 minute walk via underpass to there. A bit far from me because the last time i stay in mandarin orchard (this hotel is centrally located). I think the room is a bit small compare to other hotel that i've been stayed in singapore. Other than that the service and staff are hilton standard, whiches a good one. One of the restaurant at the hotel are claimed one of the 50th best restaurant in the world by the brochure in the hotel. Oh by the way it doesn't have free wi-fi whiches disappointing and one time i take a shower the water heater is not working like it supposed to do (only slightly warm compare from the other time i used the shower)

The brunch at Le Brezza was very good too, they have really nice and fresh seafood, best oysters we ever had. On the downside, we found the spread for the evening cocktail very limited. And I craved for ice cream and called the personal butler to find out what flavor ice creams they had, however, they couldn't tell me and I was only told 'seasonal flavors'. Nevertheless, this wouldn't stop me from going back to St.Regis again. We were very satisfied with our stay overall. Oh, not to forget, they upgraded us to a better room and arranged for late check-out without us asking for it even. Great value-added service! Two thumbs-up! Highly recommended.

If you expect a Four Seasons (or Regent) experience, you will be disappointed. The rooms also can be a bit smelly (old airco system / old building syndrome) when you enter the room. It might be rated no more than average. We had a very good sleep. We give the bed 9 out of 10 points. And the room rate was very competitive. At the moment of our stay it even was the sharpest rate among the affordable five stars (Conrad, Pan Pacific, Meritus Mandarin, Fairmont, Swissotel, InterContinental. We always thought staying near Raffles City or the Marina would be better, but we were not disappointed by the location either (shopping). And we think we prefer the old fashioned service above the newcomer wannabes like Westin and Sofitel So. I saw some renovation work on floor 7; the corridors will be upgraded (why not the rooms?). And I suppose the confusing thing about staying in a Four Seasons (the magazine and pen in your room) or a Regent (the booking site) will disappear at sometime in the future.

I'd say that this is the perfect place to stay for any city dwellers looking for a quick getaway; despite being in the city centre, with the famed Orchard Road just less than five minutes' car ride away, it's tucked in a quiet suburb that gives off the impression that you are off somewhere away from the bustling city energy. Albeit being a little on the pricey end of things, the room (The Garden Room) delivers the bare essentials needed for a comfortable stay; it's not too crammed, with a small garden to spare for quick meditative moments in the mornings (not to mention, the swinging chair is perfect for OOTDs!), with geometrically sound open areas in the garden and bathroom. It's a shame that there isn't a proper pool and cafe in the establishment - there are shallow "pools" to dip your feet in after long strolls at the malls, and breakfasts are served in a simple cafe around the corner, but hey, everything else is more than I could ask for, and there are plenty of F&B to patronise in the malls nearby. :)

How many 3 star hotels offer bedroom slippers, hair dryer, a fridge, a safe, and bathroom fittings reminiscent of a 4 or 5 star hotel? My only complaint was the noise from the water outlet in the bathroom. It's about a 400 metres walk on level ground from the train station and the bus stop is just outside the hotel. They have a shuttle to Orchard Road, the Botanic Gar...How many 3 star hotels offer bedroom slippers, hair dryer, a fridge, a safe, and bathroom fittings reminiscent of a 4 or 5 star hotel? My only complaint was the noise from the water outlet in the bathroom. It's about a 400 metres walk on level ground from the train station and the bus stop is just outside the hotel. They have a shuttle to Orchard Road, the Botanic Gardens and also to the train station if one has a lot of luggage. The staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful; especially Mona!

And this hotel was ideal--wonderfully situated for a variety of activities. We especially enjoyed the polished wooden floors, which were cool to the touch, warm to the eye, and always clean. The little interaction we had with the reception staff was always pleasant and efficient, and the bellmen who stored our luggage for us the day we checked out were professional and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was tasty, and offered both some familiar comfort foods and the local delicious cuisine. This is a gem of a hotel for those who want a comfortable and well-situated place to rest.

I was with a group of friends and we stayed at Orchard Parade Hotel for 3 days to experience the Great Singapore Sale. I can say that our experience was satisfactory given the good service, acceptable amenities, the affordable price and the clean and tidy hotel facilities. The only problem I had with the hotel is its location. The only problem I had with the hotel is its location. The nearest MRT station takes a few minutes of walk so that when you ride the MRT from the airport, it was a hassle dragging your luggage to the streets just to reach the hotel. The more popular malls like the Takashimaya, Paragon and Ngee Ann City takes also quite a walk. No problem if you love walking but if it's a summer season and a weekend, be ready with the heat and crowded people. But considering the clean facilities, good service and affordbale price, I still think that this is one of the hotels within the location that offers the best value for money.

We stayed at Sheraton to have a relaxing weekend celebration of my husband's birthday. We booked the room that has direct access to the pool, so our stay in the hotel made us feel that we were in resort. It's a good hotel to book for those who want to have a quick break from the hustle and bustle life in the city. And yet you are still in the heart of the city!
