First of all, this hotel is very luxury at a budget price. Most budget hotels in Thailand have outdated furnishings and wall hangings, but every inch of this hotel is clean, well-maintained, very luxury looking. The staff is outstanding and there is a doorman or other staff about every 20 meters of the hotel. I mention this because I read many horror story reviews on here before we booked the place. I only saw crowds in the reception area when a bus came in (which there were many - its one of the biggest hotels in Bangkok). The breakfast was outstanding. You can eat in the cafe, which has outdoor dining, or the upstairs restaurant. Both have the same food, so it depends if want a city view with your breakfast, or some fresh morning air. The Thai restaurant at the top of the hotel wasn't very impressive. The food was bland and overpriced. We live in Northeast Thailand, so maybe we are spoiled. The best part of the hotel was the room. We stayed in a 3-bedroom suite, which was a mini-apartment. It actually looks like the hotel bought a condo building next door and turned the condos into rooms. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean and new, and there was lots of space. We actually only needed 2-bedrooms, but the upgrade price was so cheap we went with 3-bedrooms. The suites have their own lobby, elevators, and secured parking. If you want to go shopping, which was the primary reason we stayed at this hotel (the kids needed clothes for school), there is a 6-floor fashion mall below the hotel. Its the place to get good, low priced clothes (6th floor has a food court). If you want to save even more money, get up at 3am and walk outside. From 3-6am, the streets around the hotel hold the largest clothes wholesale market in SE Asia. Hundreds of sellers line the streets selling every kind of clothes you can think of. We saved 70% on school clothes this year.

It is located very close to Khaosan Road (5 min walk) in a side street, so there's not a lot of traffic noise and there's even some street food and a lovely cafe right across the street, where you can even choose to spend an evening playing cards and watching children play in the street. The streets around Khaosan Road are also OK for going out, if you don't mind the traveller scene. If you want to do a lot of shopping or going out around Sukhumvit Road, you would be happier with a hotel nearer to Siam Square, because from this part of town the taxi takes an hour to get there. But it's very close to the pier (5 min walk) and you can take the Chao Praya River Express to the temples and the Palace (be careful to get off really quickly or you will miss your stop!). The hotel provides very good service throughout, a reasonable breakfast buffet and a very nice and helpful team of tour guides to organize trips in or around the city. The rooms are tastefully decorated and clean, the beds are reasonably comfortable for Thai beds (which are always on the hard side). So overall I must say we were very happy with our choice and we can recommend it without reservations.

There is a 7/11, tourist agencies, bars/restaurants, massages, and shopping stalls all around. The hotel is also located near several palaces/temples, in fact it is across the street from Wat Chana Songkhram, a temple, which I did not visit but would recommend anyone go see. The hotel is on a quiet street, and walking distance to Khao San Road, which is hectic, loud, packed and very fun, but I wouldn't recommend a stay in that area, as it gets super noisy, so Rambuttri Village Hotel is an excellent choice in terms of area. Mind you, this is more of a backpacker's realm, so you won't find yourself near the huge shopping malls/districts and luxurious hotels that Bangkok offers. Taxis are always around, and there are tuk-tuks all over. Beware of overpriced rides/scams though. You can and should ask how much before you take a ride from anyone (tuk-tuk, taxi, private water boat, not including the public water taxis, those are really cheap) and bargain with them. The hotel is also about 5 minutes walk from Phra Athit Express Boat Pier (13). It can be tricky to find but if you Google map it you'll find it. Water taxis are an excellent way to get around Bangkok. Check-out was quick and easy. They have 24 hour taxi services to the airport and can have one ready for you within 10 minutes of you checking out for 500 baht or roughly $15US. Overall, I would recommend Rambuttri Village Hotel (Inn) to anyone who is looking for a more down-to-earth, nitty-gritty experience in Bangkok. If you like the lap of luxury and high end shopping, this hotel/area is not for you.

For the price paid, we don't expect too much of a good service although they certainly could improve on the standard if they want to. Among all the front office staff, only one younger bloke spoke pretty good English and he was also friendlier and more helpful. Given the location, it's a good starting point to walk to the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, amulet market or to hop on the boat from the Phra Athit Pier and off in some other tourist attractions like Wat Arun, China town or Asiatique.

We booked this hotel because we wanted to be relatively close to the tourist attractions and the nightlife of Khao San road, but not too close. It's a lovely modern hotel with some traditional Thai touches. The courtyard is open and you can hear the traffic from the busy road near the swimming pool. We were out all day and most of the night anyways. We liked the breakfast. It is a small hotel so they don't have a huge amount of options but it was more than enough for my husband and me. They have bread, fresh jam, yogurt, cornflakes, different kinds of fruit, small sandwiches, and several hot dishes that change daily. They have tea, coffee and juice and you can also order a fried egg, scrambled egg or omelette with different toppings.

Good location , upon arrival we were upgraded for free to the premium room. This hotel is right in the middle of Khaosan road, straight outside of the hotel are many places to eat and drink including local street food. There is a rooftop pool which we did not use but you can see views of the grand palace from up there. Room was cleaned daily. Cable tv with various channels to cater for all nationalities. complimentary water provided each day. Mini Bar (chargable but very cheap) ... there is also a mini-mart right at the hotel enterance. There is a coffee shop in the hotel reception area which also sells breakfast and snacks very reasonably priced and tasty! Depending where your room is facing you may hear the noise of music etc from the road - however if you are staying on Khaosan road you have to expect this ... plus the cocktails sold outside help you to sleep!! The only bad point about this hotel was the shower - it was more of a wet room with just a curtain so the floor tends to get a bit wet... overall this was a minor issue.

KSR is party central, and foreigners here are in abundance! It is alot of fun staying along this road, and Dang Derm Hotel offers escape from the busyness of it all. The Greens and Cheese restaurant was good, and offered a large selection of Western food as well as local cousine. On the whole the local food is better and much cheaper! On arrival we got 10% off coupons for every meal we had at that restaurant. The room was quite large and comfortable! The air-con worked fantastically, the bathroom was lovely and big and all electronics worked without any problems. The picture displayed in the Agoda Add, was the exact replica of our room, so we were pleased that we got what we paid for. Hotel staff were very friendly and offered us help with all our queries. The Dang Derm Hotel appeared to be one of the best hotels along KSR and we were so happy with our choice of accomodation.

Anyway we could park as we arrived without any problem. It'd been the only inconvenient. Then I could appreciate everything about the hotel. It's clean, comfortable, with a nice design, good breakfast, and the staff is kind and helpful. The price is a bit more expensive then others hotel in the area but I think is a good relation quality-price! It's close to Khaosan road, but far enough to be very quiet at night then I could sleep peacefully. If you aren't looking for a hotel with SPA or swimming pool and near Khaosan/Grand Palace this can be a perfect hotel for you.

To get there, we took the sky train from the suvarnabhumi airport to the last stop at Phaya Thai and then took a meter taxi from there. The taxi driver wanted to charge us 300 baht but we insisted on using the meter which ended up costing us about 100 baht (about $3). There is a big sign on the road to help you and your driver know where to turn. If you are in Bangkok for just 1 night I would suggest staying somewhere off of the sky train. Otherwise- I'd recommend Chillax.

The ride took about 45 minutes to the hotel from the airport even though it was late evening/light traffic. We selected this hotel because they have two bedroom suites. Most hotels in Thailand we found only offer accommodations for four people max. So we were glad to find accommodations where the four of us could be all together. We also chose this hotel for the five star rating, affordable price, and the cool pool bar restaurant. The two bedroom suite was great. It was spacious and comfortable. We spent one night here upon arriving to Thailand, traveled to Chiang Mai and Phuket and then returned back to Bangkok. We found that the beds here were the most comfortable ones that we slept on during our entire trip. That said, the beds are still harder than beds back home. But compared to the other two hotels in Thailand that we stayed at, the beds here were by far the softest.

Room: we paid for a superior room which was lovely, the key you are given activates the lights and aircon, thus meaning the Aircon had not been on the room was around 30*c when we entered. Just like opening an oven door. Mini bar is quite expensive. Water is provided which is a great touch considering the humidity outside. Milk or creamer is not provided so we had to go and buy milk so we could have a cup of tea in the morning. Room service: ordered this on our second night after a full day of exploring, couldn't face going out. All I can say is amazing!! Ordered and arrived very quick, very reasonably priced for room service. Breakfast: our booking included breakfast, this is served between 6:30-10 in the main restaurant, good variety of food served from bacon and eggs to Thai curries etc. Wide selection of fruit. Only down side is that you don't get served anything, 3 members of staff stood behind bar but you have to do up and get your own coffee milk etc, I know you serve yourself at buffet for food but never stayed in hotel where you get your own coffee!! Coffee was very rarely ready and I feel it's not only me but coffee is the most important thing in the morning. Should I return to Bangkok I would stay at this hotel again.

When I arrived it turned out that my booking was mixed up somehow, instead of one bed for us the request on their end said two beds. No idea why, my PDF booking said one large bed. Then they asked my wife if her name was Jennifer (it's not). Later had my wife asking "Who's Jennifer?" The water was never hot, just warm. When I asked the cleaning lady to give my wife and me 2 minutes, she said okay and just never cleaned the room. The sound on the TV didn't work for 2 days, after the first day a maintenance man was sent to check it but I have no idea what came of that because when we returned that day it still wasn't working. All and all, we loved our stay.

Kind of annoying but we found this standard unless you are at a fancy hotel/resort where there are more western style showers- But good water pressure/hot water- excellent rooftop pool/showers/bathroom- We used on our last day and they held our bags for us for the day (20 baht/day) since we had a late departure out of Bangkok- Just outside of reception is a adorable coffee shop- some of the best i had in Bangkok- and delicious breakfast sandwiches/fruit- 7-11 also right there for any other needs as well- If you are looking to stay on Khao San Road this is absolutely the place!!! 100% recommended

Reception asked for baht deposit however I offered to keep my passport with them and they agreed instead of the money. There is a money changer right adjacent to the lobby, gives good rates and on the other side there is seven-11, what else you need ? Lots of street food across the street, too mnay options and all very cheap. Phra Atit pir in chao praya river was only 7-5 mins walk. Overall good value for money, the room was not that big as it seems from the picture, however good enough size. A/C worked well, and silently. There is a pool on the top floor however didnt have a chance to dip in it, but looked ok. Room was cleaned everyday on time and fresh towels provided, definitely would stay again here:)

I hate to give a positive review because more people will stay here. Best mattresses I've found on Khao San road. The secret is out. The pool is nice. Breakfast is across the street at Dang Derm. make sure you get your tickets at the front desk in the morning . Best mattresses I've found on Khao San road. The secret is out. The pool is nice. Breakfast is across the street at Dang Derm. make sure you get your tickets at the front desk in the morning . Don't act like arrogant Eurotrash when you're checking in. we know you've had a long flight, your mosquito bites are itchy and your butt is sore. Realize these employees have to deal with 100s of people everyday. Being pleasant will get you much further than not. Don't deal with the Indian tailor right outside the door. His name is David and he is a thief and his clothes are inferior.

We have been pleasantly surprised by the Trang Hotel. The staff is nice, including the cleaning ladies. They always smile. We booked the superior room, but have been upgraded to premium superior. The price through Agoda is very good value for money. A big and deep swimming, with barely anyone inside. We swam many times alone. The breakfast is included, there are asian food (rice and noodles) and continental food (bread, jam, butter, ham, sausage, eggs), there are also orange juice (not that great) and tea and coffee. It is not super good food, but correct enough to give you a boost at the start of the day. The premium superior rooms have balcony with view on the garden, so quiet during the night. We can hear the people having breakfast in the morning, but not annoying. The other rooms have view i believe outside, but not sure. Flat TV screen with USB plug, if you fancy a film. Nice bathroom with hot shower. Plenty of storage. I haven't seen the standard nor the superior rooms, but i would recommend the premiums. We feel at home ! The wifi works well too, and you can even work on your laptop near the swimming pool The Khao San road (tourists road) is 10 min walk, and there are buses which goes straight to Hualamphong train station. Shame there is no BTS or MRT station nearby, but if you are 2 or more, it is worth to take the taxi cost wise anyway. So glad with this hotel that we will come back next week but this time with my parents-in-law and I will update their opinion on Agoda

Only 30seconds to wat bowonniet to do pindapatta to about 100 Bhante Sangha. Khaosan road only 2-4minutes walk. Food & shopping are all around within seconds! Recommended for those don’t mind to sleep at crowd music / bass sound until 2 am midnight. Almost Everything can be found here and pretty affordable cheap price. Rambuttri is a mix of restaurants and bars and this hotel has rooms that overlook the road. We had a rock band playing til 3am close to our room, so ear plugs were needed. Nice, clean well priced hotel though and lovely staff. But note it’s a chain and there are two more villa cha cha hotels nearby. One more on rambuttri (bungalampoo) , which is 150m away,, has a pool...Rambuttri is a mix of restaurants and bars and this hotel has rooms that overlook the road. I'd say this place exceeded my expectations, I've stayed in some boutique hotels which, while having great decor and facilities, still feel like a "hotel". But the atmosphere and staff at Bangkok Publishing Residence give you a very cozy and intimate feeling, while the overall decor and amenities feel luxurious but not pretentious. I especially love the rooftop gar...I'd say this place exceeded my expectations, I've stayed in some boutique hotels which, while having great decor and facilities, still feel like a "hotel". But the atmosphere and staff at Bangkok Publishing Residence give you a very cozy and intimate feeling, while the overall decor and amenities feel luxurious but not pretentious. I especially love the rooftop garden where they grow the most delicious salad I've had in years! I'll surely comeback the next time I'm in Bangkok!

totally clean..friendly & helpfull staffs(all of them that i met). a little problem when i arrive at 11 PM and they can't find my booking number..still wondering how could my booking not listed. luckily i saw my name on their booking file (in a clear holder)! but anyway, staff on duty was really really helpful. We can find street food nearby by walkng 5min, grand pal...totally clean..friendly & helpfull staffs(all of them that i met). a little problem when i arrive at 11 PM and they can't find my booking number..still wondering how could my booking not listed. luckily i saw my name on their booking file (in a clear holder)! but anyway, staff on duty was really really helpful. We can find street food nearby by walkng 5min, grand palace & watpho can be reached just about 10min by taxi or tuktuk. location is quite easy to find. Golden mount temple just 15min walking (and it is a beautiful temple!) the only thing i can complain from this hotel is no slippers at room. overall, it was a really nice stay and worth it!

The hotel has really good vibes and looks good, I was hanging around the their restaurant for hours and having drinks. Really good breakfast, not typical for Thailand. I really like to walk down Phra Athit road, it is just on the river, and there is a cool park there to chill out.
