we loved this place! solid resort but the best was just the scenery. take an entire day to just walk around the railey area - diamond cave, east railey, monkeys, phra nang cave, rock climbing, etc. it seems like most people never left the resort's beach and missed out on a lot. don't miss the difficult climb up the ropes to the scenic overlook (just ask someone). ...we loved this place! solid resort but the best was just the scenery. take an entire day to just walk around the railey area - diamond cave, east railey, monkeys, phra nang cave, rock climbing, etc. it seems like most people never left the resort's beach and missed out on a lot. don't miss the difficult climb up the ropes to the scenic overlook (just ask someone). it's hard but worth it. we stayed three nights but could have spent more. i'd skip staying on ko phi phi don and just take a day trip to ko phi phi ley from railey. same goes for ao nang - just take longboats in for shopping and dinner but stay in railey (unless you're a 20-ish partier). railey was the best place on the 'beach leg' of our vacation.

It's the last resort on the stretch, situated a bit higher up than most, and comes with a lovely balcony with an unobstructed view, within sight of the ocean past all the foliage. The resort is private yet only a short walking distance to amenities and the attractions of pristine beaches and cliffs and caves. Great food, cocktails and hammocks at Tew Lay, then further to Railay East there's Joy Pizza (addictive thin crust pizza and cheap but good cocktails) and other bars and restaurants. Railay West is nearby, with more touristy shops and beach. Best beach is Phra Nang, a smaller and more secluded spot. All in all, a lovely and romantic getaway spot ideal for those on a budget, seeking a modern, relaxing and fuss-free getaway on paradise beaches.

Sunrise Tropical is a fabulous resort and I couldn’t recommend it more. The staff go above and beyond, the villa was luxurious and very clean and there were adorable monkeys every day in the trees above my villa. I strongly advise booking the hotel transport round trip from the airport and you won’t have to drag your bag through the sand or down a long floating bridge....Sunrise Tropical is a fabulous resort and I couldn’t recommend it more. The A/C was excellent in the room, and they will set up a mosquito net if needed. Short walk to Railay West or Phra Nang Cave. East beach is not really for swimming (muddier) so jump in the pool. Outdoor shower in the villa was fun too! Fresh towels every day, room always spotless and in April there were no bugs (some mosquitos but it’s the jungle). If you climb, it’s a short walk to dozens of crags! Quiet at night because the party is on the West beach! The 8.1 rating sold this resort to me on Agoda and did NOT disappoint!

We were skeptical at first, after previously reading some negative reviews about this newly constructed Resort Spa Hotel (just 1 year old). As it turn out, the location, friendly staff, room, services etc. was exactly what we wanted for a relaxing 2 week vacation. We arrived actually at 6pm at the Krabi airport after sunset (at night), we had booked our transfer direct...We were skeptical at first, after previously reading some negative reviews about this newly constructed Resort Spa Hotel (just 1 year old). As it turn out, the location, friendly staff, room, services etc. was exactly what we wanted for a relaxing 2 week vacation. We arrived actually at 6pm at the Krabi airport after sunset (at night), we had booked our transfer directly with the hotel. A staff member from the Hotel greeted us to assure the safety of our night transfer by van, motorcycle (tuk tuk) then longtail boat to the resort . It went quickly and smooth, no muddy wet feet experience. Upon arrival the check in was fast and we were then shown to our spacious and well designed 3rd floor balcony room. The hotel is located on Railay East Beach facing mangrove and not on white sands, but, this was no bother to us when the Railey beaches (Railay West, Phra Nang and Ton Sai) were just minutes away by walking. Fortunately, for us we had no issue with noise coming from further down the beach, we slept perfectly well. The grounds of the Resort picturesque in a relax atmosphere, great pool area & spa. Although, while staying on Railay Beach, unfortunately my husband experienced a little intoxication after eating at one of the restaurant’s on the beach, luckily it lasted only 2 days. As far as eating at the hotel we had no problems, only at Breakfast, they should serve fresh fruit juices and not artificial drinks. And, It would help if the staff could better their English. Overall we do recommend Bhu Nga Thani and do wish to revisit again.

we enjoyed our time in railay. the good -phra nang beach in the morning and evening (sunsets) -west railay beach -nice comfortable rooms we stayed at the pool view 2027. -day tours around phi phi. we especially liked bamboo island. -helpful staff members. we became good friends with max (a bell boy) he helped us a lot know about places and things to do. he even join...we enjoyed our time in railay. the good -phra nang beach in the morning and evening (sunsets) -west railay beach -nice comfortable rooms we stayed at the pool view 2027. -day tours around phi phi. we especially liked bamboo island. -helpful staff members. we became good friends with max (a bell boy) he helped us a lot know about places and things to do. he even joined us in kayaking as my wife was a bit scared of doing it. if you see max - tell him you read about him from kevin and nana. -longtail food sellers at phra nang beach - look for a guy called barack. very friendly and great food.if you see barack - tell him you read about him from kevin and nana. -find the monkeys near phra nang beach caves. -kayaking,snorkelling. great fun. the 'could be improved' -hotel service - cleaners sometimes need reminding of replacing items e.g. shower gel. not a big problem. -occasional bad smell in bathroom. -power outage every now and then. -mosquitoes - but it is thailand so that's expected. -breakfast buffet-go early otherwise some of the food is covered by small flies. food was okay. -tv- limited channels and variety-but who cares about tv. overall this resort was a delightful place to relax and unwind. we really enjoyed the beaches.

Ate this for lunch every day we were in Railay -Phra Nang cave is about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel and you need to see it! Easily the most beautiful part of Railay, and there's a beach just past the caves that is gorgeous as well SUMMARY: loved our stay here, Railay is so beautiful, and this hotel is located perfectly so that you can explore the beaches and caves!

My family and I stayed in one of the Superior Cottages at Railay Phutawan Resort for 5 nights over the Chinese New Year holiday. Our cottage had plenty of room for two adults + one extra bed for our daughter. The first night our AC wasn't working, but they had it fixed by the next day. Never had any problems in our room after that. Basics were provided in the bathroom and one bottle of free water was provided for each person every day of our stay. Our cottage was #1210, right next to the offices and pool area, so we really had no view to speak of. Many of the other cottages have better views, so be sure to request one of those if it matters to you. On the plus side, I think our location spared us some of the bug issues others have mentioned in their reviews! We enjoyed the resort's buffet breakfast each morning and appreciated that it remained open from 7:30am to 11am, for those mornings we wanted to sleep in. (Breakfast is better the earlier you go, though!) The food available stayed mostly the same for our whole stay, but it was hot, tasty, and filling so we didn't mind. Despite going over a holiday, the resort didn't feel particularly crowded and we were always able to find a lounger by the pool when we wanted to go. Speaking of the pool, it's a huge selling point for the resort. The view is incredible, but there is also zero shade there, so going earlier or later in the day is more comfortable. If you're up early enough, sunrise is quite pretty from the pool area or the deck above the resort's offices! It's a pretty good walk to the beaches - Railay West and Phra Nang - and Walking Street where many restaurants are, but the pay-off of being so far from the busy areas is that it's super quiet here. We never heard anything except roosters from our cottage, so sleep quality was great! Be mindful on the path leading past Diamond Cave to the resort, though - the monkeys are always watching and waiting to g

The location is on the East Side of Railay, but that is only a few minute walk to West Railay. The flip side of that is that the Cave Beach (Phra Nang) was easier to access from East than West. The location is on the East Side of Railay, but that is only a few minute walk to West Railay. The flip side of that is that the Cave Beach (Phra Nang) was easier to access from East than West. Restaurants are all very close, and the one attached to the hotel was fantastic from the breakfast buffet, to the lunch specials. The airport transfer service from the hotel was easy and painless. The drivers (van and boat) were attentive to the fact we had small children with us. The thing that stood out the most was the staff. As we checked out and hit the beach one final time before our departure, they made sure to let us know they could provide us a room to shower and freshen up before our flight. We indeed took advantage of that before our airport transfer. In addition, we forgot our swimsuits to dry in our room so we immediately called the hotel to have them recover them. They did, and made sure to get them to another individual we knew in the area to bring them to us. Overall, I would highly recommend this resort to anyone going to Railay!

The place is very beautiful, the house exists in the middle of the nature, you can hear the sound of the birds and the sea. The cabin has the essential, modest but beautiful natural bamboo house. This side of railay don't have beach, but you are from 15mins walking to railay beach. I prefer the phra nang cave beach is more close and more beautiful. The bathroom only have hot water, but is so hot for me was ok.

We arrived 11 pm to Ao Nang beach and because of Ramadan were told we couldn’t get a boat. This we rented hotel room there and arrived the next day. When we got there they said no problem and just switched the start date of our 4 night stay so we didn’t lose a day. Very helpful and very friendly. Restaurant on site was significantly cheaper than other places we checked as well so that was a bonus.

Booked one night stay and picked Rapala as it was the best rated hotel in our budget. Bungalow was charming although I agree with some of the other reviews...the bathroom wasn’t the best. We also had lunch at the restaurant which was surprisingly good. Vegetarian options for every meat dish which is always good and the prices were on the cheaper side. Would recommen...Booked one night stay and picked Rapala as it was the best rated hotel in our budget. There are four large bungalows and five small ones. The whole place is run by a guy. He's a really great guy. You can talk to him about anything from customer service to acupuncture to conspiracy theories about air pollution and genetic splicing. His English isn't the best, but he's certainly hospitable and offers food and coffee every morning. I don't recommend bookin...There are four large bungalows and five small ones. There are over a dozen places to stay on Tonsai Beach, and most are not on Agoda. If you're not staying during the high-season, you can find rooms for as little as $5/night, including here at Sai-Ngam. It's the farthest resort from Tonsai Beach before you start walking to Railey, but it makes for a great experience. It's up a big hill so it's 10-15 minutes from the beach, depending on which way you're heading. Nonetheless, it's a great place! So, if you're not afraid of a few bumps in the night, this is definitely the place to stay, unplug, enjoy the wildlife, and save a few dollars in the process. Fan and electricity during generator hours (common practice) between 6pm and 1am, mosquito net, toilets and showers, decent beds, and sheets laundered on site.

One of the best Backpackers I've ever stayed in (Don't let the staircase to the sky scare you) I've travelled and stayed in a lot of backpackers.. Blancos has definitely got it right. There's a mixture of different age groups and nationalities and the staff are very hard working and pretty awesome. It is known as a party hostel, however all party is often taken out of the hostel itself after 10pm and you can choose wether to join in or not, no one will try to persuade you. I stayed for 6 days and never once did any party wake me up. There was a pretty yukky incident that did disturb my stay one night in the dorm but that is to be expected. The incident was dealt with discreetly, professionally and extremely efficiently as soon as staff were made aware of the incident. Thank you Blancos staff for an awesome Budget, fun and memorable stay.. how i would love to be there now
