This was our 2nd hotel on this overall trip. My wife wanted one that provided close proximity to Sanam Luang so she could pay respect to the King. The hotel is very large and quite old, really needs to be refurbished. We drove our car and used GPS which took us to what GPS said was the entrance, but it wasn't. You have to go and park in a Public Parking garage adja...This was our 2nd hotel on this overall trip. My wife wanted one that provided close proximity to Sanam Luang so she could pay respect to the King. The hotel is very large and quite old, really needs to be refurbished. We drove our car and used GPS which took us to what GPS said was the entrance, but it wasn't. You have to go and park in a Public Parking garage adjacent to the Hotel, which reserved the 8-10 floors for hotel guest parking. Parking was at Tower B, but to checkin you had to go to the elevators up to the 11th floor (or if you were smart, to the 10th and located the direct entrance to the hotel w/o using the elevator.- There were no signs indicating that.) You then had to walk through the 'maize', go out to the courtyard, pass the pool into the main building, around the corner pass their elevators to check-in, which was back in the corner-hard to find. Here you need to get your parking garage receipt stamped, provide a key deposit of 1,000 baht and we had to go to Tower B up to the 20th floor to our room. Breakfast was in the main building up a set of stairs. The buffet was average, quite a bit of food. The omelette was the best, toast, coffee, and quite a few Thai dishes. Some fresh fruit was available. The room was average, the bed had to be designed to be 2 twin beds even though we had a king, there was a hard line down the middle. The shower had a plastic curtain that was used extensively so not fresh. NO IN-ROOM WIRELESS AVAILABLE. I would rate this hotel as only a GOOD. there are many better ones throughout Bangkok.

This hotel is new and I am happy to say the staff are very helpful and professional. The rooftop pool is small but immaculate and plenty of lounge chairs. Located close to Khao San Road ,street food and restaurants makes this ideal. We booked a room with a canal view,not spectacular view but much better than most outlooks. Breakfast was good,serve from 6.30 which suit...This hotel is new and I am happy to say the staff are very helpful and professional. This is a great value on Agoda. Was one of best hotels I ever stayed in. Breakfast was outstanding. Is a very easy location for touring old Bangkok. Easy walk to the water taxi which is definitely the way to get from here to Grand Palace, Wat Arun and Wat Po. Very short walk to Khao San. Is 1/2 block from nice Khlong for a morning stroll. I have stayed at the Rambuttri Village Hotel many times in the last 11 years. Yes, it is open air, but when travelers are completing their journey & checking in, I think you should provide a few fans to cool them down. I understand the reception area is open so air conditioning is not practical, but most people are too hot, especially if they are waiting to check-in. Help your staff & customers & install cool fans in the reception area. For future customers: Agoda booking is great. Book as many nights as you can via Agoda. If the Rambuttri Village Hotel seems to have run out of rooms after your required nights, dont worry: you can continue your booking, at a similar price via the Rambuttri Reception (before 12.00 Mid-day). The price is the same, so best to book with Agoda - but don't be put off booking if you think you cannot have the time you want - you can! Rambuttri is situated in a great tourist destination,central to Khao San Road area, The Kings Palace, Chao Paya River: not so far from JJ Weekend Market: Siam Paragon (shopping, restaurants & Ice skating). As well as being in Soi Rambuttri with lovely restaurants, bars & shopping. Rambuttri Village Hotel is not noisy in its rooms for Deluxe & Superior. Single Rooms or Twins can be noisy sometimes due to the amount of people traffic. Other rooms can be noisy occasionally due to inconsiderate guests & their door slamming & speaking in the corridors. I recommend the Rambuttri Hotel: it is always a pleasure to return.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much when I was booking to stay right on Khao San road. I was only staying for one night so I wanted to be close to the action of bars, markets and good food. I wouldn't recommend this is you were staying for a week or so, the busyness and haggling could get a bit. However, this was perfect for a short stopover for a couple of nights. Walk down stairs and the street is packed from mid afternoon only getting fuller into the night with food stalls, shopping, massages, and bars. I was surprised with the standard of the interior, this is something I'm fairly particular about. The hotel room was huge with a giant four poster king bed in the middle. Everything was very clean and nice. I had read reviews on this hotel being loud, my room was the very last room in the hallway right on Khao San road. I heard the music start at about 3pm. When I returned for bed at 11 I could hear it quite well but once I popped some ear plugs in, I slept like a baby. I would definitely go back to this hotel. I had such a great experience in bangkok due to booking this hotel in this location.

So, taxi is regularly needed to access shopping areas or other parts of Bangkok. Taxi to MBK shopping mall / skytrain station takes 20 minutes.

Nanda is the nicest hotel we could have found in Bangkok. For a very nice price you get to stay in a calm area but walking distance from khao san and all the buzz... we walked several times, tuk tuk is about 50 baht which is close to nothing. As an architect, I was overwhelmed by the design and beauty of the hotel. Interesting design books in the lobby... A week before...Nanda is the nicest hotel we could have found in Bangkok. A week before staying here we stayed in a 5 star hotel in Sukumvit, which was double the price, in a huge skyscraper, but we enjoyed staying in Nanda wayyyy more. Staff is amazing, helpful, pretty good english ( which is not common in Bangkok). We are coming back to Bangkok this year and we will stay in Nanda again.

The staff were all lovely and incredibly helpful. The massages were on offer when we were there so they we really competitive prices and the location was much more conducive to relaxation (than having a massage on the street nearby). We would definitely book again if heading to Bangkok.

The ride took about 45 minutes to the hotel from the airport even though it was late evening/light traffic. We selected this hotel because they have two bedroom suites. Most hotels in Thailand we found only offer accommodations for four people max. So we were glad to find accommodations where the four of us could be all together. We also chose this hotel for the five star rating, affordable price, and the cool pool bar restaurant. The two bedroom suite was great. It was spacious and comfortable. We spent one night here upon arriving to Thailand, traveled to Chiang Mai and Phuket and then returned back to Bangkok. We found that the beds here were the most comfortable ones that we slept on during our entire trip. That said, the beds are still harder than beds back home. But compared to the other two hotels in Thailand that we stayed at, the beds here were by far the softest.

Room: we paid for a superior room which was lovely, the key you are given activates the lights and aircon, thus meaning the Aircon had not been on the room was around 30*c when we entered. Just like opening an oven door. Mini bar is quite expensive. Water is provided which is a great touch considering the humidity outside. Milk or creamer is not provided so we had to go and buy milk so we could have a cup of tea in the morning. Room service: ordered this on our second night after a full day of exploring, couldn't face going out. All I can say is amazing!! Ordered and arrived very quick, very reasonably priced for room service. Breakfast: our booking included breakfast, this is served between 6:30-10 in the main restaurant, good variety of food served from bacon and eggs to Thai curries etc. Wide selection of fruit. Only down side is that you don't get served anything, 3 members of staff stood behind bar but you have to do up and get your own coffee milk etc, I know you serve yourself at buffet for food but never stayed in hotel where you get your own coffee!! Coffee was very rarely ready and I feel it's not only me but coffee is the most important thing in the morning. Should I return to Bangkok I would stay at this hotel again.

When I arrived it turned out that my booking was mixed up somehow, instead of one bed for us the request on their end said two beds. No idea why, my PDF booking said one large bed. Then they asked my wife if her name was Jennifer (it's not). Later had my wife asking "Who's Jennifer?" The water was never hot, just warm. When I asked the cleaning lady to give my wife and me 2 minutes, she said okay and just never cleaned the room. The sound on the TV didn't work for 2 days, after the first day a maintenance man was sent to check it but I have no idea what came of that because when we returned that day it still wasn't working. All and all, we loved our stay.

Kind of annoying but we found this standard unless you are at a fancy hotel/resort where there are more western style showers- But good water pressure/hot water- excellent rooftop pool/showers/bathroom- We used on our last day and they held our bags for us for the day (20 baht/day) since we had a late departure out of Bangkok- Just outside of reception is a adorable coffee shop- some of the best i had in Bangkok- and delicious breakfast sandwiches/fruit- 7-11 also right there for any other needs as well- If you are looking to stay on Khao San Road this is absolutely the place!!! 100% recommended

So good. I came a day early and the sorted me out the same rate as the agora price, super helpful and friendly. I felt telaxed in a crazy city. They guided me to all restaurants and. Steves cafe is a really must go place to eat when In Bangkok btw. And breakfast was so so good and the explain what everything is and the tradition etc. They even label the table for your room (after asking you what time you'd like breakfast when you arrived at check in). Everything is so easy and they help you and have book for places of interest etc. I was very happy with this place, I highly recommend a stay here!

Everything in Bangkok is cheap and yummy!

They didn't even provide toilet paper on first day, which is another minus. Staffs are nice and there is security guy at the front door.

The hotel is ideally situated for people looking to do sightseeing. The Grand Palace and various temples are within walking distance (or a cheap Tuk Tuk ride). I have just received an email saying I did not pay. This is what I wrote to Agoda Payment was made by Michael cash on desk. Had he not paid he would not have received his key. Nor would he have got his passport back if payment was not made. Please sort this out. The booking was made for Michael Mysiw by me. He paid. I am not responsible for this. I am also very angry at the hotel for saying they would debit my husbands card. Michael had two bookings. Twice they are saying he had not paid. Seems strange as there was a day between both booking. This is unacceptable and I wonder who pocketed the money. Room keys in this hotel are only issued on payment for the room and either a deposit or passport handed in as insurance against damage. Passport was used and returned. Can you please sort this out.

We have been pleasantly surprised by the Trang Hotel. The staff is nice, including the cleaning ladies. They always smile. We booked the superior room, but have been upgraded to premium superior. It is not super good food, but correct enough to give you a boost at the start of the day. The premium superior rooms have balcony with view on the garden, so quiet during the night. We can hear the people having breakfast in the morning, but not annoying. The other rooms have view i believe outside, but not sure. Flat TV screen with USB plug, if you fancy a film. Nice bathroom with hot shower. Plenty of storage. I haven't seen the standard nor the superior rooms, but i would recommend the premiums. We feel at home ! The wifi works well too, and you can even work on your laptop near the swimming pool The Khao San road (tourists road) is 10 min walk, and there are buses which goes straight to Hualamphong train station. Shame there is no BTS or MRT station nearby, but if you are 2 or more, it is worth to take the taxi cost wise anyway. So glad with this hotel that we will come back next week but this time with my parents-in-law and I will update their opinion on Agoda

We booked in for one night and loved it so much we extended our stay. The hotel staff were really helpful and I felt safe that there was a security guard who stayed at reception throughout the night. The rooms were luxurious and I experienced the best night's sleep I had whilst I stayed in Thailand. The location is brilliant, it's 2 minutes from the main activity (Khosan Road)The location to the airport is about 30 minutes drive (between an hour to hour and halfd during rush hour)

let me store my excess baggage when i left for 2 weeks and didn’t charge even though i had agreed to. took care of my booking to Cambodia with no pressure for upgrades or the sale at all , unlike competitors. in fact i wish they booked my train/ boat to Koh Tao as the agent i did book with didn’t reimburse when the transportation from train did not show up at 2 am and ...let me store my excess baggage when i left for 2 weeks and didn’t charge even though i had agreed to. took care of my booking to Cambodia with no pressure for upgrades or the sale at all , unlike competitors. in fact i wish they booked my train/ boat to Koh Tao as the agent i did book with didn’t reimburse when the transportation from train did not show up at 2 am and the boat was scheduled for 6 am. i had to book a hotel and miss my boat then buy additional boat tickets and taxi to pier. when i got no compensation as agreed upon i knew i would only book from villa cha cha next time. and i did.

I'd say this place exceeded my expectations, I've stayed in some boutique hotels which, while having great decor and facilities, still feel like a "hotel". But the atmosphere and staff at Bangkok Publishing Residence give you a very cozy and intimate feeling, while the overall decor and amenities feel luxurious but not pretentious. I especially love the rooftop gar...I'd say this place exceeded my expectations, I've stayed in some boutique hotels which, while having great decor and facilities, still feel like a "hotel". I especially love the rooftop garden where they grow the most delicious salad I've had in years! I'll surely comeback the next time I'm in Bangkok!

totally clean..friendly & helpfull staffs(all of them that i met). a little problem when i arrive at 11 PM and they can't find my booking number..still wondering how could my booking not listed. luckily i saw my name on their booking file (in a clear holder)! but anyway, staff on duty was really really helpful. We can find street food nearby by walkng 5min, grand pal...totally clean..friendly & helpfull staffs(all of them that i met). a little problem when i arrive at 11 PM and they can't find my booking number..still wondering how could my booking not listed. luckily i saw my name on their booking file (in a clear holder)! but anyway, staff on duty was really really helpful. We can find street food nearby by walkng 5min, grand palace & watpho can be reached just about 10min by taxi or tuktuk. location is quite easy to find. Golden mount temple just 15min walking (and it is a beautiful temple!) the only thing i can complain from this hotel is no slippers at room. overall, it was a really nice stay and worth it!

The next best restaurant is called PhukeTurk. Cheap and tasty. The night receptionist is really friendly and welcoming. The rooms perfectly clean and have all the amenities for long stay....
