The Javanese Massage at the lobby opens till 3am and the foot reflexology was great! I took a foot reflexology (45 mins) and shoulder massage (15mins) for RM73. Hotel is linked to KSL mall and there are many shops there including a Tesco! Take the exit out from Tesco and you will find some great street food! Overall the location of hotel is superb and 9.5 stars from me! Only one improvement required : the lifts are always crowded and take a long time ; guess it can’t be helped as it’s a tall building with many floors!

Really worth the money. I think they marked down the price since the hotel is partly renovated. I have stayed for 2 nights in the princess wing for a deluxe room. For those who want to experience a 4-star hotel at an affordable price, I think this is a great place to stay. They still maintained the hospitality and the confortness of the room. I really hope next time I can stay in this hotel with the same affordable price. Owh, btw, the food in the Selasih restaurant on the next building (also owned by the hotel) was really great. The hotel is within walk-in distance to the UTC building (a place where you can find anything especially foods), very near to Bazaar Karat and City Square Mall. For those who bring their own car, you can actually park at 2 places. First, at the car park next building (where I parked my car, however, the road is really narrow). Second, is at the basement car park just in front of the hotel lobby (where I only notice it in the morning before check-out).

The pool view room window is way too close for comfort with the opposite apartment, literary can see into each others room clearly. The in room safe is not mounted down to something, and its lightweight enough for a teenager to just pick up the safe. For a 5 star hotel, these can be improve upon. The toilet mini soap holder and cup is the transpatent plastic type, which agian; for a 5 star hotel seems kinda odd. Pool is kinda small but nice, because its not always pack; so one can enjoy by the pool side relaxing. Overall, i would recommend to stay here for friends and relative. Above mention just play to personal prefferenfe and impression. For location, price, and reknown wise; Amari JB is a choise to look at for lodging in JB.

The stay started in a bad foot with a flop of house keeping in the room we received, but after speaking to the front desk they gave us another room, no biggie but the way the manager handled it was very professional and super educated. The view of our second room wasn't as nice as it over looks the city and not the sea link, but the room was nice and comfortable, ok the air con did not work out so great but it was a very pleasant room. The restaurants are nice, food is good and the pool is wide enough, The gym & spa are well equipped and again the staff is very helpful, the parking is a bit tricky (need to go into a underground parking lot, and I missed the entrance) but safe. Is worth a stay & visit, and there is a 24 KFC across the street for any greedy munchis at night.

The check-in is smooth and quick. Later, I call for them to bring us extra towels and bathrobe, which they did promptly. On our second night I ask them if we can loan a wine opener and few minutes later their staff came and even help us open our wine. The room itself is a bit small compared to other 5star hotel in Malaysia but it is clean, well equipped and cozy. The bed is comfortable with a lot of soft pillows. We had a good sleep at night. No noise at all and the temperature control are good. They have a full mini bar although its not complimentary and the price is 5 time more expensive. We got a room on the fourth floor facing the housing area. Not much of a view. The bathroom got a complete set of towels and accessories although bath and shower are not separated. Although Mutiara have a fine selection of restaurant, we only have the time to try Capri, their Italian café and we had a very nice dinner here. As for surrounding area, its next to Holiday Plaza and walking distance to KSL City. Theres also a very nice day spa right across the hotel. Overall mutiara for me is a bit old, but still the best hotel in JB. Two thumps up.

Way too much screaming by kids in the lounge) It's easy to find the hotel, just walk straight along city square and komtar on the left and you can see it diagonally opposite the road. The welcome cookies were amazing. I wanted second servings (just joking). The beds were also extremely comfortable. I'm more suprised by the speed of housekeeping. My room was done up in the short period of time when we went to have breakfast. My gf found it unnerving that the room service was so quick, I thought it's great I can return to a clean and tidy room after breakfast. TV program choices a little limited. I had a view of the city. It's okay/ so so to me (would like to come back to try the singapore view). Had a dip of the pool, it can get quite chilly at level 13. It would have been great if there's a unisex jacuzzi or sauna room, but I guess this is near impossible to implement now. Overall a very pleasant experience. I would wish that executive rooms would be able to choose where to have breakfast without forking extra (when executive rooms already do come with complimentary breakfast). Would definitely come back again if I revisit JB.

I've seen all these reviews and i'm thinking ,i don't know is it i have low expectation or people have too high expectation . It's not bad for a 3 star hotel . We booked the superior queen room and i tell you it's actually quite big to our surprise. There was even a sofa bed so this room can definitely have 3 people . The cleanliness was good, nothing bothered me exc...I've seen all these reviews and i'm thinking ,i don't know is it i have low expectation or people have too high expectation . The cleanliness was good, nothing bothered me except that the toilet floor still had soap when we came in . The staff were very cooperative, very easy to communicate with. We actually went to the wrong hotel initially. Just mind you this hotel is located behind Grand Bluewave hotel , not infront at City Sq . (incase anybody made the same mistake as us hehe) And there's no view (it's facing other building) so don't book if view is really an impt factor for you. Overall i rate it 7/10 :)

Waited for 10 minutes to be in the room but it is fine for me. Location is good for solo travellers too as the hotel was just a walking distance to Komtar JBCC and City Square. There’s 7-11 convenient store just right at the hotel lobby in case you need to get something urgently. Now, the cons about the apartment was the parking you have to pay on your own. (It comes with a price I guess) And the major turn off - their housekeeper was very rude. Knocked the door several times at 10:45AM to tell us to check out when we clearly knew the check out time was 12PM. Leave that alone, the housekeeper repeatedly knocked the door again at 12PM SHARP. How intense was that. I dont remember requesting the front desk to get someone for my wake up call. She was also rude when we asked the other housekeeper to confirm the check out time. She gave us her unpleasant death stare and walked away when the other housekeeper was apologizing on her behalf. Very rude and unprofessional. I hope the management can look into this matter. Other than that, theres nothing much to point out. Will still give the 5 star rating!

Everything was good. Except for certain things. Got a lil bit stain on bed sheet. Got some hair on the floor. Housekeeping was a little bit late when i asked for iron board. My wife spent her time up till 10.30 am for breakfast on first day but only until 9 am the following day. Maybe the choices was dull. The best food i ate throughout the stay was The Durian Cake frOM THE Chill Cafe. It was Delicious.

The location where it is situated, Taman Pelangi, isn't shabby either and there are numerous eateries, bars, pubs, and shopping malls nearby. Plaza Pelangi which supposedly has Johor Bahru's best array of IT shops (JB's version of Lowyat) is less than 10 minutes' walk away. The room itself was fairly clean (the beds appeared to be spotless), above what I would normally expect in this price range, and the bathroom comes with heated water and is fairly large as well. There is WiFi although it broke down on my first night there. The channels on the TV are only local free channels as far as I could tell. All in all, a very decent place to stay if you're conscious of your budget and aren't too fussy about the facilities and other minor details.

Hope that they can maintain all these in the future. There is security during the night, food eateries everywhere. Loads of cafes and traditional food right opposite towards Trus. Except that they are having construction which blocked the whole row.. so have to actually walked a longer way. For lazy people like us, every essential needs are just few steps away from hotel entrance. Even when you are hungry at night, no worries. You will be able to find food! The best gratitude I could give this hotel is that i will definitely be back again. Just hoping that they won't put up their price too high. Tried these during their opening promotion.

If you have a room facing the City Square office building, I’m pretty sure they can see you. Still, I’ve brought this up to both the front desk and security to inform the management. So I’m confident they’ll get that fixed soon. All in all, this is without a doubt, the best hotel in central JB for us. And yes, we tried the 5 star ones too. Hotel, 4 stars. Staff, 10 stars. At CC, you didn't have to fight with the crowds for check-in and and the lift. I read the reviews made by previous guests about the wifi, but wifi wasn't a problem except for a 2-hour shut out at 11pm. The bed was good and clean, and had many pillows. The only issue I had with the hotel was the water pressure from the shower. Our rooms were on the 2nd highest floor and we booked their 2nd best available room. Since we paid only $65sgd for the room, we should not have too high an expectation. we will certainly be back.

Basically nothing much to shout about, standard hotel. I have chosen this hotel due to its affordable fare for family suites (hardly to get family suite in such cheap price in the other hotels around). Stayed one night whilst visiting JB. I am a seasoned traveller, always going for quality but at the same time not breaking the bank to have it. For the money I paid, this was excellent. Clean rooms, excellent rain shower bathroom, friendly and diligent staff. Best of all, really nice coffee at breakfast along with the standard nasi lemak and other western food like sau...Stayed one night whilst visiting JB. Be spoilt for choice of duty free for liquour and cigarettes, friends and families bot...The Deluxe room is spacious, equipped with comfortable bed, fine furnishing lights, air con is cooling, bathtub is up to standard, window view is beautiful. Luxurious 5 star hotel comfort at the pricing equivalent to 3 star hotel makes Zon Regency by the Sea the most value for money. Be spoilt for choice of duty free for liquour and cigarettes, friends and families both a good gathering location. With the Woodlands Johore causeway link bridge at visible distance, Singaporeans will never miss home again. Zon regency will be my first choice of stay in Johore anytime!

I had booked just a night at the Bliss Boutique Hotel. At first when I saw it was basically several converted shophouses, i wasn't too enthusiastic about the place. Walking into the lobby was another surprise, It was clean, great interior designing, welcome drink nicely tucked nearby a massage chair for guests to try self service. We were given a room on the 3rd floor of the hotel but it started to rain so much the ceiling started leaking. We were immediately given the option to switch rooms with the receptionist herself coming up to help us with our luggage and apologize for the inconvinience. I had made a sandwich from home that i didn't want to eat so i asked if they could refrigerate it for me till the next day and this they did. The hotel staff, Chew Jiz was very pleasant and accomodating to our needs. The rooms were small, enough just to fit a queen bed with a little room to walk around the bed and had a small shower too BUT, it was a genius of a room. They made up forthe lack of space with clever ideas from Ikea to maximize limited space. For example, they had a foldable bathroom door, 2 long hooks on the wall with some hangers for hanging clothes with a make shift table underneath that was made from a simple wood panel, a tiny table designed for coffee and tea. foldable/collapsible bathrooom door and an LCD Wall mounted tv. The sheets were clean n crisp, beds well done, cleverlighting and beautiful light fixtures, Clean and cleverly designed bathroom with adequate towels, Great water pressure from the shower and sensible toiletries. They provide room service and are helpful to explain whats nearby restaurants wise. Besically they have manage to give the customer a taste of regular 4 to 5 star hotel ameneties in a clever and compact way But this place is not for the Claustrophobic.Breakfast was excellent!

I booked this hotel because of the design which quite attractive. Day one i booked from agoda and happy with the service and accommodation and second day i asked from the front desk to extend my stay and they offering better rate using my government ID which very thoughtful and i will definitely recommend this hotel to my friend. For the benefit of others, Hotel CIQ Johor Baharu hotel rooms are like this: Standard - single bed Superior - double bed Deluxe - one single bed one double bed Family room - two double beds Booked one superior and one deluxe room as the family room was fully booked as it was the year end school holidays. Rooms were clean. Newly renovated. Lift/elevator was new and uses touch screen buttons. Confortable pillows and mattress. Toiletries bare minimal and only 200/250ml of water in a sealed cup provided. Bring your own hair dryer and toothpaste/toothbrush but there are at least 3 sundry/convenience stores nearby and on either sides of the hotel like a few steps away selling all yr necessities and bread, snacks etc. A stone's throw from restaurants, Chinese or Muslim food available at nearby restaurant/shops. In room internet erratic. Fast enough but my devices kept getting disconnected. Overall value for money for the size.

I love this place to the MAX. It is a 120 square meters Plus apartment. You got three bad rooms and a large living room. This is the best location to stay in JB as it is close to CIQ for traveling to SG and close to the city center. Foods and small restaurants can be accessed very easily from the nearby shops. The Swimming pool is amazing and huge and the playground is well shaded from the hot sun. It is recommended not to eat Thai food next to the property.

This family room doesn’t have any windows, so you might need to inform them earlier if you need a room with windows. Staffs are so nice and helpful.
