Banyan Tree Bangkok (SHA Plus+)
Sathorn,Snake Farm (Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute) - View on map
"This is the second time I have stayed at Banyan Tree Bangkok and they did not disappoint. I booked the Executive Lounge Suite and everything was as advertised. Check in/out from lounge, staff spoke English very well, design and decor is amazing, finishing in the room is true 5 star hotel standard etc etc etc. ROOM: Bed was the most comfortable that I can remember in any hotel. A bath in the huge tub with the complimentary bath salts and oils plus such an amazing bed led to a great rest after a long flight. FOOD: The buffet at Banyan Tree Bangkok is, in my opinion, the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel anywhere in the world. The food and beverage offerings are extensive, everything is fresh, and the service is great. The best bar in Bangkok is on the roof top of the hotel so, if you get a room that has access to the Executive Lounge, have some complimentary cocktails at the Lounge then go upstairs to enjoy the view. It's a stunning outlook on a big city. TIPS: make time for the complimentary cocktails if they are provided with your room choice, they're well worth it. If it is in your budget order the hotel limousine to pick you up from the airport, it's a nice choice. It is extra but a pleasant addition after a long flight (especially if you are trying to impress someone!)"

"i am a frequent traveler, but first time in bangkok, so great i had to write a review, i mainly booked the hotel because when i called to inquire (after calling many hotels) i was assisted by Mr. Tim, and he was extremely helpful, professional and very joyful, the rooms are great and (rain shower is a wonder!), location is great, for me i wanted something aways from loud areas, but then again it is only a 10 minutes drive to et to important areas...great food and prompt room service, and oh the house keeping and how dedicated the work is in cleaning the rooms, the bed is as described and better, the pillows and its types are superb for amazing sleeping quality, pool parties that make your day, roof top is unbelievably romantic and magical, the TV has everything you need from channels to internet to tips to shopping form the hotel or outside...espresso machine makes your morning delightful, i can go on and on about the little but important things there, but im trying to keep it simple...check in was only five minutes! check out was only 3 minutes! even if there other people, its the hotel that knows how to ease the work flow. the best part is that i felt i was taken care of, really. I ran into the staff there and boy O boy AMAZING people, Ms.Layla, Mr. X, Ms. Vivena and Mr. K and Ms. Niki and ALL the others, Ms. Layla, Mr. Tim and Ms. Vivena spent a lot of time helping me to get around and giving me great tips and information and made my stay joyful and superb, i expected my trip to be great, but it was more than super amazing, i noticed that smiles are every where, even the guests are happy! it shows to say that the hotel has a good atmosphere and people are happy there, i really thank and love Sofitel So for the wonderful time and will surely, always go there, you only need to try it, once you see SO, you will always GO... thank you from the bottom of my heart, Pom chob krung thep kap! The Cotton Saladaeng Hotel (SHA Plus+)

"I don't usually write reviews but this one is a hidden gem. Stumble upon this hotel (after disappointment from another nearby hotel) in the alley near Lumpinee park. Was told its still in pre-opening rate. Anyway, room was super clean and staff very friendly (especially the receptionist who was very helpful). Room was nicely decorated and I like the fact that they offer environmental friendly toiletries. I also loved the super comfortable pillows. Highly recommend. "

The Boss Sathorn Hotel
Sathorn,Snake Farm (Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute) - View on map
"I was on the 2nd floor, the room was quite big, with very large windows that you could open which is nice. There was a fridge and kettle in the room, plus a TV with 2 english language channels. The shower was hot with good water pressure, wifi wasn't perfect on my floor, but acceptable. It was also quite noisy in the middle of the night because of the usual thin walls, best to bring some ear plugs. very close to a 7-11 convenience store and lots of cheap restaurants to eat and drink nearby. There is also a large hotel nearby, The Ibis, that does a good buffet breakfast every morning at 6am for 177 baht, well worth the money. A 10 minutes walk to the Khlong Toei MRT underground station and a 15 minute walk to the very nice Lumpini Park. All in all worth the money for what i paid online, about $15 per night."

"i just love this hotel and will make this my hotel of choice when i visit bangkok again. the hotel is located a short walk from silom road where the night life is happening in bangkok, i always visit bangkok and stay in lumpini park, this hotel is just next to lumpini park but access is much easier to bts and getting around in bangkok. i loved the 1 bedroom concept in the hotel, the hotel is clean, staff is friendly and very helpful and overall the stay was magical. the one bedroom apartment has its own kitchen and has everything that you need from dvd player to sterio. the bathroom has a shower that is next to bath, which is great, the whole apartment is open plan, which gives it a spacious feel. the apartment has a fax and there is also a business centre, so you can work from hotel as well. the pool is located between the 2 buildings and the view is great from the room. i love the lap pool and the gym and sauna facilities. overall the stay was great and i will stay with the property again. few things i didn't like about the property the tv guide says that the last channel is mtv, this was not the case, so there was no music channel. the food in the hotel is fantastic but its a real hassle getting the order placed with the kitchen as the attendant doesn't speak english very well, suggestion here is to perhaps move the order process to reception as i didn't have a communication issue with reception. although i only checked in around 10pm on my first night, the hotel was not accommodating to give me a late check-out on my last day, unless i pay for the extra stay, i ended up paying half a day room rate for 3 hours, but still had to use the room before my flight, so couldn't give it up. apart from that, the hotel is great and has great deals with agoda. worth visiting if you want easy access to the city when you travel to bangkok."

The Sukhothai Bangkok (SHA Plus+)
Sathorn,Snake Farm (Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute) - View on map
"my second stay at the sukhothai hotel has confirmed that my opinion as it being one of the best hotels i have ever stayed at after a life of extensive traveling. the executive deluxe room is the size of three standard rooms, beautifully appointed with an astounding attention to detail. from an excellent coffee machine to the box of every phone and computer connection imaginable to the bathroom which is like a small apartment in and of itself. fresh tropical fruit and chocolate truffles served everyday. the staff went consistently beyond the line of duty to make our visit as pleasant as possible. i was greeted by name from day one by all of the staff. one evening we were having trouble locating a restaurant. the concierge spent over twenty minutes doing everything possible to find this out of the way place. he finished by finding the cell phone of the owner but before that he had thoroughly searched the internet, and even called another hotel in the restaurant's neighborhood to find out if they knew the exact address. the hotel limousine to and from the airport is well worth the money. uniformed chauffeur, cold towels, water, candy and wifi in the car (fabulous mercedes) the breakfast buffet is amazing and delicious. everything that anyone could possible desire for breakfast is there an more. the celadon restaurant in widely considered one of the best thai restaurants in bangkok and deservedly so. if you want to taste the classic thai dishes done to perfection this is the place. i cannot say enough good about this hotel. my favorite in the world. U Sathorn Bangkok (SHA Plus+)
Sathorn,Snake Farm (Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute) - View on map
"Moder/high tech room Very clean room and very good room layout Great breakfast. Wish bread would be freshly baked and juices not from concentrate/artificial then I would consider it perfect. Staff very attentive, cordial, cortious. Called few times for additional towels and soap - response time was 1-2 minutes. Very impressive! Calling for taki from the hotel is 5-10 minutes delay. No big deal. Arrival back to the hotel causes some drivers to loose their way though signs are clear. I just learn the 3 turns from the main road to the hotel, how to say left and right in Thai (Qua, sa-yee) and prenlem resolved. Hotel offers free yoga class (my wife tried it) and Thai language once a week. Since I'm a foodie, here are the breakfast details: Very clean, nice selection, very nice decor. This is a one star Michelin restaurant. Probably lunch and diner is more impressive but the breakfast was not as zesty as expected. Cheese selection is only 2 types of simple cheeses. Lox was scant and not of the best quality but it was just ok. Nice selection of dried fruits. Pastries below average. Not crispy Danish / tart / Turnovers. Warm dishes are ok quality but not Tasty so I sleeper it and stocked to salad and lox. You may order omelette ala carte but don't expect to consistency. I like my omelette spice with chopped chilly - once I got it hell hot next day I couldn't feel the chili. Coffee / cappuccino / latte was very good so I had 2-3 cups every time. Bread looks like ordered from a near by bakery, probably a day before but don't forget this is less than 100 room hotel and there is limited labor resource they can provide while price room for $100/night range. (For better nreakfast go to the mandarin oriental and pay $300/night) Overall this hotel with the complimentary breakfast is the best deal i ever encountered. From now on, I will check my travel destination for U hotels and stay there if possible."

HAP@SATHORN HOTEL
Sathorn,Snake Farm (Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute) - View on map
"I think this Hotel is the best one in Sathorn area. Why ? 1. The room is so huge, and very instragammable 2. It has hairdryer, new towel everyday, hot and cold water on shower, sitting toilet with bidet/water spray 3. Only 2 minutes walk to reach 7/11, the closest MRT is Khloeng Toi which can be reached within 8 mins walk 4. Staffs are very helpful, and speak English properly. Not like most Thai who stutter when speak English, I can understand staffs' English very well. 5. It costs 300 THB to go DMK Airport with Grab Car 6. The room is the biggest compares to hotel around(AIM, Ibis and so on) 7. Lunch are everywhere in Rama Road, and Dinner across 7/11. 8. It is also 15 mins walking to Babylon Gay Sauna. The minus things are: 1. It doesn't has lift/elevator, so deal with it for people who stay on 3rd floor and upper 2. It doesn't has lamp/light above the Wastafel. So girls, you might face difficulty to put make up on. 3. Hotel doesn't provide Bfast. This is a hotel for young people."

Annex Lumpini Bangkok
Sathorn,Snake Farm (Queen Saovabha Memorial Institute) - View on map
"This hotel is both minimal and functionally focused. I wouldn’t say there is anything super special about the rooms or furniture within them, but everything is functional and comfortable to use. I would however say that the fridge in the rooms is much larger and guest friendly than the majority of fridges you’ll see. It’d what I would consider a half size with plenty of room for drinks and food and even a freezer section (though I haven’t tested that out). There is also a wardrobe, desk with chair, king size beds, coffee table, and bathroom. There is no dedicated shower area as the bathroom is just one single room. The breakfast is buffet style with a small egg station is an added bonus. Each room also has a very small terrace, but don’t always have the best views. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and already planned to use this hotel again for a return trip to Bangkok."
