Self check-in kiosk was actually a brilliant idea considering how busy this hotel could be with groups of tourists from travel agents, as well as other individual or family travelers. However, if you book via Agoda, you will still need to approach one of the staffs to have your booking registered manually to the machine. After that, you can proceed with check-in and adding a couple extras (RM 5 each) to your booking, such as room with view, connecting room, early check-in, etc. The room was a bit old, but comfortable enough even though it didn’t have plenty of space. The items provided were: 2 glasses, a pitcher, 2 towels, a shower cap, and 2 liquid soap dispensers. The soap can be used as shampoo, shower gel, and hand soap. There was no toothbrush or toothpaste. There were water dispensers in every corner of the corridors so you can get water, hot or tepid, using the pitcher provided. If you need coffee or tea, or extra package of toiletries, you can go to the vending machine near the lobby, right across Watsons. Each package costs RM 5. The staffs, while most of them are friendly, not all of them are helpful. I needed to print the Aerobus ticket which was booked online and sent to me via email. I didn’t know it would need to be printed-out until the staff at the ticket counter (in Mushroom Farm) said so. The lady said they have no printer or internet connection to check online booking so things were done manually there. And those who booked the ticket online would need to submit the ticket print-out directly to the bus driver. I went back to the hotel, approached one of the staff in the information desk and asked if I can print the ticket. We are travelling with 8 people altogether, got connecting quad rooms in smoking area but no smell at all. The view is right in front of arena of stars and still-in-construction fox world theme park. Just a few minutes walk to cheap eating place and around 10minutes walk to the plaza and shopping centre. You can find all you need from clothes, food to grocery there. Bu...We are travelling with 8 people altogether, got connecting quad rooms in smoking area but no smell at all. The view is right in front of arena of stars and still-in-construction fox world theme park. Just a few minutes walk to cheap eating place and around 10minutes walk to the plaza and shopping centre. You can find all you need from clothes, food to grocery there. But the indoor theme park is still under construction. Snow world is open but queue is too long. You can go to first world plaza, get to Starbucks outside, and cross over a road to buy bus ticket for tomorrow or other days' trip to Penang, Singapore and many more. It is cheaper than travelling by taxi. And you might want to use Grab for a better price for travelling around Genting.

I'm choosing Maxim because of the review regarding the non smoking floor. However as other guests review, the cigarette smoking sometimes could be smelled in the lobby and the hallway from elevator to our room - luckily it didn't go through inside my room. The bath room was spacious plus very clean and the amenities were aigner. The bed room carpet is not very clean though. On the overall it is acceptable for allergic person like myself. Maxim is connected to the other location such as first world plaza through indoor shopping centre located behind the receptions. If your room didn't include breakfast, there are lots of cafe in those shoping centre which could caters your needs : Marry brown in first world plaza opens 24hrs and there are also starbucks too.

Decided to book this hotel and contact the genting world resorts to request for birthday room deco, got a quick reply from the admin and agree to do the arrangement. Arrived at the hotel with beautiful lovely deco with helium balloons that says Happy Birthday, a Selamat Hari Lahir wording...Looking for a place to celeb my birthday so hubby ask me to find hotel @ genting. Including 3 fresh roses with stem and lots of balloons my 2 kids loved it! Thank u so much Resort Hotel for fulfilling my request it was lovely & unforgettable birthday ❤️ Staff was friendly & check in was a breeze even on sunday, and room was spacious with lovely cable car view. Will come again for sure!

The bus drop us off at Resort Hotel, so we got to take a few escalators to get to the hotel. check in was fast. however the room smells bad with cigarette. we had requested for a non-smoking room, however, the room still smell bad. breakfast was buffet style, the coffee counter is near the bar counter, all the way behind and away from the food line. limited food rang...The bus drop us off at Resort Hotel, so we got to take a few escalators to get to the hotel. check in was fast. however the room smells bad with cigarette. we had requested for a non-smoking room, however, the room still smell bad. breakfast was buffet style, the coffee counter is near the bar counter, all the way behind and away from the food line. limited food range... so do not expect a spread of food like other 5 star hotels. check out was speedy as well. unable to get late-check out as the hotel seems to always been "fully booked". expect to wait up to 10 mins at the check out counter as they will have someone check your room for "damages" or missing items.
