It's a chain. It's predictable. It's sterile. But that's not a bad thing. I needed a trustworthy place to stay for 3 nights while attending a wedding, and Ibis Budapest City didn't disappoint. A very straight-forward hotel with everything you expect from a large business-oriented chain. Check in and out was easy, room size was decent, and the bed was comfortable (although on the softer side). The only thing I wish it had was a water kettle. And for ironing you need to go to a designated room. The surrounding streets could be loud (some bars/clubs/restaurants) and dirty, but nothing scary. And you can walk to all the main attractions. The metro is just around the corner as well.

Ibis Budapest city is clean, safe and in great location to the trendy new restaurants in the area. It's about 15 minutes walk to the river and access to hop on hop off buses are only 3 min walk away. Fantastic polite staff willing to help anytime.

Friendly staff, great service, met expectations”

Stayed here for the first time. Staff is friendly, rooms are simple equipped but clean, if you know what to expect from Ibis rooms your stay will be really pleasant. Very convenient location, metro station is only a couple steps away, Keleti railway station is one metro stop away.

Very good service from the staff. Polite and helpfull. We enjoyed our stay. I went alone with my girl- 12 years old and it was in walkingdistance to the zoo, spa, city, donau........ A shoppingcentre nearby, next to Burgerking and station. We didn´t use the train / Metro but walked around.

The staff was happy and very helpful, hotel very clean rooms excellent little moan about the room only one plug socket other than that spot on, only about 10 minutes walk to main square, we would stay here again it was a pleasure thanks 🙏 lisa & alan

The hotel is located in a run down area of town but we can't fault it on comfort, quietness and cleanliness. We only had breakfast at the hotel once as we found the variety on offer lacking for the price.

-It is an air conditioning room and it is quite new. -The wifi was quick and we enjoyed surfing the net inside the room. -The location is in the middle of the town and near the metro station. It is extremely convenient for us to go to various tourist spots.

Good sleep and friendly Reception ”

I requested for a room not facing the road upon booking and they gave us one. It was quiet eventhough the hotel is in a busy street. Just what you need after long walks and parties in Budapest. The hotel has very easy access to trams, busses and metro too. We arrived very late night and still had a smooth check in.
