Clean, comfortable & conveniently located”

I wanted a clean room, comfortable bed & a hot shower for a one night stopover on my way north. The Ibis provided this. As well the location- just past the tourist information centre on the northbound side of the M1 was exactly what I needed. I walked to the C-Ex club for my meal (which was excellent) rather than eat at the hotel next door simply for the exercise - about 500 metres away. Only minor issue for others might be the live music at the hotel (Thursday night) but it didn't prevent me sleeping or disturb my sleep. I've booked in for my south bound journey.

Sound proof windows for the rooms closest to the pub should be considered. Cleaners should pay attention to the mould in the shower areas, maybe even a wipe over of the room walls. Having breakfast available is a plus, I did see a microwave in the lobby for those wanting to warm up quick meals.

Staff was lovely, hotel is in the perfect location. But just one thing to disappoint is the beds, I had a double and it was so firm it was so uncomfortable I didn’t get any sleep.
