Lovely old Hotel with Character and great food!”

The staff were great and although the hotel is getting a bit worn the Hot Springs and Resaurants were amazing! 1F Restaurant has the best Gyoza and Ramen in Japan! I will definitely visit again!!

Great Onsen hotel, location was fine for price”

Breakfast is highly recommended here. Onsen facility was good with outdoor onsen available. But onsen also open to locals to just pay and use, thus can get crowded. Family mart is around 10 mins walk away.

Great traditional indoor and outdoor Onsen ”

Overall experience was great, we had three night stayed in here. The hotel building is quite old and has an old smell but everything looks clean. The room itself was way bigger than those ones in Tokyo CBD. Having Onsen is a must the hotel has five different kind of indoor and outdoor Onsen, the breakfast was also amazing good selection of Japanese food. Location wise, I will recommend hire a car if you go travel around Nanago from the hotel.

Nice hotel with free parking space and free onsen”

We stayed here for 1 night only. We did enjoy the onsen the hotel provided very much. Hotel has a large parking area for customers to park their car, no charge. Location for this hotel is good too, which if you have car, it is very close to Karuizawa. Although hotel has been built for years and looks traditional/old, but room looks clean though. The size of the room is big too. Staff is helpful. Overall, we like this hotel, worth the money, highly recommend you to stay here instead of staying in Karuizawa, because hotels in Karuizawa are really not worth the money.

cheap and great breakfast, only 15-20 minutes drive from Karuizawa

Old hotel, but condition is very clean !! GREAT breakfast. Rooms are nothing special, but good size and clean. It is an Onsen (hot spring) hotel, so you can soak in a hot pool and relax too. Breakfast is VERY good in this hotel and attitude of staff is very good too. Plenty of restaurants and places to eat, not far from the hotel. 2 second hand shops 1-2 minutes from the hotel, so some good bargains and nice things to be found. We stayed there on Saturday night, there were many people staying there, including some foreigners. Very good deal, if you just want a place to stay, and nothing fancy. Only 15-20 minutes drive from Karuizawa, so this place is a good bargain, compare with the Karuizawa hotels. They have a store in the hotel with many good local products.

Great hot spring”

This hotel is just around 7 to 8mins walk from the Kita-nakagomi train station. There's an Aeon Big hypermart along the way. The hotel is a little old, but it is well maintained. The hot spring is great, quite a number of varieties. Try to avoid peak hours, otherwise the hot spring will be quite crowded as it is opened to public too.
