BEST hotel in Segamat! Everything I expect and more”

Travelled with my partner and I was very happy with everything provided by the hotel. The hotel wifi was GOOD, staff was very friendly- recommended me some good food around the area. Most importantly, the hotel is very clean! The toilet in the room is much much cleaner than other hotels in Segamat. Even much better than VIP Hotel! Overall, everything is very good. Very value for money. Nothing to complain. Good job Icon Hotel!

New hotel, good surrounding”

It's a new hotel. 4 of us were staying in a 4 single-bed room. Good space for us, each bed has power outlet so very convenient for us to charge our phone. Very rare in a budget hotel but they separate toilet and shower room which is a good point for us. There's a mall nearby (walking distance), A&W Restaurant, Starbucks and some local cafes. They monitor the Covid-19 SOP well. There's a note in the room with housekeeping person's name telling you the room was cleaned and disinfected. A small but very thoughtful gesture. They have parking area behind the hotel - free parking but the safety is questionable because quite dark at night. You also may park near the hotel but you need a parking coupon and parking is charged between 8am-5pm. (Need to check with the front desk if applicable during the weekend - I'm not so sure). Overall, very recommended and I will stay in this hotel again if I return to Segamat.

Best place in Segamat”

The hotel is good if you are looking for a place to spend one night in Segamat. Very friendly and reliable staff. We forgot something in our room and could pick it up on our way back next day. The hotel is located in a still developing area of Segamat with a shopping centre and lots of new shop houses. It is still difficult to find an open café in the morning before 9 am.

Clean hotel”

Icon Hotel Segamat is clean and located not far from the town center. It has a lift and therefore suitable for older guests. It also has its own car park behind the hotel.

I choose to stay at here every time visit Segamat because the place not really far from town area, peaceful, new shop lot there without tenant yet. There are Starbucks, 7-11, Korean food few block from hotel. Staff friendly, room & toilet clean. Provided toothbrush, shower cap, drinking bottle.

the location of hotel is well placed close to the outskirts of segamat town, with views of river sungai kapeh. windy, quiet, and a non busy area. well secured; security guards at the entrance guarding parking lots too. The room is in a good condition, clean and comfortable.

Great for a short stay in Segamat”

New hotel with clean facilities in Segamat. Great for a short stay. Ample parking available. Friendly staff. Walls are thin so we could hear the cleaners outside in the morning, but acceptable for the price.

With the affordable price, the hotel lookalike 5 star hotel. Clean room and complete with all necessary common facilities for short duration of stay. Location not crowded with noisy of town. Near with Segamat town.

Unfortunately, there is no Hilton or MO in Segamat.. get the point? so this is the best hotel in Segamat that you will ever find. Highly recommended

Best hotel in segamat near town area”

Best so far, cleanliness and location but not much facilities, nothing much to be expected from a hotel built by the corner of shop lots though. Otherwise, its considerably a newer hotel compare to the rest at segamat area. so definately will recommend it

Very good”

Segamat is not a really big place so location is never an issue anyway. The place is still quite new so the neighbourhood did feel extremely secluded and dark at night. It is good if you want a quiet place. I am amazed by the investments into the room. I see Grohe taps, Samsung TV & Daikin airconditioner. There is this curious switch to light up if you want housekeeping to clean your room or the other if you don't want to be disturbed. I wonder if you can switch on both of them at the same time, how does housekeeping make a decision? To clean or not to clean? Hahaha! Also if you leave your room, there is no more electricity, how will they know what you want? Anyway, just curious how it works. There is this yellow painted zone under the spotlight opposite the main entrance with a yellow bench. We bought our yellow durian flesh there to eat (benchmark the yellow grade) since they are strictly not to be consumed in the hotel. Overall, nice place to stay!

Nice clean hotel with lift”

Hotel is quite new, nice big lobby with a lift and private car park behind. Rooms are a little small but alright for a short stay while passing through Segamat.

Good for a layover”

We were passing by Segamat from the east so we just stayed in this hotel for the night before resuming our journey the next day. This hotel is situated in a fairly new area, away from the town. There's a supermarket and a few restaurants within walking distance. With a car, all the other good eateries in Segamat are accessible. Room is basic and good enough for a short overnight stay. Room is not sound proof, so you can hear very clearly whatever's going on along the corridor or other rooms. We suspect someone was smoking in the other room, as we smelled smoke throughout the night, which was really unpleasant. Staffs are quite friendly and helpful, the service was prompt. We requested for an additional towel and it was delivered within 5 minutes.

Pros: 1) clean - lobby, floor, lift, room, bedsheets, toilet, towel 2) friendly staff 3) water filter on second floor (cold water only) 4) parking free with a lots of space in front hotel (night still have security to take care your vehicle ) Cons: 2 times stay there, so far No
