Overlooking the Kinugawa River, Isshinkan offers hot-spring baths, traditional Japanese cuisine and a spa with massage services. Rooms have nature views, tatami (woven-straw) flooring and a private Western bathroom with bathtub. A zen setting awaits guests at Ryokan Isshinkan, with shoji paper screens and traditional futon bedding. Many rooms have mountain or forest views. A fridge and TV are provided in all rooms. Kinugawa-Onsen Train Station is a 5-minute drive from the hotel, and the Toshogu Nikko Shrines are 16 km away. The Ryuzu-no-Taki Waterfalls are 25 km away. The hotel has a unique indoor pool filled with hot-spring water, as well as a hot-spring bath that can be reserved for private use for a fee. You can have a bit of light fun with table tennis or karaoke. A Japanese breakfast and multi-course kaiseki dinner are served at the dining room.
Dated hotel that lacks atmosphere”
The hotel was dated and not worth the money. It was the most we paid per night for accommodation in our 3 weeks in Japan (last minute) and the worst room we had. We were disappointed, a lot of the town was booked out and we ended up staying here.
