For us - Perfection”
We had a very large room overlooking the beautiful beach of Chaloklum. Through sliding doors, and a few steps onto a superb, soft sand, calm waters beach, perfect for swimming. The hotel had an adequate size pool, which we hardly used because the sea was so inviting. The rooms had tea coffee et cetera and TV. Aircon was effective. Breakfast was at an Italian café 10 paces away from the hotel, the coffee and breakfast was excellent. Having travelled extensively in Thailand, I can honestly say the staff at the hotel were marvellous. I must mention Pop and Amorn, the managers of the hotel who were very attentive and always checking if we needed anything. They organise transport, bike or car hire at good rates, and transport back to the ferry when we left. We were there for three weeks, and it was not long enough. I also must mention Ai Who looked after our rooms extremely well. A lovely lady who was always ready with a smile. Chaloklum is NOT A party town. It is a town for relaxing, enjoying the market on the pier every Sunday, massage, and some very good food. We particularly enjoyed the food at Nong M next door, and Indy Restaurant. Look out for the market and festival at Maduwan Temple, very enjoyable. The Belvidere was a very good place for a sundowner, up on the side of the hill overlooking the bay. But it was also excellent sitting on our balcony! The town is a working fishing village, so seafood was excellent, and the locals were charming, and more ready with a smile than all other tourist resorts that I have been to. Highly recommended, next time it will be for a month.

This was my third visit to this nice hotel. It is run by a lovely, sweet & very helpful family. The rooms are big, clean & have huge windows. I had a room with sea view & I loved to watch the see from my bed.

Great place to stay! Very quiet, big rooms, perfect position, directly on the beach, clean and peaceful. The owner and all the staff are really nice and available for all you need! I really suggest this hotel! I will be back soon! Paola

A tale of two rooms”
The first two nights I stayed in the cheaper street view room (on the lower level). This was perfectly fine for my needs but decided for the last night to stay in a beach facing room which was fantastic! Excellent location near the pier where the dive shops disembark from and a good selection of bars and restaurants with a 24hr 7-Eleven close by this was a great place to stay!

Staying at the Manadalai will always hold a special place in my heart. I stayed at this property for 7 days and instantly because a member of their family. The Chaloklum community will embrace with open arms and remind you that there are still kind people in this world.

Very Good”
We have been staying in this hotel for the last few years when visiting Koh Phangan. Our room had amazing views over the bay, large with bath and separate shower. The pool is small but lovely to cool off. Staff are very helpful. Highly recommend

Beautiful”
This hotel is absolutely beautiful, spacious rooms with the beach right on your doorstep. staff were very helpful and kind! - helped me with taxi and moped renting. location is great if you want a quiet getaway, on the other side of the island isolated from the party side of the island. however having a moped could get you anywhere in minutes. Cafes, restaurants and 7 eleven just seconds away, many located right on the beach with nice views. overall, would love to visit this hotel again!

Friendly staff”
My friend and I booked the room with garden view, but there's no garden really. It was facing the street and it was ground floor. We asked to move to the pool room the following day and paid a bit more for that. It's a quiet hotel with a nice chill out area by the pool and another one facing the beach. The problem is that the beach cannot be accessed from the terrace and the space on the side of the property that leads to the beach is dirty with water pipes. The staff were really helpful and nice when we asked about excursions and we booked rides and trips through them since we weren't riding a motorbike. The breakfast at the Italian place was really good and had paninis to take away too :) Bring pegs to hold the curtains closed at night! Spacious and bright room, with bath robes included.

Nice and quiet area”
A nice area. Gorgeous view. Helpful and friendly staff. Bike rental available. A much quieter Parr of the island which was nice after Full Moon. The internet wasn't the greatest but its hit or miss depending the room.

Good for those who prefer a quick hideaways from the hustle & Bustle of City Life. Good escape for Pandemic Hit people as well to destress from all the restrictions of travel & craziness of covid life in the city.

Great place in quiet environment”
We can definitely recommend this place ... it's worth it just for the view alone but we also encountered friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean and we really enjoyed the location of this place in the middle of a small village.

Ottimo”
Ideal location on the sea in the center of Chaloklum village. Fantastic view from the beach front rooms. Good swimming pool. Deck chairs and tables could use replacing as the sea and salt takes its toll. Room was lovely and very comfortable but the hot water was only working occasionally in the shower and not at all in the jacuzzi. Recommended!

Great location but some problems with facilities”
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. If you like bars and restaurants, it's an excellent location. Every weekend, the streets outside the hotel are shut down in the evening to make a sort of walking street. There were a couple of problems with the room, however. Our Internet did not work for a couple of days and our electronic key card for the room never worked. I hope they can sort this out in the future.

Having stayed lots of different hotels in the island, I can only say that it’s an average hotel. There is no house keeping if u don’t ask for that. Rooms are not very clean.
