A newly renovated room was given to us, spacious and clean. Good for family of 4-6members. There is also complimentary snacks inside the room. The staff was friendly and quite accommodating.

Good onsen with location around 5 minutes walking from station. However, there is something I would like to complain about. I stayed for 2 nights and arrived at 6:00pm. When I checked in, they gave me breakfast coupon with time period of 8:30-9:30am directly without mentioning any other options (1st day). I planned to go for Edo Wonderland and see it’s opening at 9:00am, but with that breakfast coupon I just couldn’t make it. So I arranged going to Edo Wonderland to the day I check out from hotel. I also asked for an earlier breakfast coupon on the second day. And when I checked out in the morning of the last day around 7:30am, I asked for leaving my luggage at the hotel for daytime. And the staff asked me, “Are you going to stay tonight?” I replied, “No, I have stayed for two nights previously.” Then the staff told me, “Sorry, we only offer this service for guests staying at our hotel.” Whoa, I mean…….what??? They offer this service for customers and they thought of me who just spent 150 bucks staying for two nights NOT as a customer??? I even used translating app to ensure what he just told me. Pretty unbelievable. Though truly they don’t add this service on Agoda, I take that Onsen Hotels offer this service as granted. However, it turns out that I’m not correct. This Itoen Hotel DOES offer this service the day you stay, and suddenly DOESN’T offer this service the next day. Additionally, I stayed at southern building this time and the room is old and full of smell of smoking. If you’re not smoking, please just avoid staying in southern building.

ディスカウントのチケットだった為か、食事はバイキングのありきたりの物で、近くの居酒屋に行った方がマシかも。アルコールが飲み放題なのは評価良し。風呂はぬるくて風邪引きそうだった。部屋は本館ではなく別館に案内され、風呂や食事は移動が一々外に出ないとならないので、せっかく温泉で温まったのにこれでは湯冷めしてしまう。値段相応として割り切るしかなかった。スタッフも早口で正直ホテルの説明がやっつけ作業。残念な旅でした。

価格が安いから許せるホテル”
南館に素泊まりしました。畳部屋でゆっくりと寝ることができました。夜19時位にチェックインしたので、フロントでの受付は待たずにできました。元々のホテル本館の左右にあった別のホテルが廃業したため、買収して全体で3つの建物で構成されています。フロントや大浴場は本館にあるため、南館からは屋根のない屋外通路を歩いて行き来します。一応雨傘は置いていましたが、冬は湯冷めしますね。食事は外食にしましたが、やっているところは限られています。ただ、ホテルの食事はHPを見る限り、揚げ物とかが多そうなビュフェスタイルのようです。温泉も無色透明でしが、温泉かどうかはわかりません。お湯が熱かったので良しとします。

今回の旅のメインは奥飛騨温泉郷。朝一の女夫渕行の市営バスに乗るために、鬼怒川温泉駅周辺で一人旅 素泊まりの宿 の条件で検索、コストパフォーマンス、条件を満たすのには十分、お風呂も寛げました。
