If you would like to stay the hotel with outdoor swimming pools,gym and restaurant within city areas, E outfitting will be very few of them and you can chill with those facilities. Almost 24 hours tea house is also just beside this hotel. Chills and enjoy!! "

"We loved this hotel! The free breakfast was incredible and the staff were so incredibly sweet and attentive. The first night we stayed we got an enormous room that we loved - the second time we got a much smaller room, but it had more of a view. It was unbearably hot outside in Mandalay so we were so happy to have this oasis to retreat to - we would take a walk to the palace or out to the night market (which is pretty close and definitely worth the trip!) and then come back for some cool air. We loved the OJ and fruit upon arrival too. The best part of all was eating the delicious breakfast in the chilled restaurant with a full view onto the palace and its moat and surrounding park. Loved it!"

"Yadanarpon is well located close to the old palace and a few minutes in a taxi from downtown Mandalay. Room was good, everything worked. Wifi was pretty good for Myanmar, best I had during my stay in the country. Staff were really good, went out of their way to help. My Burmese is pretty bad so a bit of patience and everything got done. Rooftop bar isn't really one, they rollout a few tables at sunset. In fact, I don't think there was a bar there at all. It's just a couple of minutes walk down the road to street stalls and restaurants anyway, no problem. Close to sunset a loud noise emanated from some contraption near reception which then started to give off clouds of toxic smelling smoke, I had to close the balcony doors. Apparently it was to kill mossies.....(sledgehammer..walnut etc) Good hotel. If you're traveling in Myanmar you'll soon get used to the different hotel standards and learn not to be too picky about the small things. I'd stay there again"

"We stayed 3 nights at the red canal and could not fault the staff or hotel, they were very attentive and helpful. Excellent service and great rooms, the food was great and all the staff happy. We had one of the best meals on our trip at red canal, they also organised a taxi to take us round the sights of Mandalay which was a big help and we loved Mandalay Hill view. This hotel is setting the standard for others in Mandalay and if back in Mandalay will return."

"We had an amazing time in the hotel. Staff has been really helpful, especially Ei Ei Kyaw. They did everythin they could to helt think about it p us organizing excursion, accomodating late check out or providing a beautiful room. Don, just book it. It is close to local market, easy to move around walking or by taxi and views from the restaurant are great. The show every night is a good way to wind down your day. I would definitively book it again if I come back to Mandalay. THANK YOU"

"After disembarking about 5 a.m. from Myanmar's answer to the Iraqi torture chamber - the Yangon to Mandalay train, my friend and I limped into a 'taxi' and arrived at the Shwe Pyi Thar Hotel about 5.30 a.m. We hoped to store our luggage and find a spot on a floor somewhere so we could recover. However, after looking at our twisted, battered bodies the amazingly empathetic staff booked us straight into our room and even offered us a free breakfast, which I declined but my friend enjoyed. Our stay at this beautiful hotel was enough to restore my faith in Myanmar hospitality and humanity. If ever I return to Mandalay, a stay in the Shwe Pyi Thar will be mandatory."

"My girlfriend and I stayed in the Boss Hotel for 6 days (cause of the water festival). The hotel is really nice, staff very helpful. Room is not that big, but clean and comfortable. The only negative point is the bus agency they are in collaboration with. 15.000 kyats per person for the shuttle bus (Mandalay - Inle Lake). No space for the baggages, so we did 7 hours of bus with our feet over our backpacks, so knees in front of the nose, squeezed like sardines. I hope they will collaborate with an other bus agency. Anyway the experience has been really nice, so we totally recommend it!"

"After having some less than satisfactory experience with hotels in Myanmar - with one or two exceptions - we were more than pleasantly surprised by Golden Dream, which lived up to its name. Located in an old quarter of Mandalay (there is a neat old shop-style market just around the corner), Golden Dream is a newer hotel which seems almost out of place in its surroundings. From the very start, the friendly and attentive staff made every effort to make us feel welcome and taken care of. We loved the rooftop restaurant, where the breakfast, though standard fare, was adequate and fresh. The room was comfortable and impeccably clean, as was the bathroom. No hesitation in highly recommending this lovely hotel."

"Mr.T who is the general manager of this hotel. If you are lucky like us, he may change wonderfully your stay in Mandalay and even beyond the city. Because he is a such caring person that who were able to help me and my travel mate to organize a package tour Inley Lake trip in the high season at very very very reasonable price. The hotel itself was under renovations, but they are trying their best to meet a sudden demand as country gradually has been opening to the world. Reception desk staff were helpful, honest and lovely, was really fun to talk with them. "

"overall the hotel is nice not expensive and give good service for your money. we got a room just below the dining room and there was a lot of noise so we ask them to move and they changed the room that was better but still have noise from the street. besides that nice staff smiling and willing to help with everything.
