All rules are made to avoid inconveniences to host and guest, are based from past experiences, and are for the benefit of guests safety, peace, and comfort.
Kindly take note that we have a 1 time rebooking policy and depends on room availability:
*Only applies to bookings made more than 10 days prior check-in date.
*Rebooking is applicable for requests made 10 days prior original check-in date. Please be reminded to send your alteration request through Airbnb.
* Valid for 3 months from original booking dates.
*Subject to additional charge based from season rate.
*Please note that though new chosen dates fall on a lower rate, the original booking payment applies.
*Alteration to shorten days of stay is not allowed, original number of days apply.
Check-in/Check-out Rules*
*check-in is at 2:00pm onwards
* check-out is at 11:00am.
There is a corresponding penalty charge of php2000 for late check-out. Consider that housekeeping has a schedule to maintain and a system to keep. Also, let us be considerate to the next guest.
Breakfast is not inclusive in room rates.
Strict implementation of "ONLY IN-HOUSE GUESTS" are allowed inside the property is applied for safety, security, and privacy.
The person who booked the listing is the one expected to arrive for check-in and is responsible for his/her companion/s. If any of his/her companion violate any of the house rules, the guest who booked the listing and his/her companion/s are to leave the premises at once.
Please observe peace and quiet.
Strictly no smoking inside the room.
Complimentary cleaning by housekeeping is dusting and wiping only.
KITCHEN
Please wash your own dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans. Kindly make sure that they are washed before checking out too.
Please make sure to store food in tightly sealed containers or store in fridge. The island is a jungle, we have all sorts of insects, mosquitoes, and pests. Let us all try to avoid the latter to have a comfortable stay.
The kitchen is for light meal preparations only.
Kindly always open windows when cooking, there is no vent.
No heavy cooking is allowed, no frying of smelly food /no aromatic food (durian, fish, dried fish, squid, curry, any type of food aroma that lingers and causes cleaning inconvenience and nuisance for the next guest).
Please be mindful with regards to segregation of trash. Please make sure to throw trash in assigned bins provided in the loft. We would sincerely appreciate this a lot.
Please save electricity. Switch off lights and turn off air conditioning unit when room is not in use. Take note that we do not have a generator in cases of electrical interruptions.
Please know that we charge php800 for lost room key.
Please conserve water. The only reason why we have an ample supply of water is because we have a tank.
You desire breakfast served in the loft? Surely! Kindly inform the front desk officer. Please also inform staff when you're done so they can immediately collect plates and cutlery for your convenience (as mentioned, we are in a jungle, let's avoid all sorts of pests by not leaving traces of food on tables for your comfort).
The Deck is used as a breakfast place during mornings and is mainly used for relaxing, reading a book, and simply enjoying quiet time throughout the day and night. We do not allow bringing/drinking alcohol, and playing personal music here to avoid inconveniencing others. If you wish to listen to your own music at the Deck, this is possible but kindly wear earphones.
The kitchen at The Deck is for the Chef/Cook only. Given that we do not have a communal kitchen implies that we do not provide plates and cutlery for borrowing. Basic cutlery, pot, and pan are provided in the loft.
In case any violation of these rules are made, guest/s should immediately leave the property in peace and cancel their booking under his/her name and pay a corresponding penalty charge of php2,000.
A one time change of bath towel and 2 extra rolls of toilet paper are given to long staying guests (applies to guests staying for 1 week). Please request from the Front desk officer.
- Damaging/Losing our property.
When booking with us, you are particularly agreeing that you will be held liable for any and all damage caused by you (be it intentional or unintentional) to any of our property, including but not limited to internal or external elements of our property, including fixed elements or moveables such as furniture and appliances, structural damages: walls, ceilings or floors, electrical or plumbing systems, and outer spaces such as the deck area and surroundings.
Tarzan's House is not liable for any lost or damaged items/personal belongings. Please take care of your things.
* FOR EARLY ARRIVALS: Guests are most welcome to relax at the Deck area while waiting for check-in time, though please be informed that we do not have a public toilet available. We have private rooms with private washrooms only. Therefore, we recommend incoming guests to arrive at check-in time or a few minutes prior for your convenience.
Early check-in requests. Please understand that this is only possible if room is ready ahead of schedule.

Beautiful room, but many things to improve”
Positives: beautiful bungalo, great view, 24 hours security, kitchen, internet, mineral water supply. To improve: communication prior and during stay is not good, door dont close, hard access, likings, termites, no insects net in the windows, towels, water pressure, support on tours and so on. The description is very clear but I do believe that they could train the staff about communication and improve lots of details, than how much they charge will make sense.
