Clean Environment, Attentive Service, Nice View”
Jasmine Palace Hotel was officially opened on 17th Sept 2015. It is relatively new, compared to other hotels along the road. This is a 100% smoke-free hotel, I believe this is one of the reasons why the air still smells fresh and clean after nine months since its opening. We had a premier room on the 13th floor, facing the Schwedagon Golden Pagoda. The room was spectacularly spacious even after having an extra bed in the room. Staffs were attentive, helpful and efficient. Concierge and front desk staffs are able to speak moderately good English. Communication wasn't a problem at all in the Hotel. One of the concierge staffs, Mr. Ye Lin (which means Red Light in Burmese), helped us several times negotiating for very reasonable taxi fares to our destinations. Just in case you are not aware, all taxis in Yangon do not have a meter. Travellers need to negotiate on the fare before getting on one. Not all taxi drivers understand English, but some do speak both Chinese and English. The lowest taxi fare is 1500ks from the hotel to a nearby shopping mall, example Junction Square. Breakfast was served in the coffee house (Empress Restaurant & Bar), located on the 21st floor, highest floor of the hotel. The view from the coffee house was fascinating. One can easily view the dazzling skyline of Yangon and enjoy the good sunlight while having breakfast here. We also visited the hotel’s Chinese restaurant, which served scrumptious dishes. I must compliment one of the waiters named Mr. Hanlay, who was very attentive and well-mannered. Beside the fact that there are lots of houseflies at the hotel’s lobby waiting area, there’s really nothing one can complain about. The overall experience staying in Jasmine Palace Hotel was a great one.

Great hotel which is exceeded expectations. Some of the friendliest staff I've encountered in Asia!”
The staff here definitely make the hotel. Super friendly and always keen to help with anything, which made us feel very welcomed from the moment we arrived. The rooms are spacious enough and extremely clean! Breakfast selection is plentiful and delicious, and served at the top floor of the hotel with a panoramic view of Yangon! The hotel is located around 15 mins from downtown Yangon on a taxi. The pool area is small but very well kept with nice views. In the evenings the pool bar was busy with a nice atmosphere. Not only would I recommend the Jasmine Palace, I would certainly stay there again!

Very good value for money. Clean rooms, great service staff, great hotel.”
Staff are great and courteous. Rooms are clean. Gym is excellent. Free drinks at the gym too! Breakfast is nice at 21st floor. This is our 2nd time staying at Jasmine Palace in Yangon in a span of 4 months. However, traffic to the hotel can be quite bad due to Yangon traffic. But traffic near the city is expected to be like this. Overall, definitely recommend Jasmine Palace as a good hotel to stay for short term visits.

Fabulous place to rest and work”
I was in Yangon for 10 days and could have not made a better decision than staying at Jasmine Palace. Located in the heart of cool neighborhood Sanchaung, it provides the traveller with a great breakfast in the morning and has super available staff - and it was thanks to the ladies at the reception that I learnt about some interesting place to visit while in Yangon. Good gym for some workout, unfortunately the pool was under renovation but looked amazing to me. Highly recommended!

Very good experience”
It was the best hotel experience i have ever had at Jasmine Palace. The hotel was new, and the staff were super friendly and went out of their way to assist you. The buffet breadfast was also good, with the food changing every morning to give variety. The gym and the pool was nice, clean and new. Best hotel in my opinion in Yangon at the moment.

New hotel with modern amenities”
Jasmine Palace Hotel is pretty new, as you can smell the fresh paint and carpet. We like it for the modern amenities, though the first night we arrived, the shower didn't drain, but a handyman quickly came to fix it. However, the shower door didn't have a rubber sealant underneath so water kept spilling outside of the door, which meant a bit of flooding every time you shower. There is an easy fix for this, and I wish they would address it! Otherwise, the hotel is quite nice. The gym and pool on the 5th floor are pleasant and the buffet breakfast is OK (somewhat limited variety compared to say, Inya Lake Hotel, but still pretty good). The location is a bit out of the way, but not staying downtown meant it's quiet (we were on the 16th floor). Definitely get a Burmese version of the hotel address from the hotel staff as some taxi drivers do not know where the hotel is.

Great hotel, but don't do maintenance at night”
Regularly return to Jasmine Palace when I work in Yangon, clean, efficient, good location (for me), excellent breakfast buffet; however, this time they did repairs outside my room from 1-3AM. A five star hotel should have better procedures!

Lovely Hotel”
We enjoyed our four days at Jasmine Palace Hotel, room on the 19th floor with nice view and very well appointed, mini bar with complimentary soft drinks was a nice touch. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful at all times. Very good selection at the buffet breakfast.

Two more nights at my usual place turned out almost perfect!”
I’ve submitted reviews before but I’ve got a couple of things to point out this time. As Myanmar is going through a slump in the tourism sector, all the hotels and motels are receiving fewer tourists from the west and Jasmine Palace seems no exception! And I’ve found out a little cost cutting being practised at the okay, which I understand and appreciate a lot, eg, placing only paper tissues at breakfast, trying to cut down a liitle on toiletries but what I don’t find satisfactory is the towels being washed without using any/enough softening agent and I didn’t get the scent I used to have when I used the towels this time. Having said that, I was generally satisfied with my stay this time too as I always am.

An Oasis in Busy Yangon with Excellent Service”
My dad and I stayed (not "couple") there for 2 nights to start off our trip in Myanmar, and what a great choice this was. We were SO impressed by the attentiveness of the staff there. One of them in particular (sorry, no name..) once helped us get a taxi, the driver turned out he didn't know where he was going and we ended up taking a different one later. Next day, the same staff who helped us checked in to see if everything went okay, perhaps he got the feeling something was not perfect. I explained it to him, and he apologized for the incident, and said he will make sure they don't take that taxi driver again. Once my dad was sitting by the pool reading a book, and he didn't want to order anything. A server still brought out a glass of cold water and a plate of fruit. The high performing staff is just one of the positive sides of the hotel. Rooms are really nicely done, the facilities are super clean and well maintained. Breakfast is done well. The hotel is located outside busy downtown, but still reachable via taxi to/ from everywhere. Considering fare goes for 2000 - 4000 k, pretty much anywhere in Yangon, we were rewarded with peace and quiet. We will stay there in a heart beat next time in Yangon.

Great surprise!”
This was the first hotel we stayed in during our trip to Myanmar and it was wonderful! It is a new hotel, very modern, with clean spacious rooms, a fantastic exercise room, and a huge pool and bar. From our room, we could see the Schwedagon pagoda and skyline of Yangon. Breakfasts were delicious with a large selection of various foods, both Asian and Western. The staff went out of their way to allow us early check-in and then provided good advice for sightseeing and local drivers. After hearing some warnings about hotels in Myanmar, this was a pleasant surprise and the start of a wonderful visit to Myanmar. The location is close to many sights and the value for the price is excellent.

Fantastic experience”
I stayed here for two nights on the final part of my Myanmar tour and I was not disappointed. Check-in was very smooth and it was no issue to have a very early check-in. My room was excellent, it was spacious and very well furnished. The shower was great, water piping hot and the shower quite powerful. The room was equipped with tea/coffee making facilities, a mini bar and a safe that was big enough to store a small laptop. The pool area on the fifth floor was well set out with comfortable seating but unfortunately at some point the staff decided to turn on music that was at a deafening volume and this did for me, spoil the relaxing ambience. The gym is well equipped with all of the latest CV equipment - treadmills, cross-trainers etc. There is also a nice spa area. The breakfast buffet was excellent and you really are spoilt for choice. There is a wide array of food to suit all tastes and everything is kept freshly topped up. My only moan about this was that it was difficult to get served tea/coffee and you had to go out of your way to ask staff to refill your cup. I was given a complimentary voucher for the evening buffet which is quite a new venture for the hotel. Again there was a wide variety of food on offer but disappointingly nothing for the vegetarian. I was offered bread, salad and dessert and that was it. This, I suppose may be ok for a free meal but not at all satisfactory if you are a paying customer. At $24USD per head it is not a cheap way to eat and not one that I would recommend to others staying at the hotel. Staff at the hotel were amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to assist you in any way that they could. Two small moans - the lifts took forever to arrive and the wifi signal was very intermittent. Other than that, I had an excellent stay and if I was to visit Yangon again, I would look to stay here

All in all we enjoyed the Jasmine Palace a lot.”
The hotel is some way from the centre of the city but that has its advantages. It was a clean corner of a polluted city, struggling to regain its place in the world. We all wish Yangon and Myanmar well. We took advantage of of its location both to walk to the sensational Shwe Dagon, surely a Wonder of the World and also to walk along the terrible pavements to catch the equally dreadful but also wonderful Circle Line train. We saw very few tourists walking anywhere or on the train. They missed an experience. The hotel had great views and an excellent breakfast and swimming pool. We also had a much appreciated complimentary buffet dinner one night. The staff were fine and we always were happy to get back to the good order of the hotel from the chaos of city life - which we also loved. The Dalah Ferry, the Circle Line, the Market, the colonial architecture, the pavements were all memorably filthy but one is very scared that they will throw the baby out with the bath water and transform Yangon into another clean and characterless destination. Go now, hold your nose and have fun. The people are wonderful.
