Great location, Friendly staff.”

I unfortunately only had 1 night at Jayleen 1918 Hotel. Was allowed early chckin which was really great and paid extra for a late checkout which I thought was a bit pricey but very convenient for me. After having 3 nights in a budget hotel in Geylang, this Hotel was true luxury. The room was big enough for me and very comfortable. Even had bathroom scales so I could weigh my baggage before heading to airport. Room was very tastefully furnished and clean. Shower and bathroom were great. Location was excellent. MRT and Clark Quay shopping center about 5min walk. Singapore river about same and nightlife area over river. Chinatown is within walking distance. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

We love this hotel very much, definitely will come back: - Very nice smell of shampoo and shower gel - Great hospitality of staff, very responsive and supportive - Nice buffet breakfast with a variety of food, including veggie and fresh fruits - Clean everyday - Room is not spacious, which is very common in Singapore, but full of amenities and well organized - Location is the best, in a quiet Carpenter Street, but only few steps away from Clarke Quay Central Mall and Boat Quay where you can walk along the river, or take the boat, or enjoy nice dinner at various famous restaurant such as Haidilao, Sumo BBQ, Hutong etc. Only 600m from Raffles Place mrt station (direct green line to and from airport), 100m from Clarke Quay mrt station (purple line), 600m from China Town food street Thank you Jayleen 1918, we will come back

Excellent staff”

The staff of Jayleen 1918 particularly at the reception were friendly and very helpful. They answered all our queries with a smile and even helped us with our bookings. The hotel is centrally located. It is near Clark Quay MRT and is within walking distance to Chinatown, Singapore river and Merlion Park. I’ll definitely recommend Jayleen 1918 when visiting Singapore.

Location, cleanliness & helpful staff”

Booked the Executive Family room with two single beds and one queen sized bed and it was perfect for our family of four! Spacious toilet with hot and cold water, free toiletries and a bath tub to soak in after each day's adventure in the city. The room is cleaned daily and fresh towels are issued out daily too. There is a combination safe for your valuables, mini fridge and complimentary water bottles, coffee, tea and crackers. There is a nice view of the city at night on the rooftop perfect for sitting around and having a few beers while planning the following day's trip. :) What we liked most is it's location -- very near Clarke quay MRT station about three stations away from Sentosa island. So we had the convenience of riding the MRT (and a mode of cheap transport to almost ALL places in Singapore) and not stressing the kids out while commuting. All in all, it was a very pleasant and restfull stay in Jayleen 1918. Thanks Irene for everything! 😄👌

Excellent Location, friendly staff”

Jayleen 1918 is tucked away in a quite lane, a stone's throw from Clark Quay MRT and the main buzzing area of Clark Quay. The location is fantastic and the highlight of this hotel is the view that you get from it's terrace. You need to see it for yourself to believe it!. The staff are very friendly and you get the feeling of being at a home away from home. The rooms are spotlessly clean, cosy and very comfortable. Overall, a great value for money option considering the location.

~Nice hotel with period character”

Jayleen is a period hotel from 1918. The front facade is original giving it a nice colonial character. Inside is modernised but still with character in the period style furniture and mirrors. Rooms are a bit on the small side but very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The hotel is only five minutes walk from Clarke Quay with it's waterfront bars and restaurants and only ten minutes away from the bay area. A subway station is at the top of the road making it very easy to go anywhere in the city. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

The staff and accommodations were wonderful! We had been traveling for 7 weeks and this was our last stop (after staying in 17 different hotels in 3 countries) before returning home to the US. Our room was clean with every amenity and we truly felt at home for the week we spent here. When the US announced that all Americans had to return due to COVID-19, we considered staying at Jayleen 1918 indefinitely because we felt so at home. Unfortunately, we had to return home and the hotel made sure they contacted Agoda so that we could be refunded for unused days (even though our booking was non-refundable). Agoda was also wonderful during this difficult situation.

Exceptional”

We had our family vacation last November, and at first i was thinking to look for different hotel since i felt like the hotel were quite so old and I’m afraid that it would give us a bad experience but since I don’t have much time look for another I then proceed with the booking. When we arrived, it seems like it’s ok, an ordinary 3-star hotel, it’s not so bad as i thought. The receptionist are very welcoming and friendly. They assisted us very quicky and give the key and some details of our stay. We entered our room, again I already expected the room would have a classic theme and not so big but what i like about it, the bathroom was big and its very clean, so as the room. We stayed for 4 days and I might say that we had wonderful stay WHY? 1. We always leaving the room in a mess, but we always arrived, with a very much clean room as if no one has been staying there and with a newly fresh towel.. yes everyday they provide us with clean and new towels. 2. They also provide us with pitcher of drinking water and refill the coffees and teas. 3. Me and my husband were smokers since we are in SG we know that it might be difficult for us to look for a smoking area, and luckily they have a smoking area with ash trays in their rooftop. 4. The location is perfect, Clarke Quay mall and the MRT station was just 5 mins walk across the street. 5. On our last night, we arrived at the hotel very late and the weather was very hot and humid and since we already been walking all day and night, I asked Ms. Enan receptionist (I think, as I remember), if it’s possible to give me some ice because we really wanted to drink cold water to feel refresh, she gladly assisted me and go all the way to the kitchen herself to get some bucket of ice. I was soo overwhelmed with the kindness and service that they had given us during our stay and I would definitely come back and highly recommended. Nice, comfortable, affordable”

We spent a very nice four nights at Jayleen 1918 Hotel. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, fast WIFI access as well as a good "Standardbreakfast" (not a huge buffet, but well enough for us). Before booking we read about "small rooms". We chose to stay at a "superior twin room" ... and had no problem about the room-size. We absolutely recommend this Hotel for people who want to stay in a good and affordable Hotel who prefer to spend their money on sightseeing and on good Food.

Jayleen 1918 hotel is a nice little hotel in a very good location near mrt Clarke Quay. The staffs are very friendly and nice to us. The room is a bit small but comfortable. We will come back to stay again if we have a chance.

Singapore Stopover”

The Jayleen 1918 Hotel is very close to Clarke Quay and all that this area has to offer. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was small but we had everything we needed. They also offer breakfast as part of the price for the room. The hotel was quiet and ok for an overnight stay.

Walking distance to many attractions ”

We loved the Jayleen with it's small but comfortable room, lovely cool and silent aircon and huge buffet selection for breakfast. There is so much to do in the area that we only really used the room as a base, but it was a lovely comfortable place to relax after walking around the local area day and night. The Jayleen 1918 will be our first choice when we next visit Singapore.

Best value hotel in the heart of Singapore”

Our second time to stay in this hotel. The room is understandably small, as expected in expensive Singapore, but very clean and the beds are really great for sleeping. Hotel is close to clarke quay mrt (about 5 mins walk) but if you plan on visiting the sites around the city hall area, just walk and cross the bridge and everything is accessible (national gallery, esplanade, etc).

Value for money! We were satisfied with our 5 days stay at the hotel! The location is accessible to the shopping mall and mrt station. They are just accross the hotel. Very near also to china town where you can buy pasalubong and have a taste of local food. The hotel is also very near mc do and burger king and 7 eleven. most of all the hotel staff are great. I would like to commend Albert who helped me out when i had problem with my booking for a show at Singapore. Ms. Wa was also nice. Thanks to you! I would recommend Jayleen Hotel to my friends and relatives!

The perfect place ”

We spent three nights there and we couldn’t ask for better! The room was comfortable and beautiful, the position optimal, in the center and near to mrt. The staff really friendly and helpful and the breakfast various and abundant... we had a great time in Singapore and really enjoyed the stay at jayleen...if you go there don’t miss the amazing view from the rooftop, breathtaking! Really really recommend!

Central location and friendly staff”

3 minute walking distance from Boat Quay and Clarke Quay. 3 minute walking distance to the MRT that connects the whole of Singapore. 10 minute walking distance to the Pier area where the Merlion and other tourist attractions are present. Rooms are small but very cosy and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Feels more like a quaint B&B than a hotel. Will definitely recommend this hotel!

comfort economical stay. ”

This is the 3rd time to stay. Good location at walking distance within clarke quay MRT station (5minutes), to Singapore river (5minutes). Stayed window-less room but just for stay for sleep so no problem. Room is clean, well air-conditioned with TV set. Bathroom is very small but still acceptable for my size (170cm) with minimum requirement with hot water shower. Breakfast is more than expected as this class hotel.

Great Location, decent hotel”

It is obviously not the Peninsula, but it's a perfectly fine hotel at a reasonable rate in a perfect location. Rooms are pretty small and won't accommodate large luggage. The aircon was brand new and the rooms were reasonably clean. Yeah, you can spend double and find a better hotel in Singapore. But if you're visiting for a few days this is the perfect place. MRT and clark quay are less than 5 mins walking away. Hint: Buy a couple of beers at the 7-11 around the corner and get up to the roof top to enjoy a view of Singapore many 5star places don't offer. While there is no service up there (hence 7-11), there are chairs and tables available.

-Stayed in hospital for 4 nights, from 11 to 14 November, 2018. -Mr. Albert and Mr. Eddie Tan are cordial and were very helpful, co-operative and courteous. -Buffet breakfast (7.30 to 11.00 AM), with a large number of varieties to have. In-charge lady was also very active and service oriented. -Room was small but good and cozy. -Housekeeping was also very good. -Go on terrace, if you want to have a drink/ beer under stars and city lights. -Kettle and coffee maker provided in the room. -Metro Station (MRT) Clarke Quay is just 100 mtrs. away. - Big mall, Merlion Park and other beautiful places are located in nearby vicinity. I would like to stay again in the same hotel.

Enjoyable comfortable low cost and convenient”

It was a pleasant low cost hotel , only a few minutes walk from Clarke Quay where there is great dining out by the River. The MRT station is situated nearby as well .China town was only 15 minutes walk away and the whole area around the Hotel was full f interesting things to see. We had a problem one day in our room with the air conditioning system and were immediately moved to a new room with out any fuss. It's a small cosy hotel that suited my friend and I fine.
