I was surprised when saw my room. The hotel gave me and my husband a room in 15F and had 2 double beds. So the room was spacious and having great view. Dinner and breakfast were buffet, abundant variety you could eat. They even offer crab legs which I had spent ¥5400 for 1 leg in Nijo Fish market previous day.

Refurbished, elegant and beautiful. ”
There are several onsen and a huge swimming pool (swim suits) recreation area. The dinner buffet was excelletn. (you can get a nomihodai deal-all your can drink for 60-90 minutes too) I think this is the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. I am a teacher and usually stay at budget places. There was a good discount promotion after their re-opening.

Exceptional”
We loved everything about this hotel except for the smoking room. If we were to come again we would definitely get the non smoking. The half board was amazing and we didn’t have to worry too much about food other than that. Staff were kind and there are convenience stores close by for anything you need.

a bit creepy to walk around by yourself at night ”
The hotel is too huge and although the one that we stayed in was the new building, I think it is considered a rundown facility. too many carpets around the area, I think 80% of the floor is carpet, which makes it too many stains. if you go there with your young children, this is a very good place, because they have many facilities for little children to play around. food was terrible but edible. the best highlight of this hotel is the dining view, I went there during the autumn season and was amazed by the nature view, the hotel location is also close to one of the bridge that presents you with beautiful natural scenery.

A huge onsen hotel”
Everything is huge. So many people dining together but very in order. Food is not be good but okay. Because the hotel is so big that you have to walk a long way to onsen. Since I have been to Japan for so many times that in comparing I didn't enjoy only. Anyway it's a nice hotel but too big to enjoy.

Room was too small and old.”
The room was surprisingingly too small for four people, and it was too old, everything was worn out and shabby. The air conditioner didn`t work enough and it was so hot throughout the whole room and hotel. I was so surprised that we paid over 30,000 for that kind of quality. We have stayed at Jozankei View hotel many other times through the years and this was definitely the worst room that we have had, it was really disappointing, I will look for another hotel in the same area for the next time that we want to stay in the Jozankei area.

Hotel is designed for mass market. Comprised of New and old building. Big place. To go to the onsen, you need to walk a distance. Buffet spread has many varieties however not great. They hired lots of trainees and thus service wasn’t good. Staff do not show warmth.

Great Location and good facilities if you have kids!”
Its an excellent hotel with many facilities like even a swimming park for kids, onsen in basement and even in the rooftop, location is great and rooms have really great views. Buffet dinner and breakfast have pretty good choices. HOWEVER, as its one of the biggest hotel in Jozankei with kids facilities, the main problem is that there is just too many people there, you will spend quite a long time to queue for the buffet dinner, take a long time to wait for the elevator and checking out. The overall feel of the hotel and onsen is much more commercialised and more suited to large groups or couples with family. If its just a couple, there are other quieter hotels with onsen in Jozankei. I would still highly recommend this hotel if you don't mind the crowd.

Good location, good facility especially with children”
Hotel provides free pick up and drop off at Sapporo that makes transfer very easy. My family of 5 (include 1 child) took a Japanese room. The futon beds were very comfortable (especially in the cold winter), the hot spring was great. My child also enjoyed the pool. The food is average, caters to tour groups. Generally we had a good time there.

We stay for a night in this hotel. As it has big capacity of room, so there are many tour groups. Dinner time is full of people and breakfast too. The view from our room is fantastic.

Crowded with young and old. Onsen is good and many choices. Food is bland but ok with the price, staff start cleaning and packing 30min before closing time, so be there earlier or otherwise you may find nothing left in the restaurant. Room is full of smokes, dirts and dated furnitures. This is a very basic hotel, don't expect high and max one night only is recommended.

Comfortable & relaxing to stay”
We have late check in and the only restaurant at the hotel only offer buffet style, but food is not so good. No decent restaurant nearby. We need to drive about 10 min time to get a better restaurant. Many group tour stay in this hotel, so many people. The breakfast is inclusive, also offer buffet style, but food not so good.

Christmas Vacay with Friends”
The onsen was beautiful here! I love the variety of the baths, however it is fun to leave the hotel as well to see some of the other baths around town with more character. hotel has beautiful atmosphere, but we found the restaurants to be hard to navigate and quite expensive so we left the hotel most evenings.
