Excellent Hotel, Very friendly Staff”

i enjoyed my stay at the kp grand, its one of the better hotels in chanthaburi. upon arriving there was a misunderstanding with my booking which they resolved immeadiatley.. the rooms are large and very good considering the area.. the staff always play a very important role in my oponion.. they all were amazing very helpful, polite and friendly.. they geninuely want to make your stay a happy one.. the lovely young ladies working in the beer garden were a pleasure to speak to really friendly, happy ladies who spent time talking to me.. i ate there a few times the food was excellent.. i liked the hotel and the beautiful people who work there.. they make an effort to make you enjoy your stay.. a smile goes a long way.. i am returning this june and will again stay at this hotel.. its great..

value for money”

Another trip to Chanthaburi, another night at KP Grand... Within walking distance to Robinson Shopping Center, local market, taxi stand, gem trade, restaurants. Accross the road there is a 7/11. The hotel is as relaxed as Chanthaburi city, no pushy vendors or scams here. Would you believe that several times vendors refused the tip I wanted to give??? And almost no farangs here... Unfortunately, Chanthaburi does not have much to offer to tourists. But the city (and KP) is an excellent place to relax for a day, perhaps as a stopover between Kampuchea and BKK. And of course it is Thailands best place to buy gems.

We stayed at KP Grand Hotel for 1 night and had very good experience there. The room and bathroom were very clean and nice. The AC and water heater in the bathroom worked properly. All the staffs were very friendly. Surely choose this hotel if visit Chanthaburi next time.

Centrally located to the Gem Market, great staff”

We enjoy the KP Grand for it's old world charm, clean setting, centrally located to the gem market, the shopping centre, and the night market....Food is very plentiful in Chanthaburi and transportation to other areas is very easy to procure......even tho the tourists are few and far between the majority of residents speak English and are eager to help the traveller....we enjoy the sights....the sleeping Buddha in the Wats, the beach, availability to Koh Chang, the mushroom farm, the fruit grown in this area and the availability of many foods and restaurants in this area....there are ancient ruins here to take in and many festivals along with the gem markets.........enjoyed our holiday here.

Good old hotel ”

My grandfather came from Chandaburi and I have many relatives there. Therefore, I have visited Chandaburi almost every year and stayed at K.P. Grand no less than 10 times in my life. I don't like the hotel breakfast buffet. The rest is ok. The price is cheap compared to the features. The location is great.

Excellent”

This is a really good hotel for Chanthaburi. Robinson and several restaurants both foreign and Thai are close by (2 minutes walking), the hotel is quite decent and definitely value for money (don't bother with the pool however, nobody uses it nor is it clean), and it is what you would expect for Chanthaburi at that price. My only complaint if the unreliability of staff. Some are excellent and some simply don't care. Overall, a decent stay.

K.P. Grand Hotel Chanthaburi”

Very nice hotel in central Chanthaburi town, large and clean rooms, nice bathroom, excellent breakfast buffet,good Thai and western food. Friendly staff, would stay there again if in Chanthaburi. Can recommend this hotel.

Great value”

When choosing an hotel i firts look at location and KP Grand Hotel is wonderfully located close to the Cathedral and old Town on one side, and Robinson Shopping Center on the other. Very high building (probably highest in town) offering nice views over the city and surrounding mountains. Staff is wonderful, and there is a large swimming pool (that I did not have time to use due too busy schedule and heavy rain) The restaurant is good but prices a little bit high - but then rooms are so good value that this can easily be forgotten

We live about 30 km outside Chanthaburi, and come to the city regularly for shopping. We then stay 1 night at a hotel. We tried several hotels before, yes one can find cheaper hotels but not the same value for money We love the buffet breakfast (real coffee!!!) and the "old european style" breakfast room. The friday night buffet is a must for lovers of seafood and sushi, and not expensive. And the room offers a bathtub with plenty of hot water.

We stayed at KP again.... We live about 30 km away, in the middle of nowhere, and go to the city for shopping, and to enjoy the comfort of KP. There are several hotels in Chanthaburi, at different prices, but we think no hotel equals KP for value for money.

a surprisingly good hotel with a helpful and friendly staff in an interesting town. if i were travelling through chanthaburi i would certainly stay at this conveniently situated and well appointed hotel. in my experience the breakfast was both well organised, of good quality and provided a more than adequate range of choices ... pity about the jam but that is par for the course in se asia

Biggest hotel in Chanthaburi Better than expected ”

when i saw the photos of the hotel while i was doing my booking. i thought at least it looked like a big hotel, so things should not go wrong - just to stay on the safe side not taking a risk with smaller hotels. but, after staying there, everything exceeds my expectation. the hotel looks better than its photos (which is very rare because, normally, photos are better than real live), the room is very clean, good service, friendly staff, and breakfast is also delicious. overall, i give it 8.5/10 and would strongly recommend it to others.

Modern hotel with comfortable beds and good breakf”

This hotel is probably the best hotel in Chanthaburi with a beautiful reception area. Easy walk to the river and across the bridge to the old town and Gem Street. Walking distance to the famous Catholic Church where the statue of Mary is emblazoned with blue and white sapphires and other semi precious stones. You can hire a car to drive to beach areas and other tourist sights. Our room was roomy and good English channels on TV. Good size bath in bathroom. Language was a bit of a problem but we were able to make ourselves understood. Close to Robinsons Department store and markets. Great jewellery shop part of the hotel complex. Nice pool on third floor. Great views from 18th floor restaurant but we were surprised no one seems to have dinner there even though they had a piano player/singer and two girls who sang also in Englsh and Thai.

I would stay again only for Thitama”

Our stay was just fine in the KP Grande. The rooms were clean, pool area was nice, the free wifi was fast, and the free breakfast was okay but had good enough options. Why I am really writing this review is for the first relations advisor Thitama. When we met her she asked us what we were doing in Thailand as Americans. We told her that we were looking for positions as English teachers. After that he called the department of labor for us, compiled a list of local schools, and even called the schools for us and served as a Thai to English translator. Her assistance and compassion toward the guest was more than I could have ever imagined. In addition to helping my friend and I find jobs she made us feel at home and was always happy to help with any inquiries. Again I can't say enough wonderful things about this woman.

Solid choice in Chantaburi”

Just a couple blocks away from Robinson department store, the KP Grand is the tallest building in Chantaburi. It is perfect if you end up stuck in Chanthaburi - clean, comfortable, helpful staff (particularly Thatima) with good language skills, and parking if you need it.

this is the highest hotel in chanthaburi. near by robison shopping center. in this hotel there are chinese and thai food. infront of the hotel there are japannese restaurant and big book store. under ground there are many shop selling suvaniours especially made by jemes..(jewery) at night on the roof top you can have a drink and listen to the good music.

The rooms, the swimming Pool...”

We booked 2 times with a week in between, First time it was a Superior tween room in the 12th floor, really decayed and missing maintenance. (the bathtub was in really bad shape looking and the furniture looked old. We did not enjoyed but the price was only 1.070 TBH though Agoda. This time the water in the Swimming poll was quite dirty. The second time we chose a Deluxe Tween room and paid through Agoda 1.500 BTH. This time we got the 12th floor. really nice room everything looked perfect and some extras like coffee & tea with a water cooker and even a hair dryer. This room was very nice indeed. The stuff in the reception and the restaurant were really nice and we got super service. The reception gave us tickets to use the Fitness room without paying 100 BTH each for it. If we coma around Chantaburi again, this will be our Hotel. We recommend it strongly. This last time the Pool was clean for swimming and we did just that.

i always stay at this hotel when coming to Chanthaburi. I think is 1 of the best hotels in Chanthaburi. It's only 5 minutes walking to the weekend gemstone market. 3 minutes walking to the travel office which will take you back to Bangkok with minivan.
