We found a great deal on this site and jumped on it and we feel that we lucked out in every possible way. Easy to find the place, super clean, very well thought, the facility has well equipped self-catering kitchen, eating area with lounge, very good information board. If you forget to bring cords for your phones, you can rent them with 1000 yen deposit. McDonald's, Lawson, Mini Stop convenience stores nearby, and walking distance to many eateries. The reception can give you a map of places to eat, and a very useful map of Kyoto and give you great advice. We were satisfied beyond our expectations. I will stay at K's House in different locations in Japan in the future. I would advise everyone to use this hostel clean so that they can keep the cost down.

Best Choice in Kyoto”
If you're looking to save money and have somewhere safe to stay I highly recommend K's House. I have stayed here before and always come back. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. One thing I really enjoy is they have a very big functional bath tub. I prefer to take baths versus showering so this was very nice. The staff is super friendly, available to help you if you have any questions. I had to ship a box of stuff to my next hotel and the staff did everything they could to help me with that. I am truly grateful for their service. I also got really lucky by staying on a not so busy day and there was only one other person in my dorm room. Also please check out the roof top for a beautiful view of Kyoto!

THE BEST HOSTEL IN KYOTO!”
Stayed with them for three nights and it was such a shame I only did. K’s House Kyoto is best hostel I ever stayed at in Japan for my 10 days trip as a solo traveler. I arrived early in Kyoto as I took the night bus and the reception was open at 7AM. Asked them to store my luggage before check in and they offered me to use the bathroom which was oh boy! amazing! A hot & cold shower and tub (on the second floor). I had a good conversation with the staffs learning more about Japanese cuisine and history, they’re pretty fluent in English. What makes it more lovable is the bed, ugh made it harder for me to get up early. Met a lot of backpackers here and had late night conversations as everyone’s hanging out at the lounge area. Location-wise: 10-15 mins walk to Tokyo Station and a bus stop away to tourist spots. Cleanliness is natural for them, it was top-notch for a hostel. Tip: Be there at 7PM in Zen Cafe for the happy hour on the cocktails and check the view on the rooftop at night. 👌🏼

Close to Kyoto Station”
I really enjoyed my stay I extended it day by day. It's close enough to the main train station (10 minute walk) so you aren't lugging your luggage -no pun intended- all around Kyoto. The common area is quite large with plenty of books and resources to plan your trip if you haven't already. I had the JR pass which runs out of Kyoto station which was convenient. Everything is quite clean and the staff start to air out and clean the rooms at 11am which I appreciate. They have a coffee shop and bar attached with a fantastic happy hour prices for kyoto/ japan standards, so meet some people head down and have a drink or two! Cheers

A friendly hotel”
I stay at this hotel for 3 nights with my friends, and it was a good experience. This hotel are close to Kyoto Station, and we can take a bus fromt the halte near to this hotel. The hotel are very clean, the shower room and the toilet very clean. And they have a special event sometimes for the visitor like make sushi together. And the living room is a brilliant idea for all visitor to know each other. Love this hostel.

One of the best places I have stayed at! The staff are so friendly and so helpful and keen to promote their city. It has a great lounge and kitchen and lots of showers and toilets. The bar is great and another way to meet more people. It is very clean. I highly recommend this great hostel!

Great place to stay in Kyoto”
We had a very comfotable stay in mixed dorm room in here. Location is so convenience which 1 km from Kyoto station and close to bus stop which 100m walking. Staff are so helpful. Love the living room on 2nd floor. Defenitly gonna stay here if i have chance to be back Kyoto. Highly recommend!

Exceeded our expectation”
About 10 mins. walk to Kyoto Station. So clean, rooms are also big. All staffs are wonderful. Bathrooms and toilets are clean. Kitchen is complete with all the basic things needed for cooking. will definitely stay here again with friends with friends, though recommendable also for families.

We booked K's hostel last minute (we changed our hostels) and it was the best decision we made haha. I think this literally was the best hostel we've been to in my whole travel life lmao. A waste I didn't get to experience the oporu tho (i forgot the spelling!!) Located in the 2nd floor. All the staffs are very welcoming tho and super helpful with us in our itinerary!!!! Will surely book here again when I come back (and i will)!!!!!! ❤

Great Backpacker Area for Tourist and Traveler”
I Arrived at kyoto station in the morning using midnight bus..the hostel was not a really near the station if you look at the google map closely..need a bit excercise if you're walking..but you can always take a bus or cab it much easier...very clean area..the staff were amazing and they can speak english pretty well...they have complete tourist information which is very helpful large common room and have a lot very cozy sofa to relax and hang arround with new friends.. sleepnig room very organized and quiet which is good to help you rest after long journey...overal good place to stay for budget travelers

The cleanest Hostel, ever!”
We had a great time at K's Hostel. This has to be the cleanest place you would ever see. They have very friendly and helpful staff (well versed in English, which was a big PLUS). I would recommend it to anyone staying in Kyoto. We had a private bunk bed room, so not sure about the dorms. The only thing I would add is the quality of breakfast next door in the cafe was very average. It was not worth the money. This is not a party hostel and didn't find other travels interested in making friends. I guess there are a few students who live here on a long term basis. All in all, a great place to stay for a few nights in Kyoto.

Staff are super helpful and place is super nice.”
Although we only stayed for a night, the staff were super helpful and friendly. We lost ome of our bags on the way to Kyoto, from Osaka. Upon arriving to the hostel, the staff checked us and also assisted us by contacting the railway staff to look for our bag(language barrier is for real) It was found immediately and we cannot thank Yasu-san enough for his immense help. The place has clean and useful facilities. They offer a bike rental service at a low price at. Super love the color and look of the place and will surely book this place again

Great place and good value for money. It's pretty spartan, but if you want a clean safe place to sleep, it's great. Staff are amazing. One put together a mini booklet (folded, and stapled and everything) for restaurant recommendations based on some questions. So great. Very much recommend this as a place to stay.
