Location: The hostel is located within 5 mins walk from the train station and bus station. Cleanliness: The hostel is very new and clean. I slept on clean futons on a tatami in the female dorm. Staff: The staff is extremely welcoming and nice. I had a great time talking to them after my day trip. I wish I could have stayed for longer. Facilities: There's a bar on the bottom floor. It also offers breakfast.

I spent a wonderful time in Kamakura GH! Staff is amazing and the place is simply beautiful ( very old Japanese style house) With Japanese style bedroom ! It is an experience to make !The kitchen is awesome and make you wanna cook ! There’s a small bar downstairs very convenient and friendly ! Very nice nice place. I recommend ! 👍👍👍

Best place to Get away from crowded city ”
It's very warm and cozy, especially the shared living room. Felt like I lived with a Japanese family Jun, the receptionist, is very artistic, he brings the soul to this place. Highly recommend if you want to stay away from a crowded city and have some good moments on your own !

I genuiely had lots of fun staying here for 1 night as i was lucky to gather around the traditional Japanese cooking fire, listen to this cool Japanese staff playing guitar and talk to the local elders. It was a reallyncozy and heart warming experience that i will never forget. Thanks for making it happen.

It feels like staying at a home away from home. Everyone (both staffs and guests) was really friendly and you could spend the night chatting over the fireplace without ever feeling uncomfortable. Place was easy enough to locate and very clean. Would highly recommend to stay here :)

Nice interior. Great space to socialize with other fellow traveler or staff. Kamakura is a great place to explore with bicycle. You can easily rent them here or bring your own.

Very kind and warm staff. They are very helpful and welcoming. Guests and staff gather around the stove, chitchat, share snack and drinks. It's cozy and heartwarming, a great experience. (at a bargain for backpackers~) The location is a bit inconveninent though, not close to the main stations and need to take a short bus ride. Maybe a bit difficult for those who don't understand Japanese (or kanji, Chinese readers should be fine). Will definitely come back if visiting Kamakura/Enoshima again.

It is only used during the winter (from October to March). Guests and staff enjoy food and drink conversations around the IRORI. It's good to be able to meet and interact with foreigners while traveling. Memories are souvenirs. If you have chance to visit Japan again, please come back here.

The guesthouse facilities are tip top and comfortable - the tatami mat, the futon, the pillow.. They do not provide towel though. Shower and toilet are clean. The staffs are remarkably friendly and helpful. They have activities every night at the common room that you can join to learn some Japanese culture!

A good experience to stay in a traditional homey Japanese house”
The house is a traditional ryokan. It is not in the best location as there is not much around the neighborhood. But the staffs were very friendly and helped to create a homey atmosphere. Unfortunately the night I stayed a gentleman snores loudly for the whole night and kept everybody awake but this is out of control of the property. There were heavy trucks running by the house which also create a lot of noise.

Nice place to sleep”
Pros: Bus stop right down the street will take you to Kamakura Stn , Fujisawa or Ofuna Stations to get on/off trains bound for Hakone area or Tokyo. If you are planning to do Kita-Kamakura, it's a short bus ride to Kamakura Station, then either JR Train or walk to Kira-Kamakura. Luggage storage & small private locker available. I only booked the room to have a place to nap prior to my late night flight, so I didn't check out much of the facilities besides my tatami mat & pillow. :-)

Staffs are very welcoming. They are ready help and listen. Renting a bike is good way to soak up the Kamakura spirit. Very Japanese neighborhood vibe all over. Many individual Japanese travelers are staying for summer sports in beach area. Bath room, shower, bed is all clean. Just like what you would see in nice hotel. Great guest house with amazingly good mood and helpful staff. Location a bit far from Kamakura center but just taking a bus is enough and takes 10 minutes. I strongly reccommend this japanese style guest house if you visit Kamakura and want to get the best of your staying.
