Great place for all ages”
Took 3 kids to this hotel for 4 nights. The pool is great and the surroundings are very nice. Was a bit disappointed with the cost needed to pay for the pool side tables and seats. And the restaurant is pricy and not very suitable for kids. But the onsen area is nice. It’s a relaxing place.

My parents were visiting me in Japan and we stayed at the Kawana so they could see the area and the ocean. They loved it, and I loved how easy it was to stay with them here.

Wonderful historic resort.”
Absolutely gorgeous property in a beautiful location. Of note however, the swimming hole is available for use for surcharge and the main dining room which is quite pricey is very casual in terms of what is allowed in attire.- most diners were still in their golf clothes .

The hotel is nice. Staff needs to learn english and be faster. The pool is awesome. the SPA, damn, I d go again for these last 2 things. But if I go again, I wouldnt eat there. Expensive for what it is with poor service. I d rather eat out and cab back to the taxi

Is a cross between poitot miss marple and the shining with its olden sytle libraries, billiard room and large rpoms and hallways. Watch out for the ghosts. Heres Johnny....

Excellent”
Wer nach einem traditionsreichen, stolzen Hotel in wunderschöner Lage am Meer sucht und sich am mittlerweile leicht angestaubten Charme nicht stört (oder gerade diesen sucht), für den ist dieses Hotel ein Traum. Man sieht, dass das Gebäude nach 90(! ) Jahren mittlerweile in die Jahre gekommen ist, die Fassade und die Flure hier und da bröckeln. Andererseits ist der Badebereich brandneu und großartig. Das größte Lob hat aber das Personal verdient, das wirklich alles tut, um einem den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Auch für Familien mit Kindern ist das Hotel absolut zu empfehlen.

品格が落ちた”
大昔50年前の高校生の頃、頻繁に来ていました その当時に比べてホテルの格が落ちたように思います その理由はゴルファー 当時は滞在の中にゴルフがありましたが、今はゴルフありきになっています そのせいかな？ 宿泊と食事は常に分けていて夕食付きのパックはパスしています 別に予約したメインダイニングでのディナー、「スペシャリテは？」と担当ウエイターに尋ねるとキョトンとしている(笑) 妻はアワビステーキ、私は魚のポワレを頼みましたが 味は団体旅館のレベル しかしホスピタリティはとても良かったです ただ、メインダイニングの席が詰まり過ぎ ファミレスみたいでした(笑)

本館のオーシャンビュープレミアムツインに宿泊しました。随所に歴史を感じさせながらも、2020年にリニューアルされた客室は、広々としたバルコニーが気持ち良く、夜は満点の星空を眺めながら眠りにつきました。暖かい季節にまた訪れてみたい場所です。
