Find hotels near Kempas in Johor Bahru, Malaysia

Overall its ok, staff nice, room clean and location is good with many restaurant around. But a bit confuse that 3 days before my stay, i call the hotel n they told me i got 1 room, but i did book 3 Family Quad and 2 Executive Room with Agoda n i have made full payment. Then they help me to reserve it. After arrive at the hotel, i check in a Family Quad room (4 person room) first as they the other rooms not yet ready. But when i enter the room, i notice that they give me a FAmily Triple room that not the same (room and price) as i book from Agoda. Then i immediately call reception counter n they told me as they only have 2 Family Quad in this hotel…. Really confusing me, if they only have 2 Family Quad in this hotel, then y they accept my booking and payment for 3 Family Quad room? End up i only stay 2 Family Quad and 1 Family Triple Room N no refund for that.

I enjoyed my stay at Ferda. I think the hotel worth your money spent. It is a new hotel. At the time of my visit, the place is very clean and comfortable to sleep. If you are hungry, you can eat at a Chinese restaurant next to the hotel. However, if you are looking for halal food, there is an Indonesian restaurant one or two blocks away but the food is very expensive for a bad taste. So, you may need to travel further away from the hotel. During my stay, it was noisy sometimes due to the other tenants who making loud noise (The room is not sound proof, so please consider others when staying there) but that is dependent on other tenants. The hotel is a bit isolated than the main road. So, you won't hear the traffic.

I've travelled to several places and am always curious to try out all sorts of accommodation, from high end 6 star suites to basic backpackers' lodge, and there's always something that stays with you from each place. Eco bnb is unique! From the moment I stepped into the pretty, predominantly white house, I felt at home straight away. Yes, I'd like to call it 'vibes', and this beautiful yet unpretentious place gives out all the positive vibes. It is a great choice for a hideaway(travel solo), getaway(couple time) or stayaway(family or group). Because it's so peaceful, tucked away in an upscale residential neighborhood, and safe for young girls like me, but still not too far from downtown, booking a taxi or uber is super easy. I love the go-green upcycle philosophy behind the furniture, decor and beds, and to know that my spending here goes into the founders' avid animal-rescue mission. Thank you, Eco, for your commitment to street cats, we've lots to learn!

Good: 1) Security is very strict (Which is a good thing ;)) 2) Nice area (Higher class part of JB) 3) Nice big fridge 4) Ironing board + iron provided 5) Washing Machine provided 6) Electric Kettle to boil water 7) Cutlery provided 8) Blankets provided 9) Toiletries provided (Shampoo, Soap) 10) Hangers are provided in the closet Bad: 1) Although the apartment is clean and only have very minimal furniture, there were big fat cockroaches running around (We do not know where they are coming from...) 2) Pillows offer no neck support at all (Very very very thin) 3) There was 1 bedroom which has NO AIRCON (This information was not conveyed on the website at all) So 1 of my friend had to sleep in the hall (Couch was not comfortable as well) just to enjoy the aircon in the living room 4) I was asked to speak in Mandarin while setting an appointment for key collection. I do not speak/read Chinese hence I had to ask a friend to convey the message for me. Host's English is very basic. 5) Toilet roll- Upon checking in, I noticed the toilet roll at the common bathroom only had 1/4 remaining tissue paper left (very very little! Although we only stayed for 1 night- we needed more than that as 4 people had to share 1/4 toilet roll...Can you imagine?),Master bedroom toilet had a fresh roll. Upon that, no tissue box was provided at all. Overall: Really good for the price :)

Located at a new apartment building. Dsummit Residence in Kempas, Johor. The rooms and bathrooms are clean. Complete with free wifi, tv with satellite channels, kitchen with pans, plates and utensils, washing machine, air cond and hot water (for masterbedroom only). Theres towels, and iron. The host was pleasant and helpful. Located near Setia park (about 5 min drive) with many shops, restaurants and mamaks. The apartment comes with a swimming pool, gym and playground. Parking is provided. I do recommend that they put locks for the windows especially if theres children and another hot water for the outside bathroom. Otherwise, this apartment was awesome!! My family enjoyed staying here and the view was pleasant. We will definitely come again as the price was very much affordable. Thank you agoda and KG Residence

Our residence was supposed to be Sky Peak but we were put in D'Summit Residences. It was just barely furnished with very poor quality linen and furniture. Had no wi-fi though the router was there and connected. The master bedroom toilet was blocked and backed up. Poor accessibility and assistance to the desk personnel (who are located 2 km away in another development) to complain or assist in our problems.

My colleagues & I stayed here over a duration of 4 days The 1st day we were made to check in 1 hour later at 4pm, the care taker who was made aware that we were waiting out at the guard house only came to welcome us after an hour of waiting under the hot sun with our luggages. The common bathroom nearby the kitchen had a rather foul sewer or sulphur-like smell coming from the toilet. WiFi isn't provided unless asked for, we were given a portable modem upon request on the 2nd day of our stay, the owner gave us a bag of fruits , that was a nice gesture indeed. The pillowcases and bed spread provided look seasoned and yellowed, the caretaker provided us with new pillowcases on our 2nd day of stay upon request. The heater in the master bedroom is non functional, we had already made a complaint on the 1st day of our stay sadly the heater was not repaired, the caretaker had informed us that the owner as compensation was willing to give us a refund, to date no such compensation has been made
