Great hostel close to the beach. ”
Super relaxed hostel, really nice courtyard / communal area with the reception and a bar. Lots of cats and chickens running around. Breakfast was a good price and really nice. They also had a happy hour in the evening for drinks. Super close to the beach and lots of shops and restaurants (Thirstday is great for watching the sunset on the beach with a drink or dinner, little bit pricier than others but lovely food). Grab works well in the area.

Quiet and relaxing”
Its very quiet you can have a peace of mind staying here. The staff are so friendly and the cats too! Tea and coffee available here. Beach is just across the main road. Great stay!

Great vibes, could use a touch up”
The place is a very old fashioned hostel, looks like how hostels were a decade or two ago. Despite this, the place remains to be very popular and has many guests all the time. The hosts were very friendly and the other guests were amicable too. I think they could do a little housekeeping like some gardening so the plants stay clear of pathways, and perhaps buying new sheets. What I liked the most were the vibes though. Correct bungalow with aircon and hot water. A bit old but fair enough for the price.

Overall just ok”
Room was unclean. Receptionist was lovely The tables area in the center were nice although maybe because of the pandemic there wasnt quite a social scene we were hoping for. They say not to put tissues in the toilet of the shared bathroom but dont provide lids on the bins which is not very female/menstruator friendly. It needs a bit of renovation (as do many places after the effects of the pandemic)

It is OK only for one night”
Basic accommodation, only one night is OK. But, you feel suffocating If stay here more than one night. Maybe, in the next journey to Langkawi, I will try find out another Guest House. Thank you so much, Gecko Guest House.

Environment”
I like green environments but too much plants which over shadow the place and to many cats which make smells of cat shit. This is something the owner can fix easily. Good things - Good location

Weird place. It could be really really nice, but we had a weird private room with fan. It was hot inside and only a fan. It smelled and had mold. Not sure. we left on the first day as we could not stay there coz of the heat inside the room. Also windows could not be closed and we did not have something to put up a mosquito net.leaving was no problem, though. Staff was understandable and nice.

Very beautiful and chill out place ”
We stayed at gecko guesthouse for ten days and could have even stayed longer. The place is beautiful and because of the big outside area it’s easy to meet people and talk to other travelers. The rooms are small but very clean and the bed is very comfy. Thanks to the staff. They gonna help you whenever you need. We have had a beautiful time and would come here again 👍👍👍
