kind of old, but still has everything necessary”
the place was a little run down... there were ants crawling everywhere. but the room had everything necessary for a short stay. location is good in that its near the city center, but kind of scary at night for female travelers... (depends on the day of the week)

Great location, but noisy backpackers”
I got a promotion rate of night for an apartment. The resort has two sections: one has the dormitories, the other are apartments. My one-bedroom apartment is spacious, but it is near the dormitories, so it was rather noisy at night. This place is simple and basic, and is good enough for a comfortable stay. The cushion covers on the chairs need a wash, though. I covered them with towels before I dared sit on them! I stayed three nights and the cleaners only emptied the trashbin, and did not change my towels or sweep the floor.

Decent budget hotel”
Hotel was very basic. Had a fridge, sink, and four beds. Reasonably priced, though there were only two of us. If in a bigger group it would be a better deal.

Fantastic location, clean and tidy.”
couldn't have asked for a better location. 2 blocks to everything! stayed in a 2 bedrm unit. it had a small kitchenette, large bathroom, lounge area and 2 large bedrooms with 3 singles and a queen. staff were friendly and helpful, no noise issues from other guests and a pool 2 steps away. it was perfect for us and we ended up staying an extra night as we were quite comfortable.

neat & tidy”
stayed here for 11 nights walking distance to town and the hospital. The room was a 1 bedroom with a seperate bathroom and lounge.It has a microwave and a kettle so you can not cook a decent meal. There is a camp kitchen but not very big,Overall i had a peaceful stay and the staff were always helpful, only had one night when i was woken up by screaming ,so pretty good. Would recomend if you are not a tofy nose..

Great Location, Friendly Service”
We stayed at the resort for 4 nights.the beds were clean, but we found a lot of ants at resting area. However, there were only two towels for four of us. The television was also a bit small, but that was alright. The only place to cook was on a barbeque which was not very good. Overall, it was good.

Stayed for one night. The hostel is ok. Got a really nice mail because I was arriving quiet late. Thanks for that! Kitchen facilities are really less. There are not even any kind of cups, plates... Beside that everything was fine. Clean, good location, not that expensive...

Budget Hotel and location near Cairns central”
Room is spacious but no cleaning or room service during our 3 nights stay. Jetty and train station are within walking distance from Hotel. Supermarket and food courts are close-by. Don't expect too much for this budget hotel.

grotty budget rooms”
The rooms were grotty and the room stank. We actually bought an airfreshner! There is only 1 a/c and that is in the bedroom, at the bed level and it looks like the filters are never cleaned and mouldy. Nothing was cleaned while we stayed there, just new (old) towels and trash emptied. We stayed in an apartment, but there were no utensils or cooking capabilities. Only toaster and microwave. We used the kitchen on the other side, but it was nasty and gross, things spilt over the place and no utensils. You had to rent them from the front desk. The pool looked like a science experiment. The front desk has limited hours, but the young backpackers that work there try hard. You cant beat the location and price though. But, if you look around there are more opetions around the same price.

the location is really good, it is located in the central of the city but the hygiene of the room is not good at all. cockroaches and ant in the room. and also the bed sheet is dirty.

Good but noisy”
The accommodation was adequate but there was a lot of noise from the swimming pool area below (where people gathered and swam after the 7pm deadline). We were provide with one piece of soap and no coffee, tea or milk supply in the room.

1. Booking details had not been relayed by Agoda so Koala were not expecting us. 2. The property could not be classified as a resort even by the losses terms. 3. No beach near the property. 4. The property was not suitable for elderly Visitors. 5 Very difficult to move luggage up the stairs. 6. This property is ideal for backers or younger person who is looking for cheap. Cheap stay. Booked for a twin room and as the booking was not relayed there weee no twin rooms Available. Had to sleep on the sofa bed.

well located holiday flat with a small swimming pool. The kitchen equipment was a bit poor, only a microwave,a kettle and a toaster, no cooker and not enough cutlery. But, overall it's ok.

this place is a fleapit. the bathroom was filthy, the room was barely clean, the bed was terrible, the a/c was noisy, i wouldn't risk eating something that had been within 5ft of the microwave. the communal area was like something from a hoarders tv show, with dirty plates and rubbish everywhere. the pool is a masterpiece, they have managed to design the building so the sun never reaches it, its always cold and the area around it dirty. i cannot advise against this hotel strongly enough
