great location good relax”

this is my first time at koh Chang and i kinda like it this hotel is good location right on the beach good view and clean room but i don't like the car parking. the restaurant is very good many choices and delicious

nice hotel”

our stay was very comfortable, i stayed with my wife and 1 child and 1 infant in a small room but very clean and nice. the only thing negative about this hotel is their TV inside room is small and not so many channel but that was not a big issue cause we not intended to stay inside room, we just stayed for rest and for sleep and i really recommend it to everyone as it is nice and cheap and first i was hesitant after i read few bad comments but once we were there we saw it was completely different from few people's comment. Maybe some had a bad stay due to certain things but we had a great one and i will stay there again if i ever go back to KOH CHANG

Great Hotel Location really helpful friendly staff”

Quaint little resort, upon arrival was upgraded to beach view from hillside room, first rooms had twin beds, which was no problem to change the room to double on 4th floor instead of twins on the 2nd. Breakfast is basic, but better if you are there first, things seam to run out quickly. Need a sunbed rule, people place towels on beach sunbeds early and seam to disapear for most of the day, leaving no beds for anyone who actually wants to use them. I would say 10 people max on sunbeds at any one time leaving 30 or so unusable with people 'reserving' them with their towel. (Many Europeans do this) In between white sands and lonley beaches, which is great as you are out of the busy loud areas, with easy access to drive there when you want to go. Many sontail vans able to taxi you about too. West side of island, so great sunset here! I would go back here anytime on a slight budget, this hotel is good, but could do with a renevation of some areas, but not bad! 7 out of 10!

nice hotel”

stayed for a few nights. did not feel like a 4 star hotel. beach was very clean and really close. stayed in a bungalow right on the beach. room was nice, a little bit on the small side. hotel was a lot older and needed renovations. hotel breakfast was included but was not very big compared to other hotels we have stayed in the Koh Chang area.

Nice place to stay with young children”

A lovely little bungalow clean with sufficient facilities. The resort itself was next to the water which was great and the buffet breakfast was varied and tasty. The restaurant was a little over priced but there were many low cost options within walking distance so not a huge problem. A huge bonus for us as parents with a 2year old was the restaurant had a play area inside meaning that we could eat breakfast while our son was safe and happy. The only downside was the beach area and the sun loungers which were 'reserved' very early every morning and often frustratingly empty. There were not nearly enough to go around and no other shade in the area directly in front of the resort so we had to walk quite far down the beach to reach a shady area. Not a huge problem but something to consider if you are travelling with older people, very young children or more than one kid.

Good Value”

Cant understand some of the bad reviews, I think some peoples expectations are placed too high for a hotel in this price bracket. Travelling with a group of 9 including children and stayed in the beachfront bungalows, great experience that wouldn't be afforded in other '4 star' hotels. The swimming pool was small,unattractive, poorly located,in the shade for most of the day and hence wasn't much used by anyone. The bigger hotel next door had a massive pool ;-). Klong Prao is really nice but quiet - would split a week between the busier white sand beach area.

Great location, friendly service”

Stayed two nights in this hotel, was very pleased, very comfortable rooms and hotel staff were happy for me to check out late at no extra charge. I would happily return to this hotel on my next trip to Koh Chang. Minibar in room is priced the same as 7/11.

Kingdom of filth in a great location”

We stayed at the hotel over the New Year. Pros: 1) Awesome location just in the middle of Klong Prao beach, next to a very good Flora-i-Talay restaurant, 2) Room have all the necessities: hot/cold water, air conditioner, stallite TV, mini fridge, wardrobe with hangers) haird-dryer etc., 3) rooms are being cleaned every day, shampoos replaced every day etc., 4) IMPORTANT: surprisingly this hotel offers beach towels. Cons: 1) VERY old hotel. No cleaning can help here, absolutely no - only full renovation. This place made me feel like I'm thrown back in time 2 times further than the year i was born, everything looks like in US in 1950s! You can feel the smell of 'old ladies' in the room, if you know what I mean. 2) Beach of this hotel is not wide enough and doesn't offer enough sunbeds and umbrellas for all of the clients, so we had to go to territory of other hotels. 3) As mentioned several times before - too many Russians. They rush to the beach early in the morning to 'book' all of the sunbeds with beach towels. We also saw one men stealing water from room-maids cart. Water costs 10 THB.... Anyways, I think that it's still decent value for money because of this awesome location, nevertheless, we saw one more hotel on the same beach for the same price but the amenities looked better. I would not come back there again, but I think it's a proper place to stay if you need to save money. Thanks anyways ))))

Satisfactory, too expensive, good beach”

Two positives, the excellent beach and the room was clean, everything else was second rate. The rooms are outdated and need refurbishment e.g. no internal telephone system so if you need room service, you have to go down to reception or use your mobile. The bathroom door was rotting, the balcony door didn't shut properly and was banging in the wind all night, as was the roof of the adjacent bungalow. The lock on the main door was inadequate and looked as if it had been forced at some point, there was no safe in the room, only at reception. The decor was old and "used". Numerous lightbulbs in the corridors had broken and had not been replaced. The wifi coverage was not sufficient and didn't reach our room which meant we had to sit out in the corridor in order to get a connection. We are non-smokers but the room had obviously been used by smokers before, judging by the smell and the burn marks on the under blankets. Not, by any means what I would expect for the price we paid - I know there is better accommodation available on Koh Chang for half the price - I won't be staying at this hotel again.

Felt deceived by hotel ”

Booked for me and friends because of location price and proximity to the beach, the hotel looked great for the money then when we arrived we told we were not in main hotel but a 5 storey one star block 350 yards across a main road, this was not cool and although the room was clean and had ac the shower had a mind of its own in every room, boiling hot then cold fast then trickle great ! The good points are lovely beach great staff please make sure you know where your room is as I feel I could have got similar closer to beach for half the money

Pleasant quiet stay”

We stayed out of season and in the week days we had the resort to ourselves it was busier at the weekend but not too busy. The beach was good and in the evening we could walk along it in either direction to find a restaurant for dinner. We enjoyed our stay.

great to stay here”

I like this hotel, it’s new and clean. Co Chang Paradise hotel is staying in the beautiful tropical park. May be the swimming pool is too small for this hotel. Not enough sun chairs near the swimming pool. Sometimes you couldn’t find a free place near the pool. Breakfast is good but ordinar.

Okay but no 'Wow' factor!”

Great facilities, food and beach. The place could do with a refurbishment then it would be a lot better. Not very good WiFi either and some parts of the resort are dirty. Fantastic location on the beach and entertainment in the evening overlooking the beach is great. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Good value for money.

Average option on a nice beach”

This hotel definitely had its good and bad points - here is a summary: Good - very nice beach, excellent food at the beachfront restaurant, helpful staff Bad - very slow service at the restaurant, the room we had for the first night effectively had no hot water (we changed rooms for the second night), no restaurants within walking distance of the hotel (other than the hotel restaurant)

WONDERFUL BEACH AND SEA VIEW.”

The hotel has a great location, beautiful beaches, clear water, but what I do not want a friend to stay here cause is. Foreign guests who come to stay. Some people was very good (just a few). Mostly bad habits rude people. No presumptuous people around who stay together. Sit on the beach all day smoking. People who want some fresh air from the sea will never get it. Although sleep time, people who smoke also have a smoking in front of their room, making the smoke floated into the room. This cause our family especially our children were coughing heavily throughout the stay. If possible, hotel should plant more big tree for shade larger than this. Tks.

Great location, facilities and staff!”

Great location if you want to be away from the central point however still want the option with a short taxi ride. Hotel has great facilites and basically the beach is your backyard. Location is close to everything you need such as shops, bars and restaurants etc. The staff are friendly and helpful and serve you with a smile. They also speak ok English which goes a long way! Our rating below is based on a discounted rate which was about half of the normal rate!

Pro's: good location on the beach side. Some of the premium rooms are right on the beach. The ocean view rooms in the multistory building probably have some great views as well. The nightly BBQ on the beach is very good and priced are surprising low. Con's. Rooms are 15 years outdated, typical for this island, build it, forget it. The breakfast buffet is for asians. Westerns have scant choices. Fried egg, fruit, coffee and juice. no bacon, no hash browns, no pastry as compared to many tables loaded with asian food. DJ, music played at the restaurant and beach is mind boggling horrific. In the span of an hour on January 21, 2018 in the evening. Frank Sinatra "White Christmas", Micheal Jackson Thriller, Some rap crap, Thai pop music. You could not have come up with a worse blend , just annoy everyone overwhelming bad music cranked up with too much bass. am, takes a break and comes back from 6pm until 10pm every day and you hear it at all the best rooms.

yes! location is the be and end all of this hotel, if you want to chill out. If you want to walk out for night life, then you will have a big walk!. nothing really around it. Bart buses on main road though. if you want the main hotel with a little walk down to the beach, book a superior room. Other wise your across the road in the hill side. breakfast ok, eating right next to the sea. rooms old but ok clean. remember your next to the beach, so your gonna have sand in your room!.

Nice clean resorts. Nice beach. Helpfully staff. Good food on breakfast. Ya I will go there again.
