Away from the hustle”

Bungalow is simple but really you don't need more. The place is beautiful, the beach right in front is for me the best part of the beach too. Sea is amazing, and its as if it was your private sea to swim in. They have massage as well. The staff is nice, helpful when you need as well. The restaurant is offering a simple food menu, but you have also other possibilities on the beach, the best one for food was Bungalow Seafood restaurant,just beside the hotel.

On a dream beach”

+nice bungalow. Food was good, staff nice. Beach lounges were great. Other hotels didn’t have any. The part of the beach in front of the bungalows is very nice as there are (almost) no stones in water. The hotel excepts credit cards (which is needed for food, massages, beach bar, tiny shop). If you eat in another hotel its cash only. Hotel has its own generator, so that you have electricity all day, but during the night you also hear it a bit. -food in room attracts within minutes huge colonies of ants which stay for at least half a day even after cleaning with water. This problem is everywhere on the island. The hotel didn’t have a big fruit choice and some days no fruit at all. Bungalows are not directly in the beach (not beachfront) but a few meters away. No AC :(

Perfect gateway in paradise”

A simple resort located in the island paradise of Koh Ngai. It was calm, peaceful, secluded yet safe. Nui and the staff were amazing. The food was good, the room was good, the atmosphere and the ocean view right in front of the resort was simply from heaven. Highly recommended to anyone looking to spend a few days in a beach paradise away from any noise, hustle or bustle.

Fantastic place at private island”

For travelers that want to spend some time at very private place, this is a great location. Amazing nature with jungle, flowers, turqouise sea and hornbills flying above your head. And very few tourists. There are only two or three restaurants and very few opportunities to accommodate at the island. So you can imagine that services are quite simple, nothing posh, and quite more expensive. But it is definitely worth this paradise :)

Nice hotel on the beach ”

Best location on one of the best beaches I have seen in Thailand. It's less expensive than other resorts on Koh Ngai, but compared to other islands in Thailand it does not have great value in terms of the actual resort and rooms. The beds are really really hard and the rooms can get stuffy with no A/C and one window. The value comes from the beautiful beach and views that you can get from the hotel.

Rude, overworked staff and our room was not available (double booked by resort)”

+Location (the only +) -Room was over booked and not available for us, so we were put in a smelly, dirty room with no clean sheets and mouseshit in the room. Behind the room was a big waste hump. -The next day we complained about it and we asked for a compensation and for our booked room, but the guy from the resort flipped out completely and threatened us that we've to pay everything immediately, "otherwise we would have a big problem" etcetera etcetera. So we've checked out early and went to the Mayalay Resort nearby. After we moved, our holidays at this bounty island really started. So we won't advice to go to KaiMuk Thong Resort. Ridiculous, overworked and stressed staff. Only the money counts for this resort...

Terrible room, good location, good beach bar”

It is a shame that a nice setting like this, great common area including bar & beach goes together with such dissapointing rooms. We had a Family room, matresses were extremely hard (inpossible to have a good sleep), no sheets to cover yourself. Coacroaches in the toilet... We left as soon as we got a possibility for a nicer room in another Resort on the beach. Lost money for a prepaid night but it was a good decision for us still.

This resort is brand new and provides a relaxed and quite environment on one of the most beautiful islands in the southern Adaman. It is perfect for families or solo travellers who wish to have a getaway from all the other super busy islands in Southern Thailand. Kaimuk Thong Resort is located in the centre of the main beach, has a wide range of excellent local and Western food (Spaghetti Carbonara is as in Italy!!!) and the prices are very decent. The bungalows are beautiful (as brand new), the Beach Bar provides all that is needed and the view is stunning. The staff here is super friendly, very helpful and supportive; i.e. they managed my further travels with a big smile and gave me very interesting tips about transport, housing, food, etc. on other island. This helping hand made my journey even more pleasant. The only thing i may complain was that they do not provide WiFi service (yet). However, all nearby resorts do, so its just a 1min walk for to your free internet access. I do love this place, will be back asap! Thank you for the great time!

Exactly what we were looking for”

Found out about this new resort thanks to a previous comment posted on Agoda. So glad we booked there. Brand new concrete bungalow with beach/turquoise sea view, super comfy (and new) mattress. No AC or hot water, but never felt we needed those. Most of the time we didn't even need the fan, as there was a great breeze coming from the sea (mosquito screens on the windows, so you can sleep with windows open no problem). Very good onsite restaurant, resort well taken care of by the very nice family in charge, reef perfect for snorkeling right out front… We ended up staying longer than we had planned, as this was exactly what we were looking for. If you want a simple but clean and bug-free bungalow right on this paradisiac beach at a reasonable cost (Koh Ngai is an expensive island compared to other places in Thailand), I heartily recommand this place.

Paradise ”

I couldn't find any reviews about Kai Muk Thong online but I thought I would take a chance as it was only for 2 days. No one seemed to have heard of it when we took the boat to the island so we were a bit nervous. We found it easily and were pleasantly surprised. The small bungalow, although basic was spotless, with fresh towels, plenty of toilet paper and soap although there was only a shower curtain instead of a bathroom door so be aware if that may be a problem for you. The resort was lovely, bright and well maintained. There was a large restaurant which served great food at reasonable prices and the small welcoming bar overlooking the sea had the cheapest beer we found on the island. The resort is roughly in the middle of the island, and is right on the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was no Wi-Fi at the resort which was the only drawback. Two days was not enough. I think it is quite a new resort, and that's maybe why not many people seemed to know it.

Very affordable, amazing location, friendly staff”

When we first arrived we were a bit nervous about spending 4 nights in our non-air-con room, but we really enjoyed our stay. Can’t beat this place for the low cost! Pros: amazing location right on the middle of the beach, plenty of shaded space to lounge during the hot day, very friendly staff, low price. Cons: we could never get the WiFi to work, no air-con but fan in room (and our room stayed warm all night with only 1 window and no ability to create a cross breeze). Food was great. Cocktails were a little weak though. Easy to rent a kayak- only 100B per hour. Great snorkeling right out front. Thanks Kai Muk Thong for a very relaxing visit!!

Nice comfortable resort with very friendly staff”

We had a good time here. The bungalows were clean and comfortable. The restaurant had good Thai and also western food and the service was always friendly and helpful. Thanks especially to Nui for the good cocktails and the bar and arranging the transfers. If we come back to Ko Ngai we would stay there again.
