Great hotel, great service.”

I arrived at Mumbai airport on 15 May morning and was waiting for the airport pickup. 10 minutes later and still no hotel rep, thought there might have been a mixup and called Kohinoor Continental Hotel. Was attended to by Ms Suprriya who confirmed my reservation, but turned out I booked for 15-17 July instead! Looked at my voucher and realised my blunder, and told her about my error and I was already in Mumbai airport. Ms Suprriya asked me to give her 2 minutes. 2 minutes later, she called my Singapore number and said that a driver will arrive in 10-15 minutes time. Driver arrived punctually and fetched me to the hotel. Hotel is conveniently located close to the airport. Situated along main road, she blended in with the ongoing construction works nearby. Nevertheless, once inside, it's decent and presentable. Check-in counter was briefed by Ms Suprriya and was willing to honour the booking for 15-17 May, but requested that I contact Agoda about the change in dates with new voucher. Called Agoda Singapore who obliged after getting consensus from hotel rep (thanks Agoda, in particular Jason). Hotel rep said to simply forward revised voucher to reservations. Check-in was thus successful, and many thanks to Hotel Kohinoor Continental, in particular Ms Suprriya for making this pleasant. Had a Superior Room which was very clean with pleasant smell. Wooden flooring gave that "homely" feeling. I would say this is similar to most superior rooms in 3–4 star hotels across Asia, neither big nor small, but just sufficient for a business traveller who needs proper work desk, reliable wifi, comfortable and clean bed, functioning bathroom (in this case shower only). Being a breakfast person, I'd consider the buffet spread standard and reasonable, catering to western and Indian palate. You may have to be a bit patient with the wait staffs as they are courteous, but at times forgetful and slow. All in all, it's been a pleasant stay and I'll be returning on my next visit to Mumbai

Kohinoor Continental Chakala, Andheri East is a very good hotel, very clean, very good location just below the Chakala Metro Station. We always prefer it for a short stay at Mumbai especially if you are taking a flight.

We really enjoyed our stay at Kohinoor Continental, also it was very easy to travel with Mumbai Metro line so closed to the Hotel. only problem we had was there were so many Wedding Junctions going on, but we only compliant about the noise once and the Hotel Mangement staff was very understanding and they moved us to the fifth floor in Upgraded room. I will definitely book this Hotel again.

Excellent hotel with great service and ideal location”

I stayed with my family for four nights at the Kohinoor Continental Hotel. Needless to say it was a very pleasant experience - the rooms were clean, the hotel had good facilities for the family (young and old), a very good restaurant that served delicious food, excellent location with all forms of transportation within close range. The service from the staff (i.e. the porters, the reception, the managers and restaurant staff) was the cherry on top - they were very accommodating and managed all of our requirements with a big smile :-)

A lttle bit of luxury amidst the mumbai mayhem”

The hotel was surprisingly of a very good standard. The rooms very clean and a cool welcome from the heat and hustle and bustle of the Mumbai Streets. The staff always polite and accommodating and even though there were a few issues with language problems they were soon overcome. The transfer service was excellent and the hotel even let us use the free service to go to the airport ticket counter when we had problems with our flights.Its the small things that guests appreciate. The only downside of the hotel was the swimming pool area. There were no chairs/loungers for guests to sit round the pool except for one lounger. I would definitely stay at the Kohinoor again and would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Great place to stay in Andheri East”

Hotel Kohinoor Continental is a great hotel from which to visit North Mumbai. The restaurant staff are incredible and the food is excellent. All the staff are helpful and accommodating.

Fantastic hotel for a layover/recoup after flight”

We used this hotel as a layover after our arrival into Mumbai, before our onward journey to Delhi. This hotel is amazingly well-positioned (10 minutes from International terminal), and the atmosphere is one of peace, calm and serenity, despite the mad chaos with traffic outside. The staff are super friendly and efficient, and the food at the Solitaire restaurant is very good. The room was clean and very comfortable. This is a great hotel for short business trips to Mumbai, or as a layover for onward travelling. Well worth the price, and great service!

Excellent service and wonderful location”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kohinoor. The staff always go the extra mile to help you. The location is superb. We found the Reception staff (Deepak and also the front office manager), the housekeeping staff (especially Aatish) and various other staff incredibly helpful. We have stayed there a couple of times for extended periods and have loved it. I would highly recommend this hotel. Shirley Jones

Exceptional”

We had such an amazing stay at Kohinoor.. It is situated in the hustle and bustle. The rooms and facilities are amazing but the staff incredible.. Deepak Pindey and his staff where friendly and helpful and even arranged a food parcel for when we checked out as we were missing breakfast.. Kohinoor service was 5*+ thank you!!

Good hotel in the northern part of Mumbai”

The hotel has a quite good performance-price relation and is situated next to a station of Mumbai's new metro line. Therefore, it is relatively easy to explore the more northern part of Mumbai with the metro. The southern center of Mumbai is quite far away (ca. 20 km), but can be now much better accessed with public transportation and the hotel has also the advantage that it is quite close to the international airport. The breakfast is very good and the staff was friendly. Overall one can say that it is a good choice for a shorter stay in Mumbai for a reasonable price and can therfore be really recommended.

Very good”

I stayed at Kohinoor Continental in August 2019. While the room was very clean and neat. I found the rooms to be a little on the smaller size. The pictures published by Agoda for the Superior room is misleading. Had I known the room is so compact, I would probably have booked a different category room. Did not use any other services at he hotel, I went out for lunch and dinner, hence cannot comment about the food at the hotel.

Good hotel but filthy surrounding”

we liked this hotel and buffet breakfast every morning. staff was very good. but the area around the hotel didn't look as good as on the photos - mumbai metro is in the process of builfing just in front of it, with lots of mess and dirt.

Excellent location and service”

Arrived at 3 am, picked up by the hotel concierge and a driver, checked in in 5 min, was in bed for a very short night 30 min after leaving the airport! Hotel is fine, large room, clean and comfortable, free WiFi. Was used with the Ibis Ville Parle, same rate but farther, charging dearly for airport pickup, WiFi at an additional charge. Had a wonderful time at this hotel when i visited Mumbai. The staff were courteous, friendly and ever willing to help. Spent 2 nights here and the food was excellent and sumptuous. Kohinoor Oasis”

We used the last night of our vacation to rest at the Kohinoor before a long journey home, We should have stayed longer. The atmosphere couple with courteous and pleasant staff made our stay a pleasant one. We would not hesitate to stay there again. Highly recommended.

stay in Dec 2019, overall ok ”

- i have spent major part of my life in South East Asia and hence my review could be biased cause Bali, Thai , Jakarta hotels really pamper you to a limit beyond your imagination. Something Indian 5 or 7 stars can also not match - Overall good hotels some staff are great, some are ok, others need to learn manners. Security manager came to me and speak in a rude tone when i was arranging my luggage before leaving hotel near reception area. - Better compared to other indian hotels but again if i compare internationally well you need to catch up a lot at the same & less price point we get much much better value for money.

For people travelling to Andheri for a business trip it is conveniently located on the main road near a metro station. But I would like to add that smoking rooms are a bit damp and needs to be refurbished. We were not able to use swimming pool, as breakfast for some banquet event was spread around it and one could not use the pool during that time. So pool was of no use. Toilet roll is installed as such height and location that it obstructs comfortable sitting on the toilet seat.

the hotel is near the airport, which is very convenient. the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is great (even live music!!) the rooms were very clean, ther is a swimming pool, and everything worked very well. a good option in mumbai...

This hotel was fab welcoming staff, helped me in every possible way very clean and rooms were really nice, food buffet at lunch was excellent value at 650 rupees, wanted to take chef home with me, 10 mins from airport with free pick up and return to airport, location could have been better but easy access to whereever you want to go in mumbai taxis vrry cheap ..kathy
