Nok is an excellent host and nothing is too much trouble for her. Cooked us lovely Thai food.Our stay was short but really enjoyable. If you are a nature lover it is a great location (2 min drive to national park)

Bungalows are basic but normal for thai countryside. No sunbathing area but lovely gardens full of beautiful birds

We stayed for 8 days and enjoyed every day. The first day we didn’t even bother visiting the very nearby National Park Keang Krachan. That day we saw near 50 different bird species in the garden of Nok (the owner). Nok makes every effort to attend to our wishes, such as preparing delicious vegetarian meals. We also requested for a large bottle (5 gallon) of water, instead of using many small plastic bottles during these 8 days. This only costed around 1.5 USD and lasted the whole week. That was probably cheaper for Nok as well. The bungalow we used didn’t have a refrigerator, but we were invited to use the large ones the resort is using. We also hired Nok’s motorbike to visit birding hotspots in the neighbourhood. The vicinity offers a great number of interesting birds. Nui is the local bird guide staying at Kum Nangpaya. He offers great locations, including his own hide, which he has been working on for two years. His prices are very reasonable when hiring him and his car (Kaeng Krachan NP doesn’t allow motorbikes).

There isn’t much to suggest for improvements for the resort. It is a great place and we recommend it to all birders. Nui is a dedicated birder, although he may not always show that. This is probably partly due to his limited English. He knows many of the larger and colourful birds but may need to be studying the SBBs (small brown birds), like the many Warblers around. He probably knows more than he shares, so you may need to be rather proactive in asking him. If you need help to keep apart the Black Drongo from the Drongo Cuckoo, you need some self-study or hire a more expensive guide. But let this comment not put you off. We were happy joining Nui for several days.

Good location on doorstep of the park. Helpful owner who cooked us vegetarian food. Garden great for bird spotting.

Not cheap by Thai standards but probably linked to fact that not much accommodation in the area. Music from terrace could be intrusive- prefer to listen to sounds of nature.

This place is brilliant for birders! Our room was clean and comfortable (cleaned every day with fresh towels and bath mats) and the food was delicious! We went on the bird tour and to the bird hide and both were amazing. We had a great time watching the birds from the balcony ( of which there were many) and the views were stunning. The hosts were so welcoming and lovely that it felt like we were staying with family. We loved our stay and plan to go back on our next trip to Thailand!

Nothing to dislike

This is a very laid back place, right before the entrance to Kaeng Krachan National Park, and I cannot think of a better location from which to explore the flora and fauna of the area, save the bungalows inside the park. In the rainy season, when the park is closed for visitors (Aug-Oct), this is the best you can do. The owners were very friendly, and the bird feeding station next to the restaurant balcony was second to none. The food prepared by the owner was good and reasonably priced.

The bungalow we stayed in was not in good shape - run down and not very clean. Others may be better. The fact that we didn't think of asking to change room (most of the rooms were vacant, since it was the rainy season) is probably a testimony to how enchanted we were by the local wildlife...

if you are interested in birds and wildlife, this place is ideal. From the comfort of the restaurant ,we saw hornbills ,common flameback ,greenbilled malkoha ,coppersmith barbet and different species of bulbul ,leafbirds and ,flowerpeckers. The owners Nok and Nyu are both extremely kind and helpful and did everything possible to ensure we had a nice time and made us very welcome. Nyu also has a hide in the jungle which is well worth a visit. .We saw blue winged pitta ,laughing thrushes, tickells blue flycatcher ,red junglefowl, scalybreasted partridge whiterumped shama , tree squirrels and tree shrews. Our visit was during the rainy season and apparently you can see even more in dry season !!Location is right next to entrance to kaeng krachan national park, but this was closed for rainy season during our visit.

Amazing experience. Everything was perfect. Can't expect more than this. Staff like family. Gone out of the way to help. Definitely we will make a longer stay. Thank you very much once again for making a memorable trip for us. Paradise of birds 😊

Knock is a wonderful host, the food is great and the location and ambience is great. The location would be marvelous in cooler seasons- we just happened to be there when it was hotter than usual. Lots of birds can be seen from the property.

The bungalows were a little run down which in heat isn't the best. A kettle is provided- but you have to buy everything (including water) so BYO coffee etc if you want to have it in your room. There is no fridge in the room and the power for charging takes forever. They were wipper snipping for a few hours the morning we left- which was not ideal. We probably would not stay here again as at $80 AUD a night it was defiantely over priced, obviously you are pAying for the location, but the bungalow accomodations condition was more $20 level..... So $50-60 a night just for location seems a bit rich.

We went here as we are into birding and wanted to go to the National Park nearby. It was ideal for that as the Owner/Manager’s partner Nui did the guiding in the park and found some very nice birds for us. We also saw quite a few birds from the balcony during breakfast. The food was good and reasonably priced. Nok (the Owner/Manager/Chief Organizer, Head Honcho) managed to collect us from Phetchaburi despite the fact that the restaurant where she was to pick us up from was closed that day. Then she got us to our next destination despite being told the wrong town. I suspect this was not the first time she had to deal with not too clever tourists.

Nothing really, probably wouldn’t suit those that like to stay at the Hilton but you aren’t going to find any Hiltons up there. It is a fair way out.

Good local food. Easy access to National Park. Great Birdlife. Walking around the locality easy and rewarding.

A little muddy after rain walking around the property. Options for eating nearby are limited, though not really needed.

Relax n good for birding, the owner Nuy is a bird guide.... I will come again
